First off everyone who worked there was extremely nice. So that is why they have 3 stars. However, despite having some discount, I found a lot of the stable shelf food was priced too high or too close to what you can buy in the regular retail store. I didn't feel like I was getting much of a discount. There's a sign that states no picture taking of merchandise, I get it, basically you're only saving $1 or 2, when if you bought it at the store the food would be further away from the expiration date. Taking pictures would show proof of that. In my picture you see a Rao's marinara sauce at Walmart for 6.98, it was 6.99 at Bargain Max. Again the people are nice! But the prices just aren't what I consider a bargain. read more

Found a few bargains here. Some items are higher than Walmart. Bought two frozen chickens and had to throw them out! Spoiled! You have to be careful. Lots of things are date-expired - for some things that's OK, for others not. It's hit and mess. The store is sometimes a mess. Went today and store was dark and shuttered... people waiting to get in. Called store number and was told they were " stuck on 85". I just came off 85 and saw no traffic problems. Hmmm.... Not worth burning the gas to save a few cents. The mall it is in is almost dead.. This is a new location for this store. They are still going through opening pains with getting all the cans,clothes, and food items organized This is a no frills place with great prices if they have what you are looking for. There are many freezers that have frozen meats and foods. There is a cooler that has cheese and drinks. The several isles are stocked with a multitude of items. They have rice, pasta, fruit , condiments, beauty products, crackers, peanuts,juices and lots more grocery items They have big cans of all sorts of vegetables and fruit and beans the cans are usually dented so really look them over before you buy On Wednesday they have a frozen food and produce sale from 12 to 12:30. They get in all kinds of stuff, like peppers tomatoes, fruit,potatoes,and butter. You never know what they will have. If you want to go for the produce sale ,get there before 12 to get a cart and put on rubber gloves that they supply. They say a prayer at 12 and you search for what for what interests you. You take your cart with your items to the register to check out. You can take your time to search the isles but the frozen food and produce will be put away after 12:30 I go there to stock up on cans , tuna, condiments. Frozen chicken, and pasta sauce. You have to be bargain shopper and not a snob to shop here. You go here to save money,and often they have expensive items at a great price read more

I call this "the dented can store" because I don't want people to know I shop at Bargain Max. Along with slightly damaged groceries and dry goods, several times a week they sell frozen food by the box or bagful in a 30 minute free for all...that starts with a group prayer. No joke. You can get great deals on 20 lbs of chicken wings or a 5 lb bag of carrots, but that's not why I come here. In the grocery/dry food section they often have wonderful gourmet items for super-reduced prices. I've bought 48 oz. jars of Spanish capers for $2.50, and spent $1.50 on 28 oz cans of imported Italian fire roasted tomatoes. Tubs of shaved Parmesan for $1.00 and a pound of curly kale for .50 cents. Last week I got 8 oz. balls of fresh mozzarella for $1 each. Sometimes there are freebies, like organic milk or ripe fruit. This place is not for divas. You have to have a bargain shopper's eye & patience but if you do, Bargain Max can be a ball! read more

This store has been a blessing to my family! The prices are great! I don't mind boxes/cans being dented...I don't eat the packaging! The people are extremely friendly. I purchased merchandise recently from Bargain Max. It was chicken that was described to me to as being wholesome and only older than 5 month. Well when I got the chicken it was up to 7 years old and totally unusable. We called and wrote to Doug Hipps to this date have not gotten a response. I have since had to throw away the chicken and am in the process of getting the USDA involved. read more

I like this place. The staff is always so kind. They always smile and speak. My first time here i couldnt find the entrance but someone pointed me in the direction and i was like oh! I had no idea it was a legit warehouse lol. Dimly lit, no particular order, tons of stuff everywhere, but who cares! The prices are fabulous. Check the dates if your into that because some things are just shy of a sell by date but again who cares. My favorite thing about this place is plugins for cheap lol yes i said glade plugins for cheap. And snacks for cheap. I am snacker and they are usually broken down in singles and sold that way. So i rack up on chips/cakes/cookies/candy/etc. I absolutely love it. I am a non meat eater so i can't tell you about meat deals but the condiments, cans, cereal, etc are a great price. I also get to go containers from here. They too are reasonably priced. Go here, you'll love it. So many great finds. I just adore this place i just pray for more flexible hours i can only try to make it on Saturdays. The are never open when i'm off work. read more

Bargains galore! This place has saved my family over many years by allowing me to afford high-end restaurant quality food at prices less than Aldi's. My kids LOVE it when I bring home a 5 pound bag of giant chicken fingers, made of all breast meat, just like you find at Zaxby's. I've paid as little as $7.50 for those 5 pound bags. Take your own soft-side cooler or those freezer bags you get at Sam's Club or BJs. Get there before the noon frozen sale begins to get a good spot to see what they have that day and hear the prices. Make sure you have room at home in your freezer to stash all the great deals you buy. No air conditioning, no heat, and no frills. Just warehouse bargains trucked in every day except Sunday. They even sell closeouts, returns, and damages from BJ's, Costco, and Sam's club. I LOVE Bargainmax! read more

I LOVE Bargain Max! It's where I go to make my money stretch! It's not just dented cans either! You can get produce - I got red potatoes there the other day for 25 cents a pound! And they were fresh! No rotten or sprouted parts to cut off at all! Brand name cereal! Baking supplies! Fancy seltzer and cocktail mixes! Gourmet olives and cookies! All kinds of awesome stuff you use everyday! Sure it's not a pretty looking store but if you can tell where I can get a big pack of fresh tortilla for under 1.00 let me know! And the ladies are the sweetest ever! Love them gals!
