I've been meaning to do something that I've neglected for far too long - rate the stores where I work as a driver for my side gigs.
The first store I've decided to review is the Publix on Hoffman Road in Gastonia, North Carolina.
I have to admit, this store runs incredibly smoothly. As a customer who frequents the store daily, I may not know all the internal workings but from an external perspective, it's a well-oiled machine.
One standout employee is Elizabeth in the produce department. She's one of the friendliest and kindest individuals you'll ever meet. Always with a smile on her face, she takes the time to chat and inquire about your day while diligently working.
Jeremy and Q in the deli department are hard workers with infectious smiles. Their positivity is so uplifting that you can't help but smile along with them.
At the self-checkout, Reva and Maddie are always welcoming and ensure you have a pleasant experience. They engage in conversation, making you feel valued and appreciated.
On the floor, there are a few unnamed individuals, but Eric and Jordon stand out. Eric is consistently friendly and engaging, always willing to help and chat with customers.
In the meat department, there's a gentleman primarily in seafood who's genuinely funny and engaging. Although his name escapes me, his efforts to connect with customers and create a positive atmosphere are commendable.
While the store has some flaws and tension, particularly with certain managers creating discomfort among employees, there are shining examples like Anthony. He's a flawless manager who goes above and beyond to ensure customers are happy and satisfied. Also, the Spanish manager, she is absolutely friendly and a breath of fresh air when you see her. Unfortunately, her name escapes me.
Lorraine, the older lady at the self-checkout, is another bright spot with her beautiful spirit and soul.
Despite a few unfriendly employees who put on a fake smile in front of managers, most of the staff at Publix in Gastonia make the shopping experience enjoyable. However, it's essential to address negative attitudes and strive for consistency in customer service. read more
