They deliver the produce in a reusable bag on my doorstep. They are SO communicative. Each week, they post what is coming for that week so you have an idea of what to expect. You can fill out a 'do not send' list online if there is anything you don't like, and you can update it at any time. They also have fresh eggs you can add, as well as other add ons from local companies. You can change your preferences at any time, including how frequently they come (weekly, bi-weekly or monthly). All the produce is organic and it's all been delicious! It lasts so long as well. If you have an issue with something being fresh, their costumer service is great. The portion sizes are great as well. I've been very pleased and would highly recommend their delivery service!

But you like what you like so what does my opinion matter lol. But this food lion is always pretty cool and I stumbled upon something very near and dear to my heart at this location so I decided to write them a review. Maybe I'll make this a new norm! This location is always clean and well stocked, so I don't mind dropping in every now and again. This trip I walked in a saw they had new and different types of plants. Which really shocked me lol. I ended up buying a beautiful philodendron at a great price and now I'm sold on this location lol. Very happy with my groceries and my new plant baby!!

The price at cash register often is not what the price tag with MVP discount displays. You print…read moreout the MVP coupons at the kiosk, and at the top of the coupon sheet it says "Extra Savings on Featured Items Auto-Clipped to Your MVP Account". You expect this "auto-clipped" coupon to get registered when you ring up your purchases, but it does not get registered, not always. Had this situation so many times. You have to ask a cashier/associate to adjust the price, then another item with supposedly "auto-clipped" coupon in your purchases also does not give the right price - you again have to ask to adjust the price . . . So annoying! Some associates here have totally apathetic look. You explain why the price for this item should be this and not that, and they say something like "this is what the price in the system is". Absolutely provincial!

I purchased a membership with The Produce Box so I could send fresh produce to my mom who lives in…read moreCharlotte. I found out about TPB online and I really liked the concept of being able to choose what you'd like weekly, and I didn't really want to buy into a CSA. TPB hand-delivers your items, and they have a nice variety of produce, fruits, meats and even different sweets and snacks you can add to your boxes. The very first box my mom received was decent (note: you have to provide your own box)... except it was missing an item, and the quality of one bunch of fruit was poor/damaged. She informed TPB about her damaged fruit and also about the missing item, and they said they would get back to her about it. I definitely understand that mistakes happen, and items are overlooked... so I didn't see this as a big deal. I'm thinking TPB would at the least just include the missing item (or a reasonable equivalent) in the next weeks box, let her know... and problem solved. Nah... A few days passed with no follow up. So I shot out a quick e-mail, and I received a response back the same day letting me know they would look into it. Cool. However, a few more days passed with no follow up! Nah... Meanwhile, my mom received her next weeks box, which was fine. Problem is she is still sans the missing item from the first delivery, and she still has no idea when or if TPB plans to resolve the problem. I'm someone who believes customer service is equally, if not more important than the product received. I want to have my concerns or problems quickly addressed and handled... especially if I'm a new customer! Most memorable to me are the businesses who not only want to make sure you are completely satisfied, but actually follow up and quickly resolve your concerns. To this day, I still haven't heard back from TPB about the missing item. I shouldn't have to contact a business more than once, let alone twice... to get what I paid for. I have cancelled my membership. Mom wasn't happy about it, but she knows how I feel about spending my money on products offered from companies with bad customer service. Now Yelp knows too haha. Some are necessary evils, others aren't. I may have 99 problems, but TPB ain't one...

I have been a fan of farmer's markets and CSA's for a long time and am a BIG fan of both the…read moreregional market and also the Matthews market. However, it's become harder and harder to get to the market on Saturday morning and frequently the best produce is picked over by the early birds! Enter The Produce Box - I'd read a story about this company in Raleigh and was very excited when they expanded to Charlotte! I signed up as soon as they opened here and it was a wonderful decision! Each week I get an amazing box of fresh, organic, local produce - beautiful greens, crisp apples, squash, kohlrabi, the list goes on and on. It's basically a CSA that delivers to you, with the added convenience of online ordering so that you control what you get! I've gotten rave reviews from friends about how good my salads look at work, and I just used some of the spinach for a community dinner that my neighbors loved! They even include a weekly newsletter that explains how best to take care of your goodies and cook them (in case you don't know!) I recommend The Produce Box to anyone who wants fresh, seasonal produce delivered with a smile each week!

Steaks and chicken and pork are cheap, cheap. And the produce is cheap. And the dairy is cheap. I find that I can pick up about three quarters of my family shop here and it costs less than half of what it does at Publix or Teeter. And I have never had a problem with quality like I do from Walmart. The store is clean and well stocked. The staff are friendly and helpful (there just aren't many of them) and the parking lot is clean. Yes, you need to bring a quarter for your cart (this policy is not in force during the pandemic) and you will be bagging your own groceries. They sell bags, so you'll want to bring your own. As I entered tonight there was an employee removing the empty boxes from the shelves and tiding up the shelves from a busy shopping day. There was another employee in the freezer section restocking. At Aldi, I feel confident in buying their store brands. Their crackers, cereal, cookies, and many other items are actually better than the name brands. Their frozen foods are great. The produce is fresh. They also sell some nonfood items. Some toys. Sometimes gardening items. It changes seasonally. Tonight they had holiday decorations on display.
