Harris Teeter in the Rea Farms Shopping Center, Ballantyne, Charlotte NC

Harris Teeter is the nicest chain of supermarkets in the Charlotte region and this one is definitely a great example of that. This store, like others, is clean, bright and large. The shelves are well-stocked and there is a variety with several brands in categories. The associates I interacted with were pleasant, the queues for registers were short and my shopping cart was good. Parking lot was clean with very few carts in the corrals out there. Deli area was clean, produce section was very well stocked and there's a beer/wine bar where you can get a pint with your shopping or enjoy some of the ready-to-eat food there. There are a few deals here and there for sure. Definitely get a VIC card for discounts. The stuff here is not cheap, but it's all high quality. [Review 11570 overall, 1350 of 2019.]

Marinated medium rare cooked steak that was horrible due to the amount of chewy sinew throughout.

This is the second HT with bad steaks. Bought a bone in ribeye at Blakeney on Thanksgiving and the steak was full of sinew, ligaments and hard chewy fat. Very little lean meat. Thought I would give another HT a try and bought same steak at Waverly. Got the same result, see photo. I've bought steaks from HT stores for 30 years and these past few months have been the absolute worst ever. I guess they have a cheap supplier and no QC? Kroger has totally messed up this once respectable Carolina grocery chain.

Wow - this place is massive and pretty awesome. The hot bars and salad bars have a really big selection all at reasonable prices. The seafood and fresh meat section is monstrous and even has Angus Beef aging in a special case. There's even a small kiosk up front where you can pick up a different full dinner every night of the week. When we were there, Prime Rib was featured. You can grab your food and go to the bar for a draught beer. I was able to partake in a couple of Blueprint IPA from Birds Fly South at only $4 each!! Harris Teeter has really upped their game and made some very unique and innovative shopping experiences. And of course the beer selection was quite impressive. I would have given them 5 stars but as I started looking more closely at the beer I had put in my cart, some of the "born on" dates were from as far back as August of 2018 (NODA Roaring Riot, Sixpoint Bengali). I went from a full case in my cart down to one four pack. Please get your vendors to take back their old beer! Otherwise, holy cow Mr. Teeter this place is fantastic!!

Wow, what an incredible store! They have a handful of awesome amenities inside such Starbucks, a bar, yes, you read that right, enormous a hot-food bar, fresh bakery, fresh pizza, large deli counter and a terrific selection of cheeses. There are several high-tops and seating at the bar area with orderable food. They have a fantastic variety of groceries --certainly one of the best in the area, and well-stocked shelves. The organization of the store is great, it's very well planned and laid out, with a clean and airy spacious feel. In addition to the high-tops, there is a ton of seating next to the Starbucks to eat, have coffee and work with USB and power outlets readily available. The staff are extremely friendly and polite, and there is plenty of parking up front. Easy on and out from surround main roads. A much needed, and extraordinary addition to the community to have a grocery store of this size.

I worked/lived in Northern Va for 15 years and would drive distances to do my grocery shopping there. BUT, this location is without a doubt THE most challenging location. For many reasons. The store lay out is like a jig saw puzzle. In no way does it follow the layout of all the other stores I've been to. The WORST part is the entry/exit and parking. Most every time I've been, there is always a near miss with someone pushing a cart with everything but groceries in the driveway entrance/exit. The most recent experience is why I finally decided to post this review as a WARNING. Beware, there are people who act as though they are trying to get hit. You can draw your own conclusions as to why but it's a fact. Yesterday, this person is approaching the entry crossing pushing a cart. I'm making a right turn off Central into the lot. We make eye contact, they stop as I inch closer into the entry way...then they STOP right in the middle of the crossing and act like they are pulling up their PANTS off the ground. There are vehicles behind me on the horn because they can't see what's going on. It's a highly dense, intense traffic location. On every side there are pedestrians, cyclers, dog walkers and people pushing carriages.

Their self checkouts are totally off the rails. If you lean forward and your shirt touches the scan area they lock up and call over the attendant to review the little video of you not actually stealing anything, sometimes two or three times in a checkout session. It's kinda insulting for a store that is otherwise so lax that there was a crafty panhandler actually lurking *inside* the store on a recent run, hitting me up to pay for their grocery basket.

I managed to get off the highway and make my way to this Circle K before it was lights out! I called roadside service and was told it would be 2 hours before they could get to me! Since I had been driving straight through, I had to use the restroom! I went inside the store and was told that they didn't have a restroom and that a QT station was 2 blocks away! I explained that my car needed service and that it was going to be 2 hours before they could get to me! After about 20 minutes, I walked back into the store and beg the clerk to use the restroom! The two clerks had a meeting on whether or not they would let me use the restroom! It seems they were more concerned about being on camera letting me use the restroom than anything! Both were leaving the decision to the other! Needless to say, they relented and let me use the restroom! I must admit the restroom was clean, labeled, well-lit, and stocked! I'm not going to lie, It was humiliating to beg to use a restroom even with a sign stating that there was one! Thank you, Circle K, for letting me relieve myself! Stop lying about the restrooms and allow them to be used by someone other then your staff! Not all people are homeless or degenerates! #circlek #qt #quicktrip
