It's the only grocery in Bessemer City though, so the doors stay open. It's so bad, I've written to corporate to ask them to intervene with improvements. There's certainly room for expansion. Two vacant spaces on the left and right and a huge parking lot never more that 10% filled.

The R.O.'s restaurant closed down early in January after being in business for over 50 years. Ben was driving so he dropped me off in the front of the store and I went right in. I asked 2 people who worked there where it was and they had no clue what I was talking about. There was a lady customer who overheard me and pointed me to the back of the store where it was located. They had the 32 ounce and 16 ounce sizes and I got the larger size. I'e grown up eating this and living in Fort Mill, the closest was Gastonia. Now that they have gone out of business, I'm not sure how I'm going to replenish my supply. I've only been inside one other Ingles and that was the one in Lake Lure, NC and this was much larger. It was very crowded on a Saturday and lot's of people getting their Starbucks. It was $8.48 which I thought was a fair price.

Very nice and friendly my daughter loved her "Troll Hair" and getting her face painted. We looked around the whole store. I was not impressed with the selection of gas grills, I did settle on a 3 burner. The toy section was a mess,we walked around and looked at the toys we stopped near the bikes and we were right beside an associate for several minutes and she looked at us several times and never spoke or even acknowledged us. We went to the Easter or "seasonal" isle to get some Easter eggs. It was disastrous and highly unorganized. You could not tell the prices of anything. We also looked through the clothing department for kids and was only spoken too by the associate after I was telling my daughter to stay by my side because people were crazy. (In regards to strangers approaching kids in our area) She had many times to acknowledge us. We then had to head all the way across the store because the Easter candy is in a completely different section of the store instead of with the Easter items. Since I was buying a grill we went to check out in the Home and Garden Dept. When we first got in line there were 2 cashiers and I was unable to get the grill and the gentleman that checked me out said he would get a buggy and get the grill for me, however by the time we were finished and I paid the other cashier had left and there was a huge line behind me. I went and found a buggy and got the grill down myself. I am not that tall and the grill was up fairly high and for a female it was not that easy to get. We left the store and the gentleman that checked me out was apologetic about not helping but I told him not to worry about it, it was fine. The ladies that did my daughters face painting spoke as we walked out and the guy at the entrance of the garden center spoke and said thank you and gave us a huge smile. I wish I knew there names. I truly appreciate kind and helpful associates. It can make or break your whole shopping experience. I have this 3 stars due to the disarray of the store, the selection of gas grills and the employees that we were very close to that did not even attempt to speak.

Almost always the price at the register is never rolled back like the price on the shelf. You should get the Walmart app to verify all prices! You have to go to customer service in order to get the rollback price. No one else will help you. (i ask the attendant at customer service does this happen on a regular basis and she said YES!!) THEY HOPE YOUR MEMORY DOES NOT SERVE YOU WELL!

This Food Lion is the closest one to our house, so we frequent the store a lot. Sometimes they are…read moreout of some basic things (say "Snow" or "Storm" and it gets ransacked) However for a regular day, so easy, and so friendly. Wanda, the store Manager knows my husband on sight, remembers our names, and engages in polite conversation whenever either of us are shopping there. A huge part of the retail world is making connections, it feels really good to have someone, anyone at a big store like that, to remember us whenever we come in. I recently lost my mother, it was a huge shock, and unexpected, and Wendy sent her heart felt condolences for our family. The only reason I did not light up that last star is because when the store started doing the online ordering, or order pick up, the shelves become sparse, due to the orders being picked off of the shelves of the store and not from the back, ordering in food to be able to keep stock on the shelves. This is not only this chain, it is any store that does the grocery or order pickup. Aside from that one thing, we love our food lion, and they have customers for as long as they want us. -Oh, and give Wanda a raise she's the BEST!!!!
