This location is my go to. Today I was assisted by a Very polite young man in the self checkout area. I had to leave my buggy to run to restroom and he was so polite and watched my item. His kindness meant alot to me. Not sure of his name but it was 07.17.2026 @9:20 am. Thanks so much read more

A great shopping experience, far beyond local chains. They are super well-stocked and have an active deli section that makes sandwiches on order as well as selling meats and cheeses. Also, they maintain a hot line for to-go meals ready to eat and their deli fried section offers by the piece fried chicken, chicken tenders, shrimp and other items, hot and ready to take home, or eat in your car. My wife prefers Publix saying, "I go to local stores for convenience, but go to Publix for customer service." Amen to that read more

Food was hot and ready, desserts piled high, with friendly staff. Gracyn (sorry if I spelled it wrong) was respectful, carried on a great conversation while bagging, and even returned our cart. Great experience on a Saturday morning. read more

Clean facilities, friendly staff. I didnt even know this one was here. Close to the highway. Suprises me heavily. I should visit south Carolina more often. No matter how bummy i look nobody says shit. Which is great cause after work i look pretty suspicious. read more

I don't ever write a critical review. This is about catering ONLY. My husband and I ordered sandwiches a few weeks ago and I added extra cheese and bacon onto my wrap. When I received it, it was not the size of the last wrap I had - smaller -- also there was no extra cheese or bacon at all on the wrap; however, we were charged for it. We've ordered before and this is first disappointing time. This Publix is always very clean, the fresh fish has always been very good and all the meats and Thanksgiving turkeys have always been wonderful. Bakery and fruit/vegetables never disappoint either. This review is not for the actual store. read more

Came back today and employees were so rude. No hello, no thank you. The bagger was rude as hell making comments under her breath about bagging and wouldn't even make eye contact when I asked a question. Just muttering. This place sucks. Nothing like just trying to buy 16 items to make you feel like sh*t for no reason. This is why I go to Walmart, no attitudes and even if I do get one at least my sh*t is cheap. read more

if i could give zero stars for customer service i would. I called a question and then transferred to the wrong department. I absolutely love Publix on Gold Hill! Exemplary customer service, especially from the Pharmacy department staff! Tammy the manager of the Pharmacy department always made me feel safe and secure with the information she provided concerning my prescriptions to include the vaccines. She always has a smiling face and encouraging words! I will definitely miss her being full-time. The cashiers and baggers at Publix on Gold Hill are always very helpful, courteous, friendly and welcoming when they see you. I love this Publix branch. read more

During rush hours the deli can be chaotic and behind schedule and at times seems to be understaffed. I waited in line for 30 minutes past my pickup time before my order was completed. To their credit, the customer service desk was more than happy to refund me for my time. read more

It's no secret why Publix has moved into this area and quickly established themselves. They have great customer service. Everyone smiles, asks if they can assist and are genuinely helpful. They have a great selection of quality products, many are there own brands. I especially like their deli. They always have a selection of grilled wings and other grilled chicken options. They always have fresh pies, their Key Lime pie is exceptional and they have two sizes. They have various types of cheese cake as well. Their prices are very competitive and they do offer specials. You don't have to be a 'member' to obtain their lowest prices. The store is always clean and well stocked. The check is always a good experience, 90% of the time they have a cashier and a bagger and if needed they will assist taking your groceries out to your vehicle. read more

Roxy from customer service has a nasty attitude. Lines down the aisle and she's at customer service desk doing nothing to better customer experience and initially refused to assist until o refused to go stand in line down the Aisle with 4 items ! Very rude! She shouldn't be the face of customer service read more

Terrible customer service at customer service desk on a return today. Employee was super Rude, unprofessional, combative and argumentative. I had track down a manager to let her know the CS employee was way out of her lane. All of this in front of my 10 year old. Won't be back. Way too many grocery stores to choose from in Ft Mill. Shame on Publix. read more

I love Publix. Having lived in South Florida for a decade, they were the "go to" shopping experience. Friendly service, great selection, reasonable prices. And now they've come to the Greater Charlotte area, bringing their excellent products with them. Here's something different. They don't have the usual cart corrals out in the parking area that annoyingly take up an otherwise perfect parking spot. They've put the corral into the concrete with a single lane. It's not as large as the ones you'll find at Wal-Mart or Bi-Lo or Teeter, but I think it's classier. This store, as they all do, has a superior produce section and their frozen aisles seem to go on for miles and miles. read more

I typically go a bit farther than my Harris Teeter to this Publix. 90% of the employees go above and beyond with a smile on their face! Shout out to Grandma Publix and the seafood man especially! It is always clean. If I order a sub online, it is correct. I've had a few minor mishaps with having to return bad seafood or an expired product I didn't realize when buying. It is so helpful to a Mama when they will help unload your cart at your car and then take the cart. Sometimes I go just for the reason I need that little bit of help with two young ones. read more

I'm overall happy with Publix. Loved their bakeries and crazy about their subs. I get excited when I see their selections in their veggies section.. So much option and very fresh.. The butchers are great and a few seafood options. I do notice their prices are higher than Bi Lo.. I don't really shop at Harris Teeter so I can't say if they are higher or lower. The downsize is they don't have store value card, point cards etc.. I hope they have something else that can help us save more. Meanwhile since my favorite Bi Lo is closing. I switch between Super Target and Publix. read more

A super grocery store and the best in the Tega Cay area! I started going to this location about a year ago, after I grew tired of the numerous shortcomings of my local HT store and I can honestly say that Publix earns my business every time. Clean parking lot, a modern and bright store interior, smiling and attentive staff and a clear desire to deliver a great customer experience. This is how it's done! read more

Be careful of your special order cakes! I ordered a standard design they offer, 10 days prior to my baby's first birthday. The decorator took zero effort to make this cake special or pretty. There are so many flaws! And, let's not even talk about Heidi in the floral department, and her terrible attitude. I've had several negative encounters with her, as I frequently go to Publix for my balloons and flowers, for all kinds of special days and celebrations. I will NOT trust Publix to make my special event cakes. And I can easily go to another store for my flowers and balloons where customer service is priority! read more

Sign #1 that I am getting older. I have a favorite grocery store. Yes...I have shopped many...Randall's, HEB, Super Wal-Mart & Target, Harris Teeter, Food Lion, Bloom (RIP), Bi-Lo, Fiesta, Safeway, Giant, Whole Foods, Central Market, Trader Joes, Sunflower. The list keeps going. All make me pine for Publix. Now we in the Charlotte area have a NEW, BIG, BEAUTIFUL Publix to enjoy. For those not familiar with the beauty of Publix let me wow you: 1. Double Coupons up to 50 cents everyday. 2. Free help to your car with your bags...they will never take tips. 3. Amazing deli sandwiches and Bakery. Seriously...ahhhmahhhzing. 4. Best selection of delicious store made sides ever. Try the southern potato salad. Better than my mom's....almost. 5. Seafood department to rival the coast. 6. A store that you enjoy being in- No flies, not sticky spots on the floor, no burned out lights, no broken carts. 7. FRIENDLY PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know that they are not as cheap as Wal-Mart but they also seem to care about the people who shop at their store and the people who work there. I live 25 miles away and have already been twice. Harris Teeter has really let their stores go and now with Whole Foods and Publix moving in I hope that they step up their game. Can't wait for them to take over Charlotte. May the best store win! read more

I am visiting here from the San Francisco Bay Area where I have lived for almost fifty years. The employees take customer service seriously like no others I've seen. They almost beg you to take your groceries to your car to unload them. Employees in the aisles and those stocking products actually look you in the eyes and speak to you. I guess living in California is like living in a bubble, because in all my years, I have NEVER had customer service like this in ANY grocery store where I've lived out West. Because I am considering moving here, I'm checking out everything and this has been one pleasant surprise. Of course, gas prices at $2.39 a gallon, is also another consideration!! read more

I like the lotto tickets and deli at this location, but the young lady at the customer service station is very rude. This is the second time I've gone there and she had a nasty attitude. I approached the circulation desk with two items and she was not the one checking people out but she was standing nearby and said "you can go to register 1 to check out". No greeting and she just assumed the purpose for the visit. I needed money services and that's why I was going to the customer service desk. I'd rather take my business elsewhere. read more

Usually I have no problem with this Publix, but today is the second to time my online order has been wrong. I ordered a flatbread and sub sandwich online, the flatbread was correct but not the sub. I did not eat the sub until hours after I left publix today, so it was too late to take it back. I ordered a chicken tender sub and received a roast beef sub. The only silver lining is, i like roast beef as well. I will not order online again. read more

My daughter's first birthday party just passed, and I can't say enough good things about my experience start to finish with the bakery and event planning team at the Gold Hill Publix. I honestly had no idea a grocery store had event planning services, but my girl Kimberly helped me through the entire process. This included pricing, suggestions for catered food based on my party size and taking my pinterest ideas and making them come to life. She followed up several times with me between when I placed my initial order up to the day before delivery....oh did I mention that because my order was over $150 total that they delivered? Any Mom planning a party knows there are a lot of balls in the air and this took one more thing off my plate. The one negative - they don't take tips! And seriously they deserved it. read more

Terrible customer service! After basically being accused of stealing my catering order I still told my bagger thank you after checking out and received absolutely NO RESPONSE! I had many options as far as catering in the fort mill area and chose to spend $200 here at publix.. will not be making that mistake again!!!! read more

I used to shop at Publix in Florida and always liked it. Staff seemed pretty happy. Multiple times up here I've heard the 'managers' talk abusively to their workers, loudly insult them to other employees, and comment on womens bodies. Gross and unprofessional. Everyone I know who has gotten a job at these Publix in Carolina have regretted it severely, treated like sweatshop cattle, no benefits, and get 'full-time' dangled like a carrot indefinitely. Abusive company, don't work there, don't shop there. read more

2nd time buying Publix deli wings. Had to return them again due to feathers attached to baked wings.

This Publix location needs to do something about the deli/sandwich area. I dread having to go there. They have so many people behind the counter and some are standing around it seems. The wait is always so long. I went in for a sandwich and waited about 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged I was standing there even though Adam was standing right at the counter. He looked right at me and eventually just walked away and left the area without saying a word or asking if I needed anything. I love Publix and come here often but the deli/sandwich area needs help. read more

Publix always has what I want. And likely they have everything I don't even know I want. I stop at this location quite often. They have a great setup and an amazing selection. They never fail to fill my cart and that's always a good thing. My challenge with this particular store is with customer service. I'm not sure why, but every time I go they seem to have to few people at checkout. I just popped in to pick up 4 items. It took me 30 secs to park and less than 2 minutes to find my ginger ale, bag of chips and Pace Picante Salsa. Then I headed to the front to checkout and that's where the drama always begins. Two lines were opened when I reached checkout. Both lines had folks lined up and as it happens everybody had full carts. Ugh! I saw a team member standing in another lane but it wasn't opened. I asked him if he could take me since I only had 4 items and he directed me to the much longer lines. Fine. I went and stood there patiently. Then, less than 2 minutes later he walked to the 3 patrons in line behind me and told them he was opened and could take them. What what? I guess I was invisible. Must be the only reason I was passed over. I bit my tongue and waited for the ladies in front of me to finish. Oh wait? PRICE CHECK! Delay, delay. COUPONS....delay, delay. Meanwhile the newly opened line was moving at WARP 9. Captain Picard was at the helm and he was scanning items so fast all I saw was a blur. 3 people checked out, then 4! I'm in grocery Hell. I looked up and finally I moved up and the scanning began....scan 1,2,3,4! Done. Took longer for me to write the word "Scan" than it took to check to me out. I am a crazy person for good customer experiences. Today, Publix was an epic fail. I'm just beyond myself that I wasn't asked to come to the new line since I initiated it's beginning. Please work on your customer experience. Until then...I'm on hiatus. read more

I know it's only a grocery store, but it's so much more. When we weighed the pros and cons of moving from Miami to Charlotte, we didn't consider that we would no longer have a Publix to shop at. Big mistake. We were surprised to see the lack of customer service at the Harris teeter stores, and their strange practices. How do you open a store at 7 AM , but not open your deli until 9? But I've already reviewed ht, this is about Publix. A bakery that actually bakes. Need something special? No problem. Love the deli subs, on fresh baked bread. The meat department has trained butchers, willing to cut anything you want. Service service service. No store like it! read more

Another visit to the deli & they continue to have major communication problems. We ordered 2 small orders over an hour before we picked up @ the deli counter...the lady there claimed our order was still in the oven and we would have to wait. Several minutes later I noticed she opened the door where completed orders are stored awaiting pick up, apparently she never checked there in the 1st place. We were on lunch that's why we called so we would not have to wait. Then we got salads off of the salad bar there were empty containers of a variety of dressings AND they ran out of 2go containers for the few bottles that were not empty...again when I asked the lady gave me 4 containers and said "we dont have lids"....GET IT TOGETHER PEOPLE, PLEASE. This never happens at the publix in Ballantyne. Maybe a few of the deli workers need to go over there for training. read more

I was visiting friends in the area last weekend and wanted to get a dessert to go with dinner, so my friend brought me to Publix. I've heard of it, but being from the Northeast I was never able to go to one. After seeing that bakery and literally having my friend say "that's enough sweets!" I think its a good thing they don't have them here! The selection was fantastic, not just in the bakery but in the entire store and the prices were fantastic as well. Customer service was excellent, maybe its the South, but everyone was so friendly. I didn't check out very much of the grocery section, but the store itself was neat and clean, well stocked and another reason for me to want to move to the South! that and the pecan coconut cookies I bought in the bakery that I'm not sure I can ever re-create, but I'm planning on trying!! read more

We shop at most all stores to find the best prices, a friend of mine drove down from Newton and we came all the way down from Charlotte to see what all the media blitz was about, expecting great things. Let me tell you it was a waste of time and gas, on many items they had higher prices then my local Food Lion, Sadly we were not impressed at all the store was clean the employees were great but the prices in a region where the gas prices are lower then in Charlotte by at least $.30 per gallon, I was shocked the prices were so high. The all natural mint soap we got, not so all natural more glycerin then mint. The publix dog biscuits not such a hit with the pups. The white seedless grapes were awesome. Watching what I spent still spent $18 and only left with 2 bags, not the kind of bargain I am used to. I seriously doubt I will ever go back, they really need to step up their game with these high prices, this was a total waste of time. Ohhhh since moving to Charlotte I so miss a good grocery store. A friend had looked up publix and told me this one was just south of my location. These stores have EVERYTHING you need. The prices are fairer than what I am finding in Charlotte the city. So for me it is wort the drive to SC to get my groceries. For the guy that is having a hard time eating they have pre-made meals, hot meals to go ad even an area were you can by all the pieces to the meal of the day. So for me it works. When they build the store here in Charlotte they are going to pretty much do in some of the other locals. read more
