Nice looking location but Everyone looks miserable working here, shelves are consistently out of stock, this store has some inventory issues, and from the meat section to self checkout to the guy pretending to sweep by dragging the broom it seems obvious that management has given up or is completely disengaged.. maybe some daily employee meetings, quarterly inventory but Eitherway someone needs to be more involved with managing at a high level, always top down issues when the bottom looks so rough. read more

Ok. I did it! I stopped at Harris Teeter (Rea Farms/Waverly) and got......Prime. Rib. THURSDAY! Bad news: it's $17.99, NOT $10 (since Covid) and you can't get more than one slice to a purchase. Good news: omg...still amazing and a nice (still less expensive) generous portion! The potatoes and veggies were actually cooked perfectly, we only doctored them a little bit seasoning wise. I am here to say: if you're crazy busy with work, tired after a rough week and just want a gourmet meal at home in your PJs? Oh, yeah! They give you horseradish sauce and au jus to bring home. This is the BEST Harris Teeter location! I shop here often and I love getting food from the hot bar, especially for breakfast. They offer an assortment of foods for a great price, especially compared to other stores' hot bars. I also shop from the sushi section quite often. They have many different rolls and combos available. The ingredients are fresh and the prices are CHEAP for what you're getting. If you've got a sweet tooth like me, you'll want to grab some fresh baked cookies from the pizza counter. Yum! What else you should keep an eye out for: beautiful flower bouquets, a huge selection of beer and wine, and the beverage cooler at self-checkout if you need some hydration on the go. The store is always clean and organized and the employees are so friendly. This location also has a bar, which I haven't visited just yet but it's on my to do list. read more

Harris Teeter is the nicest chain of supermarkets in the Charlotte region and this one is definitely a great example of that. This store, like others, is clean, bright and large. The shelves are well-stocked and there is a variety with several brands in categories. The associates I interacted with were pleasant, the queues for registers were short and my shopping cart was good. Parking lot was clean with very few carts in the corrals out there. Deli area was clean, produce section was very well stocked and there's a beer/wine bar where you can get a pint with your shopping or enjoy some of the ready-to-eat food there. This is a 'massively' large Grocery store. What will set this location apart is the 'wine bar'. Situated next to a large wine & beer section. It was several large HDTV's behind the bar and on Friday and Saturday evenings they have live music. Not a full band but a picker/singer performer doing acoustic sets. This is the second HT with bad steaks. Bought a bone in ribeye at Blakeney on Thanksgiving and the steak was full of sinew, ligaments and hard chewy fat. Very little lean meat. Thought I would give another HT a try and bought same steak at Waverly. Got the same result, see photo. I've bought steaks from HT stores for 30 years and these past few months have been the absolute worst ever. I guess they have a cheap supplier and no QC? Kroger has totally messed up this once respectable Carolina grocery chain. read more

Wow - this place is massive and pretty awesome. The hot bars and salad bars have a really big selection all at reasonable prices. The seafood and fresh meat section is monstrous and even has Angus Beef aging in a special case. There's even a small kiosk up front where you can pick up a different full dinner every night of the week. When we were there, Prime Rib was featured. You can grab your food and go to the bar for a draught beer. I was able to partake in a couple of Blueprint IPA from Birds Fly South at only $4 each!! Harris Teeter has really upped their game and made some very unique and innovative shopping experiences. And of course the beer selection was quite impressive. I would have given them 5 stars but as I started looking more closely at the beer I had put in my cart, some of the "born on" dates were from as far back as August of 2018 (NODA Roaring Riot, Sixpoint Bengali). I went from a full case in my cart down to one four pack. Please get your vendors to take back their old beer! Otherwise, holy cow Mr. Teeter this place is fantastic!! read more

I was here with colleagues as part of a work trip, and it really is an impressive store! This store is pretty new, and it's in a very prime location. Lots of selection throughout the store, but a few things in particular were great to see. Their beer and wine section is very extensive, and although prices are on the high side, there's a lot of selection. This is located near the bar and eating area, which has some great selections as well. We ate in this area for lunch, which was pretty enjoyable. They also do live music from time to time, which is pretty cool. Something else we saw that was cool was dry-aging beef for sale. I don't typically see that in grocery stores in the Northeast, so that was a nice touch. read more

Wow, what an incredible store! They have a handful of awesome amenities inside such Starbucks, a bar, yes, you read that right, enormous a hot-food bar, fresh bakery, fresh pizza, large deli counter and a terrific selection of cheeses. There are several high-tops and seating at the bar area with orderable food. They have a fantastic variety of groceries --certainly one of the best in the area, and well-stocked shelves. The organization of the store is great, it's very well planned and laid out, with a clean and airy spacious feel. In addition to the high-tops, there is a ton of seating next to the Starbucks to eat, have coffee and work with USB and power outlets readily available. The staff are extremely friendly and polite, and there is plenty of parking up front. Easy on and out from surround main roads. A much needed, and extraordinary addition to the community to have a grocery store of this size. read more

Incredible new HT with in store bar and huge selections of food, beer and wine. I had a great experience at this HT buying baby food and beer! They have an impressive selection for baby food, supplies and products for children. Also, the environment is friendly and more restaurant like in the prepared food and bar selection. I didn't stop by the bar this time but they had wine samples and wide array of local beers!! The service was excellent too. I look forward to visiting again! read more

The new HT was long awaited and I'm so happy to have this addition to the neighborhood. It's a All in One Family Fun stop if that makes sense. On a Friday night you can catch several families with small children and older children alike placed in the center of the restaurant at the bar area where a live band is playing good tunes and the adults are having wine or beer and everyone including the children are indulging in some food from one of the many food destination bars places throughout the store. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming when you enter until you exit and management is always on top of things. I had an exceptional experience with the manager Casey as my daughter and I grabbed breakfast from the hot bar one morning and once we arrived home to eat my daughter sliced into her French toast and it was full of egg yolk. I called to inform them to have them to remove that yummy crispy looking batch from the bar to avoid selling raw food and Casey was so appreciative and ask me to come back for a fresh order and a refund. I informed him that I wasn't heading back that day but would come see him when I did come back to grab groceries in a few days. I did just that and Casey informed me of a money back policy that HT has which requires them to give a 200% refund for such a situation. I declined but he made it evident that I should except the refund with their sincere apologies as they removed the entire pan and found that it wasn't cooked. The chef table provides dinners for a family of 4-5 weekly for anywhere from $9.99 - $15 and the line is almost always long. I've never purchased as it's always something my family doesn't eat but it's such a great thing and option for families to get dinner on the table hot and affordable. This location is my new favorite and I tend to come in multiple times a week. I've met some awesome people here in The form of customers and staff. If in the area or if not you should come check this location out as it's very clean, well lite and fully stocked. read more

My absolute fav grocery store, nothing better than doing a food order and sipping wine... or taking a break from shopping and sitting by the bar to listen to some live music on Fridays, whomever was the genius that came up with this idea! Wide variety of everything you need and you don't have to break the bank cause it's all reasonably prices because don't forget you are still at HT not at a fancy all organic super overrated food store. Grocery stores are for good shopping but this location makes me feel like I'm among family because the staff and management are genuine and friendly. They are also willing to help and knowledgable. The deli staff always cut and package the meats and cheeses spot on. Very good selection of GF foods that are in one area and also scattered within the aisles. Fabulous selections on their hot food bars, soup bar, Asian food bar, Wings bar, salad bar and olive bar, not to mention fresh pizzas are avaialable. Very nice speciality cheese and bread selections, too! Weekday dinner specials are the best! Delicious food, nice portions and so affordable! Weekends are when you can get an create your own omelette. You'd imagine prices for health and beauty aides to be higher at a food store but that is not the case here. Actually, what I buy is cheaper here then those other stores designated for H&BA. Management always makes sure there's plenty of cashiers open, plus they have two areas for self checkout. And who doesn't like being able to have wine &/or beer while shopping? Live music on the weekends, too! Again, excellent service at the bar, too. It was all that and then some. Harris Teeter out did themselves with this store. It was almost as good as good as a Wegmans, and that's saying a lot. For those of you who have never been to a Wegmans, you are missing out. Anyway, I am not taking anything away from this store. It had more of a marketplace feel to it, than a grocery store! The entire time I was walking around this store, I was thinking this: if my father could pop back down to earth and go to this grocery store (he loved to grocery shop), just what would he think? With all of the young women walking around shopping as they sipped their wine and talked on their cell phones, grocery shopping has definitely evolved to a very different experience today than when he left us thirty years ago. He would marvel at the enormity of the store and the selection of food items. I wish I could zap him back and send him shopping there, just to see what he would come home with, both food items and stories. Since this won't happen, I will have to enjoy this store on his behalf. Even I cannot get over all of those women walking around with wine glasses. Imagine the conversation with their husbands as they prepared to go grocery shopping. WOW, WOW, WOW. I never walked into a grocery store and thought I would experience what I have experienced at this Harris Teeter. The bar, yes I said the bar, was full of patrons enjoying the big screen TVs. I heard there is a band that plays INSIDE the store. After work the other night, I saw a line almost out the door, they were there for the nightly special meal (Prime Rib, cut to order). Beautiful new Harris Teeter. It is the largest Harris teeter I've ever been to. Has a wide variety of items but they are all spread out all over the store. It took me 20 minutes just to find all the ingredients I needed to make a simple spinach manicotti. The hardest to find was the ricotta cheese. It was in a totally different area from the other cheeses. The prices are normal and the workers are friendly. read more
