Harris Teeter in Fort Mill has been my go-to grocery store since a move nearby 6 months ago, especially thanks to their Deli department. The staff there is friendly, quick, and always willing to help you find what you're looking for. They do the critical job of listening to the type of slices I want and complying. I also really appreciate their enclosed refrigerated sections throughout the store. It keeps the aisles comfortable, the products cold, and everything feels cleaner and more thoughtfully arranged compared to open‑air coolers you see elsewhere. I presume that there is also an efficiency gain for electricity usage which I can also appreciate. One downside for me is their Bakery. I appreciate a selection of freshly baked goods and find that lacking here. Another is their craft beer selection. It's noticeably limited compared to other grocery stores in the area, and it feels like an opportunity they haven't fully tapped into yet. A few more local or seasonal options would go a long way. Overall, though, even though I miss my Lowes Foods, it's a good store with decent service and a layout that makes shopping pretty easy to navigate. read more

This Harris Teeter isn't the closest store to my home, but I find myself coming back to it whenever I'm already out running errands in the area. It's consistently clean, easy to navigate, and just a really reliable place to shop. As a transplant from Northern California, my grocery habits were shaped by stores like Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Grocery Outlet, and the amazing bulk selection at Rainbow Grocery. I haven't quite found that same bulk-style option here in Charlotte yet--and while I do miss having an H Mart nearby like in the Bay Area, this Harris Teeter does a great job filling the gap for everyday shopping in between my larger grocery runs. Parking is always easy, and the store layout is one of the things I appreciate most. The aisles here feel a little wider than the one in my building uptown in Fourth Ward, which makes shopping more comfortable--especially when the store is busy. The self-checkout lines move quickly, and there's always an attendant nearby to help when someone gets stuck with the machine. I originally popped in for something simple--milk and cookies--but as usual, I ended up leaving with a few extras because the selection is just that good. I found bucatini pasta on sale, which was a nice surprise, and I couldn't pass up some of my regular favorites from the deli and bakery. Highlights for me include: * Fresh produce section that's consistently well stocked * Bakery items, especially the pre-sliced caraway rye bread * Boar's Head deli meats, including the London broil and honey-cured ham * A solid selection of cheeses--my go-to is a good Gruyère I don't typically buy my primary proteins here since I tend to save those purchases for Whole Foods, but Harris Teeter is perfect for those in-between trips when you need quality ingredients without making a special trip across town. Bottom line: Clean store, easy parking, friendly service, and dependable selection. This is the BIGGEST H-T in the Uptown area of the CLT! If they don't have it you probably don't need it. Advertised at 53,000 sq feet, it has the Pizza Station, Asian Bar, Deli, Starbucks, Wine & Beer bar, huge parking lot all right in the midst of the densely populated LoSo/South End neighborhood. This was the site of the SECOND H-T & was closed in 1988. It has the VINTAGE signs from the early stores. I really like that it has the outside patio with tables/chairs adjacent to the Starbucks where you can watch the comings/goings on S Blvd. Occasionally they have live music performances in the wine/beer bar, who would have ever thought that would be a thing @ H-T?! This review is for the Deli, specifically for the sub shop. Today I placed an order for two sandwiches, mid afternoon. I asked for both to be toasted. Pickup 3.30. We were on our way to pick it up and I got a text that the order was ready. Not busy. When I got to the deli the orders had barely been started. Finally got the order. One sandwich was fine, but the meatball sandwich was poor. The meatballs were cold the sandwich was not heated. I've always thought HT had the best subs. This location continues to improve and delight. The hot bar (next to the wine bar which is sinfully convenient) is a nice break from cooking. Each evening they run a special. My wife reminded me that Thursday is Prime Rib dinner for $9.99. Well, it's a monster portion and if you arrive early enough, you might be lucky to have one sliced according to your doneness preference. Me? Medium rare is teetering on overcooked. Tonight was a perfect m/rare. This baby weighed in on my food scale at 22.45 ounces. Yepper, that's good eating at any price. Life's for living so I say, "give 'em a whirl." read more

This is the new and best HT in town! The store has everything you need and more! Covers all grocery areas and bases of foods, drinks, health, produces, etc. A great variety of products and options. The location is right in South Blvd and the parking lot is pretty sizable, along with some street parking spaces. The aisles are neat and clean and plenty of product on the shelves. I started coming here during Covid because of the grocery pickup but during the last few months I have had countless overcharges on my pickup order bill. One $30 over charge took me two phone calls and an in-person visit over a week just to get reimbursed. I am extremely disappointed in the staff at this location... My boyfriend & I frequent this location as it's usually cleaner and better stocked. Lately, he had been having issues swiping one of his cards and it had been needing to be manually entered in. Today as we were going through self-checkout, he was trying to explain to this woman, (I am unsure of her name, however she was a short, elderly white woman with wannabe orange hair), that he needed to manually enter in his card info. She dramatically began explaining that they do not do that at Harris Teeter, and that he would need to speak to his "case worker" and get a new card...... (my boyfriend is African-American, mind you). She then began snatching up the items we were attempting to buy, as if we had no other form of payment and was trying to rush us along..... I told her to put the items down because I still planned on buying them with my own card..... This part of Charlotte was a food desert for a little while but now there's this excellent Harris Teeter (and a "P" a couple of blocks away) to provide for all the condos and lofts that are going in to the South End neighborhood. This is a nicely laid out store with a large fresh food area and even a beer/wine counter where a few folks were eating their lunches. The full store has the usual high quality and clean Teeter feel to it with meats, seafood, deli, beer/wine and such. Prices are competitive and looked about normal for a Teeter in Charlotte. Wonderful grocery store (minus the fact that they have a police officer at the door). I guess there is a lot of theft. The selection of fresh food is amazing and the variety is just as good. Love the fact that they have a beer and wine bar that you can get a glass and do your shopping. The beer selection is is solid and I was so happy they have an entire aisle dedicated to local brews. They have pre made sushi, pizza, sandwiches, coffee and desserts to go. The staff was super helpful and even saved us a couple of bucks when trying to pick sandwich rolls. This Harris Teeter has the best bar in South end. I am known among my friends and family to always want to go to the Harris Teeter bar and a lot of times I even just go alone and hang out with the townies. There's great drinks deals like the four dollar prosecco and cheap pints on weekdays. There's nothing quite like walking around the grocery store while drinking wine although I do think it makes me spend a lot more money. Plus there's a woman who works at the self check out many afternoons and evenings and if you're a regular at this Harris Teeter you know who I'm talking about when I say she is the nicest most bubbly outgoing person in the world. She puts a smile on my face every day and makes Harris Teeter just that much better. Last thing I'll say is it the customer service department in general is extremely professional and treat their customers great. I recently bought a thing of superglue that came out dry and didn't work and I brought it back with just the torn up packaging and they immediately gave me a refund and replace the superglue. I am an Instacart shopper and I am in this store a lot. Today I had three different shops and all three time I was disappointed with an employee named Christain. This young man stood at the self checkout desk and was texting or playing a game while customers were receiving alerts on the register. The alert stated someone is on the way to help. He never came. I have to scan my coupons for instacart. Finally, I young lady that had finished ringing up her customers on the register came over and assisted me. The second time I came, Christain and another young man were in front of the customer service desk playing. Not paying attention when the coupon alert came again. The last time once again he was a the self check out desk when the alert came, on his phone and it took him 5 minutes to come assist me. I timed it. When I am held up in the store due to an employee not doing their job then I lose money due to my delivery being late. I have been shopping here for years and I have never been so disappointed. The store and it's products are great and usually so is the customer service. But today I heard a lot of customers say this would be their last time. It will definitely be my last time. So this review is solely for the event station and bar but I am sure the rest of the store is just as great! The event station is location to the left right past the cash registers and has great nightly specials including my favs Lobster Wednesday that comes with a baked potato and corn on the cob for 11.99 it was so good and barely made it home. Prime Rib Thursday that comes with roasted potatoes (seasoned perfectly) and a veggie medley. And Crab Cake Friday with a roasted corn & jalapeño salsa (I didn't like it) and steamed broccoli (it was over cooked). Once you order you can pay & eat at the bar or checkout at a register and take it home. The bartenders are all so friendly I've met a couple of them. I'm gonna just gloss over the groceries because that's what you expect to see. Yeah, they have Super Doubles and Triples with the coupons. Produce is still good. Meat is still good quality and the shelves are decently stocked. Now here comes the fun parts: 1) There's a bar. Ask yourself how many times you've walked into a store to pick up some Yukon gold potatoes and had the pleasure to ask someone, "Excuse me, where's the bar?" Listen. I've been frustrated while grocery shopping before and totally WANTED a bar, but there wasn't one. This place? They got you. 2) The bar has specials. Every. Day. Do you realize the bonus that this provides? You don't have time to brunch on Sunday morning because you gotta do a big dinner? $4 mimosa at the HT. Bam. Running late and irritated on a Monday evening after work, but you still gotta stop by the grocery store? Half price glasses of wine. Ka-pow. Don't have time to make it all the way home and you wanna check in on the Hornets game? Grab a beer and see what's on the television at the bar. Like, whaaaaat? Okay. 3) The hot bar is a busy person's DREAM. So, you don't have time to actually cook a real meal, but you're hungry? This store offers hot actual meals that can be prepared daily from 4:30 pm until 7:00 pm. Prime rib? Lobster? Mongolian noodle bowls? It's all within your reach. Right next to the bar, so you can have a drink while you wait. I cannot deal. 4) They have live music. Is this still a grocery store? I mean, I see the cereal, but I'm hearing a jazz cover of Semisonic's Closing Time or something. What is happening here? Pass me that zucchini, though. I have a list to get through. Okay, so here's the downside: this parking lot. It's a doozy. Developers don't give you as much room in the lots as they used to. I would park toward the outer edges and walk up. Been here twice in one week. It's great to have another supermarket here aside from Publix. So let the competition begin. What I like about this particular Harris Teeter is their Food Court area which is like huge. Lots of options for take out on the go and especially for nights you just do not want to cook. Nice selection of wines. Price are a bit more compared to Publix. Only dollar difference with apple pie $4.99 versus $3.99 for Thanksgiving week at Publix. HT trying to get into the SouthEnd game... and honestly, I'm pretty impressed. It is a very large location and the layout is not what I'm used to because there's a large "bar" that's in the middle of the place. They really designed it to make your grocery trip "an experience". Probably my only qualm/hesitation about the place is the parking lot... which can get tricky getting in and out off of South Blvd. Yes... the opening day crowds have died down, but the other businesses that will occupy the same shopping center have not moved in yet and the parking lot was about 50-60% full on a Saturday afternoon. We will just have to wait and see, but I do like how they placed the businesses in between South and the parking lot. A small oasis from the busy South Blvd traffic. The usual staples are here, they just seem "bigger" [insert Jurassic Park reference here]. They could still be getting used to the opening, but there was plenty of staff to help you out and plenty of samples: fruit, cheese, etc from just walking around. Just like all new stores, it will take a while to adjust and figure out the asiles, but I guess I get frustrated easily since I used to be a stocking groceries during the third shift.... so technically you could call me a "night stocker" (the okay kind, not the bad: "stalker" kind) for Harris Teeter and I pretty much memorized the aisles for the store I worked for and it messes me up everywhere I go. It does help when I check out and know most of the fruit and veggie codes for the U-scan. Anyways... it will be a tough call for me to choose between Publix (where I usually go) and the new HT. They did a really good advertising for the store because the address is burned into my brain.... 2717. The hot food section is larger with a wide variety of food to pick. The bakery is a little smaller then some other HT that I been in. The Starbucks has a HUGE section also. So you're thinking... "Great, another Teeter!" Oh but it's so much better than that. This is my local HT and I'm so happy that it is. It opened within the last year and is clean and fresh. Plenty of parking, clean restrooms and of course it sells groceries. Let me rave on their staff....Their staff is beyond wonderful. They are helpful and are happy to be there. They are proud to be a member of their team and are friendly in saying hello or by asking if you need anything, whether it's to find a lane with less customers to providing assistance In finding a specific item. This location has a large bakery section with lots of quality products. This is now my go to for special occasion cakes and sweets. They have make your own trail mix station, salad bar, hot food bar. I'm fond of their breakfast bar but tend to visit it during the weekends only due to my schedule. They also have a chef area where they have breakfast specials during morning hours (omelet station) and dinner specials in the evening. I'm not kidding when I say that this location is literally like a grown up's playground. Did I mention that there's a bar Inside this location? They have daily specials (such as half price rose' on Saturdays and Mimosas on Sunday!) and the bar tenders there are super friendly and welcoming. It's always fun to drink a beer and meet a neighbor while drinking said adult beverage. There's live music on Fridays next to the bar. If drinking onsite isn't your thing, their adult beverage section is one of the largest that I've seen within a grocery store. Great variety of wines and many, many beers. STARBUCKS, People! So who isn't looking for a great deal? Well with it being the eve of my birthday why not rest myself to a Lobster Dinner! For 11.99 I got a Lobster dinner with corn and a potato. Felt just like I was in New England. This is the Wednesday special at at the special event station. They have other specials throughout the week including prime rib, crab cakes, and even an omelette station. The times vary for the specials but they all are reasonably priced. But now back to by lobster. The lobster had great flavor and was a good size about 1 lb. We ate in the wine bar and of course we had a glass of wine. They also have a good selections of wines that are also reasonably priced. Defiantly will be back especially for the prime rib! read more

When visiting North Carolina my husband and I went to Harris Teeters a lot it as it was the closest grocery store to us and it had food that we could pick up and get it right then and there. It also had a huge beer selection, especially when compared to grocery stores in Florida such as Publix. If you went too late there wasn't much left in the way of prepared foods. But we were able to get some chicken, rice, and vegetables and have that hold us over for two days instead of having to eat at restaurants every day. Overall, the next time that I'm in North Carolina for an extended stay, I will stop by Harris Teeters to pick up anything that I need during my trip. read more
