I had to stop in on a Saturday morning to see what was going on. Not that much really as it's early in the growing season. I did however stop by the tent with the 'Master Gardner' advice sign. I asked about separating a Dianthus plant in a pot and got some good guidance and it was all 'free'! Thank you Ladies!

We purchased some of the most juicy and flavorful blackberries I have had in a long long time. We purchased peaches, Japanese eggplant, zucchini, and squash. Everything looks very healthy and clean. The prices are reasonable. I can't wait to make a ratatouille with these beautiful vegetables. I think I'll grill the peaches. I would have given this five stars if the woman at the cash register had been a little friendly.

With a glass front and all the Precor machines lined up looks like nutcrackers skiing down mountains. Really makes me feel good going in for lunch. I give them a thumbs up. I prefer running outside. I do not feel bad. That's the point though. Anyway, enough of me day dreaming about your pastries and your high quality chocolate yummy pies. I would call that a duchess pie. 10/10 - One of My Favorite Farmers Markets!…read more I stopped by the Kings Drive Farmers Market on a Saturday around 9:30-10:00 a.m., and it was definitely busy! If you're planning to go, I'd recommend getting there as close to opening (around 7:00 a.m.) as possible to beat the crowds. Even with the number of people, everything was very well organized. They had someone directing parking, and the checkout line moved quickly. The vendors were friendly, and the overall experience was smooth. The selection was amazing. They had fresh fruits and vegetables, beautiful flowers, local honey, homemade jams, apple butter (I brought home a jar!), fresh baked goods, and even fresh meat from a local vendor. I also grabbed a mini pecan pie, and it was delicious! The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the freshness and quality. One thing to know is that this market isn't as spread out as some of the larger farmers markets, so it can feel crowded once it gets busy. Even so, it never felt disorganized, and the vendors were well stocked with plenty of products. I've always loved the Kings Drive Farmers Market, and this visit reminded me why. It's been a while since I'd been, but I'll definitely be going back more often. Whether you're shopping for your weekly produce, looking for local products, or just want to walk around and support local vendors, it's absolutely worth the trip. 10/10 recommend! Just do yourself a favor and go early.
