I visited this store on Friday May 10, 2024 as a vendor activating a large promotion outside. I went inside to meet the store manager. She was conversing with the Pharmacist, but quickly acknowledged me and was ready to help. Overall, I felt completely welcomed inside this store. The store manager said that the Deli manager would take care of any needs that my team may have. What she failed to tell me is that the deli manager would be just as professional and courteous as her. The Deli manager's name is Amberstar and she is definitely a star shinning bright. Periodically, the store manager and the deli manager popped out to ensure that things were running smoothly. I appreciate the level of service that we received while at this location. So! I usually won't review grocery stores because we go here all the time, but I must say this list was particularly entralling for me. I was having a bad day, and as I was being checked out, the cashier, Jupiter made sure to ask about my day and make engaging conversation with me, and it really made me feel a little better so if at all possible id like to thank him. Though I occasionally "venture" out to this store, the last time I went, there were Zero shopping carts ... I had to use the little baskets. I noticed that there were several "wine sales" delivery people using the shopping carts while stocking their bottles of wine. Because I only had a basket to use, my trip was short and I didn't get half of what I wanted!! Harris Teeter is my go to grocery store as they carry a lot of the things I like and if you catch them at the right time, you can get better deals than other places - especially meats. This is the location I frequent the most, but also go to two in Fort Mill depending on where I am also going to. I wouldn't say this is my favorite location because of the layout, but I'm mainly writing this review for my recent visit to the pharmacy. Our dog unfortunately has been on medications for almost a year now that add up at our vet's office. Our vet actually recommended we try to go to our pharmacy as it could be cheaper. Well CVS was much more expensive and our vet then gave us this coupon card to try to use. I went to the coupons website and they had estimated costs which were cheapest at Harris Teeter and Publix. I printed out the estimated costs and went to Harris Teeter first. Before I gave over the prescriptions from the vet, I asked the pharmacist if they accepted these coupons. He said yes, so I had them filled. When I was done shopping, I came back to pick up the meds. He asked me if his total sounded right, and I said it seems like it was around $40 too high from the website. He compared the costs and we found one of the medicines had come up much more than the estimate. So he put in the code from the estimate rather than the card I had and sure enough, the price dropped. It was nice that this pharmacist gave me his time and looked into getting me the best value for the meds our dog needs. read more

With the out-of-town supermarket opened next door, this Teeter hasn't needed to step up its game by much to stay clean, bright and relevant. This is a busy market area with those folks and the "red circle" people on the other corner, so the competition is rather fierce. Lots of beer coolers, a really good wine section, top notch produce, excellent butcher and fish counter. The shelves are well stocked, the shopping carts all have working wheels. What's not to love? And speaking of love, the pharmacy here is excellent. There's something awesome when they remember your name. read more

We purchased some tuna steaks for tonight's dinner at the Harris Teeter in Steelecroft. While they were seared perfectly and tasted delicious, they had a lot of gristle. I've never seen gristle in tuna. They were nearly inedible - at $18.99 a pound! We will not be purchasing them here again. Please see pictures. read more

This is my go to Teeter. We've spent thousands here. It's still standing after Publix came in across the street. Earth fare will soon bookend HT. My biggest gripe with this place is the Gluten Free organization. My wife was diagnosed celiac 7 years ago. With education on the subject, more and more product are hitting the market. The problem is the lack of a GF section. Products are scattered everywhere and not clearly marked. There's a small section near the pharmacy but more products are stored all over the store, from beer to pizzas, sauces etc. I think more products would be bought if it wasn't like a scavenger hunt to find them. read more

This Harris Teeter is a just a hop, skip, and a jump from my house. It's so close in fact I like to walk here just pick-up various tidbits instead of keeping a full fridge or packed pantry. Only Schwan's makes it easier for me to shop: although you can order ahead to this location and pick it up at their convenient grocery drive-thru (for a cost). I generally like all Harris Teeter grocery stores. Their prices are decent and the VIC card savings are better than most competitors. The real challenge I have with this location is more aesthetics than anything else. I am not sure who designed this particular store, because nothing seems to be laid out quite right. The most glaring example of poor layout is where they have the Pharmacy. It is located smack dab in the middle of the store along an aisle with the signage facing away from the entrance to the store. If you weren't looking for the pharmacy I guarantee you you'd walk right by it. I did. In point of fact until I went looking for a blood pressure machine that was advertised as being onsite I had missed the pharmacy at least on a score of visits. The Pharmacy isn't the only poorly positioned feature at the store. They actually have a Starbucks in-house. You wouldn't know it though. They do have a sign outside the store, but when you enter through the main doors you have to take a hard right, pass through a portion of the deli and flower shop before taking another right turn just to see the Starbucks sign. Then you'll find it. Not convenient at all. Must have been an afterthought. Other oddities include where certain products are located. They have your organic pre-made frozen breads in a freezer in the bakery area instead of the freezer section like most stores; the beer and wine are all the way in the back right corner after you pass through the fruits and veggies section; the gluten-free necessities are located inside the pharmacy area with some other diet restrictive items located towards the front near the self-checkout and the Melon Bar: Didn't even know that was there. It's in the front, but tucked behind several displays. The freezer section is also in an unusual place. It is bunched together in the front right hand side of the store: complete opposite side of the store from the frozen organic breads as I mentioned. I know it sounds like knit-picking, but layout is a big deal. One of the more interesting layout challenges actually involves their spice section located in a middle aisle of the store. Would you believe that you may pay more for a spice from the spice section than for the same spice in their international foods section. In other words, it behooves you to look for spices by their country of origin as opposed to by the general spice section of the store. Turmeric, an Indian Spice that works wonderfully on everything is more expensive in the spice aisle than the Indian food section. In fact, you can get a larger bottle in the ethnic section at half the price. Amazing. Spices aren't the only items that have varying prices in the main store versus the international foods sections. Several salsas, noodles, and sauces are much cheaper in their international area. You'll save if you're observant. Aside from aesthetics, I like the team at the store. I've had several (5) challenges with being miss charged and having to visit the biz center for refunds, but everybody was nice and the problems were solved in short order. I also love the self-checkout. It cuts back on long wait times and the coupon kings. Finally, I'll note that they do have a decent beer selection...just not as good as the selections in Ft. Mill or Tega Cay. read more

I have always loved Harris Teeter. I often get hoagies for lunch. Yesterday Nov 26th I got 4 hoagies to feed my grandkids dinner. The bread was like a baseball bat, literally they had to take meat out and eat only that. The bread was hard as a rock. I just paid $24 for what I thought was 2.5lbs of lamb. It turns out 1/2 of it is fat. So, I just paid $24 for 1lb and 6ounces. Mind you, 16 ounces is a pound, so that's not even a pound and 1/2, it's a pound and 6 ounces. Wow. I am so mad, I will probably just never come back to a Harris Teeter. You know what you're doing! Horrible. Here is proof. I will buy my meats from Peach Tree and Saltwater markets from now on. At least they're honest and much better quality meats. DO NOT BUY YOUR LAMB HERE. RIP OFF! Now I have to drive 25 minutes back there to show these pictures and get my money back for the other leg of lamb I got. So frustrating!! Should not be more than 1/4" of fat left on any meats!! Our go to place for grocery shopping when in NC. Clean, well stocked, friendly staff. They have a lot of prepared foods as well as the standard grocery items. Prices may be a bit higher than other nearby stores, but if you have their card, you can save a lot of money. read more

An absolutely Splendid shopping experience awaits you at this Harris Teeter. I simply love the wine selection cheese in the deli with Boar's Head products. I stop occasionally to check the asian bar as they have a wonderful array full lunch time eating to include jalapeno chicken Oriental meatballs and of course my favorite General Tso's chicken. Today's favorite, white chocolate cranberry bread with a bit of cream cheese and a bottle of wine, absolutely marvelous. read more

Good old Teeter. Even on the busiest of grocery shopping days, they are always well staffed and stocked. I have been several times in the last few days buying items for Turkey Day. While the lines may be 2-3 people deep at the check-out cashiers, self checkout has been quick and easy. No need to stand and wait when I only have a few items. The store is also always clean and the staff always says hello. Great specials and deals on items for the holidays. Love the Vic Saver emails. I should also mention that for a grocery store, they have a decent guilt free wine selection. read more

Charley the store manager was very rude. I went up there this morning to get a rug doctor. Purchase the cleaner and the upholstery cleaner. Got home the cleaner wouldn't dispense the cleaning solution. So I ending up taking the rugdoctor back. Charley wouldn't give me my full refund for the carpet cleaner and the cleaning solution. He told me it was a waste of time for me to contact corp Harris teeter I need to contact rug doctor. I told him I didn't get the rug doctor from rug doctor I got it from his store. What pissed me off the most is that for three years I have been shopping at his store. And for him to treat me like some bum off the street was very troublesome to me. This store is on par with the rest of the HT chain, so it's clean and all that jazz... The carts are in pretty good condition, so if you find one with a wobbly wheel, there's a chance you can pick another one around it and end up with a winner... The only thing that is less than awesome is going to do a coupon special (Super Double or Triple) on any other day than the Wednesday it starts... Seriously, if you're looking for something in particular, you'd better take the day off work or head to another store... For some reason, this one is out of the majority of products well before any of the other stores in the area... I guess they've just got a large clientele and not enough items to last... It's not bad, but it could be better... On the upside, though, they do offer rain checks, but let's face it... Who remembers to use those? lol read more

I live less than a mile from this location, and Steelcroft has been "my Harris Teeter" for the past 4+ years. This large store recently underwent an impressive makeover to rival the Morrison Road "Taj-Ma" Teeter & Cotswold Teeter locations. We now have many of their same upgrades, including a substantial salad & hot food bar, considerable deli/bakery, and expanded produce department. However, the addition of the Starbucks to this location has put temptation right at my back door! After only two visits, I have been completely sucked in and caught up thanks to Alyssa & Carol's magical ability to take my "not-on-the menu custom" latte request and convert it to the absolute BEST frappuccino laced with extra whipped cream, topped with a caramel + chocolate drizzle, and sprinkled with vanilla sugar! Sooo YUM and sooo DELISH!! Before I could exit the cafe, another customer inquired what I had and wanted to know if they would create the same for her. Carol was one of my favs when she worked in customer service prior to the store's facelift. And, Alyssa is my new favorite awesome and supremely talented barista, who's not afraid to strut her exceptional skills. These two are so terrific and accommodating, you may find me looking for them with a flashlight in the daylight! Kudos and atta girls to Olympia and Kemica for good (comedic) conversation, helpful suggestions, and for giving overall excellent customer service each and every time! A great place to shop but when they stopped being open 24 hours a day I was and still am very disappointed in them. I love there deli area since they can make you a sub any way you like it and have subs on great deals too. Make sure to sign up for an MVP rewards card with them since if you use it to buy 12 subs then your 13th one will be free too. read more

The store is clean and the employees are very nice. I come here mostly for hard to find items, seafood, and their beer selection. Parking can be a pain sometimes since it's located in a strip mall, but it's not the worst. Prices might be a little high, but they make up for it in customer service, selection, and appearance. read more

What I like most about the location of this store is that its so close to everything, there's a Super Target, Bilo and CVS all in the same general area! So, its a little farther from my home but well worth the trip. Every time I've been here the store is clean and there are associates to help when you need, today I visited the deli and it was great service, the associate let me sample the different meats and cheeses and ensured that the cuts were just right. What I also liked was all the different prepared meal bars, there was a pizza station, a lunch station that today was serving Chinese they had egg rolls, fried rice, lo mein, several different meat selections and vegetables, a made to order sushi station as well as a made to order sandwich station! Cashier, Ashley was rude and when I asked for a manager she would not call one over but pointed where she could be located. Went to the manager and spoke with her about what happened, not only did she roll her eyes at me, she would not give me the information for corporate. Once Ashley realized I was reading her name tag, she then began to apologize. This location is usually great but I'll definitely be taking my business across the street to publix or earth fare. Store manager Andy is not fit to run a popsicle stand. He is very rude, angry and disrespectful. He is always confrontational with customers. He needs anger management before he, a customer he is consumed with confronting or one of the employees gets seriously hurt. He continues to think he can verbally attack customers unprovoked but when you have bitter uneducated trash that is apart of the GOOD OLE BOYS AND GIRL'S NETWORK within H.T and a district or area manager LeAnn that refuses to address the way customers are treated this is what happens. You can say no all day long its how you say no. Policy is great but talking to paying customers that. respectfullyvhave the audacity to speak up for themselves like they are garbage is unacceptable. I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE this harris teeter from the beginning to the end. Im always greeted by this young man that works with the veggies. Hes always pleasant, and helpful when you have no clue! I enjoy the courteousy of DESSIE,KRISSY,LACRICA, and most of all LIZ in the bakery!!! I have not had any complaints on the cakes I get made from Liz. I finally got to put a name with a face. I enjoyed seeing the warm hearted lady that bakes the cakes for every occasion I have. I just wanted to thank God for allowing Liz to take the time and listen to my story. I was having a bad day due to fathers day!! I began conversing with Liz, and expressing to her about my family that were murdered right before my eyes! It was just an bitter sweet moment.
