On May 11, 2024 a two tier half naked cake was ordered for our dessert table. The original flavor was chocolate-?. On May 18, because that cake flavor wasn't popular or desirable, a call was made to the bakery to change the flavor. The order edit was confirmed. On May 31, the cake was picked up at 11:20 AM and arrived to the venue. While the cake was pretty, and a personal topper was added to make it even prettier, regretfully it was not the flavor that we ordered. Contrary to the "baker's" confirmation, the edit/change was not made. This was not observed until the cake was cut. While the other desserts, from other companies were demolished, 3/4 of this Harris Teeter 2 tier chocolate something flavor cake was untouched. What a waste of money! Of course there was nothing to do at that point. We called 2 weeks later and was put on hold for 13minutes after sharing our concern then eventually disconnected. Since a contact name (Diana) and number was left with the order we were hoping that at the very least someone would call back. Nothing! What a disappointing low-grade experience. read more

Harris Teeter is my go to for produce and any rare seasoning that I need for a recipe. What local grocery store provides three different types of bok choy at a reasonable prices. You definitely can't beat their buy 2 get 3 free deal it knocks out any bulk store for that week. Lol. Also, I love the fresh pizza you can order. This location has a salad bar and pizza station. Shelves are always filled when I come in to shop. Staff are available when you need help. read more

Ever since Kroger bought the company the inventory has diminished. For some reason they gutten the bakery for the fresh whole grain breads. Cut it down to half. And every other time we do the home shopping they're completely out of anything we used to get. Granted, you can't always get exactly what you want but this is different. Much of the time they're completely cleared out and that is in the morning on a weekday when the bakery should be stocked up. Really going downhill. read more

I just moved to the area and have been trying different grocery stores out. Harris teeter has always been my favorite, but this is one of the best AND it's the best grocery store in south Gastonia. I couldn't be happier to have Harris Teeter so close to our home. Driving to Charlotte for a decent selection became tiresome. Bonus points that there is a Starbucks inside. However, the smaller shopping carts are not equipped with a cup holder like their bigger counterpart. Although the smaller shopping carts are preferred by a lot of people, the small carts often seem to not find their way back inside to store. Most of the time I see them being held hostage in the cart return holding area by the piles of bigger carts due to their resentment for our obvious favoritism of the small carts. Yes!!! Harris Teeter is back in Gastonia. It was kinda depressing driving to Charlotte to take advantage of great sales and deals. But I guess it was worth waiting. Plus this store is 24 hours. Highly recommend this store. Staff is very helpful. read more

This is a lovely retail store, well managed, with plenty of helpful, friendly and well-trained staff. Its in-store Starbucks shop is on a par with some of the best around the country -- staffed by a really wonderful team of first-rate baristas. Favorite spot for fresh flowers and gifts. Aisles are spacious and the items are arranged neatly. Can be a little pricey, however they have things on special every week. It's definitely a go to spot for those hard to get items. read more
