I'm really pleased this location is back open! I was so disappointed when they closed shortly after COVID last year. They have a great selection of healthy & organic foods. I especially like their fresh seafood and their frozen crawfish. I have a recipe for Seafood Gumbo and its just not the same without the crawfish. The staff here is always nice and friendly as well. They have a great selection of prepared foods and a nice selection of deli products. There is also a few tables near the deli where you can eat in and enjoy a cup of coffee. read more

We shop here somewhat regularly because it's one of the few places to get organic options in Rock Hill, but the quality is pretty hit or miss. Mainly a lot of miss. We find expired products nearly every time we are shopping (check the dates!!), expired sale signs, and very few employees to help. We've had to return moldy items from the produce section and were given a hard time about it despite having a receipt. We will continue to shop here for the OG items, supplements, etc, but it wouldn't be our first choice if we had other options. read more

I also purchase the majority of our meat here as it's better quality than all other local grocery stores. We have purchased some items that are out of date by a few days by mistake, but the store associates always make it right when we return the items. So happy to see they re-opened. Very friendly staff. And their selection on things is stuff you just cannot find in the regular grocery. For example - their beer selection.. EXCELLENT!! The real "stars of the show" are their meat and deli departments. I love their meat department. Great selection, the crew willing to do exactly what you need on a cut, size, etc. The deli department has a great selection of pre-made foods. We have not had their lunch meat before. High end grocery store similar to Whole Foods. Great selection of organic and healthy food options, even if a bit high priced. What really makes the store for me are the meat and beer sections. They have a great selection of local, regional, and import beers that are well stocked and fairly fresh. I am a huge fan of Earth Fare . I've moved here from South Florida and I miss Whole Foods. But earth fare is exactly what I needed in my life. I find that there are a lot of similar items and the atmosphere is very similar. I'll specifically love when I get a coupon from them saving anywhere from $10 off of $50 purchase or a huge savings on items I would have bought anyway. There are some coconut chicken fingers in the frozen food section that I absolutely love. Definitely have not been disappointed in any of the locations I have visited. Ultra clean bathrooms! I don't know what people think about this, but I had no plans of coming in here today, but I found myself in need of a potty... QUICKLY! I stopped in here because their bathrooms are exceptionally clean, and the place I am headed has no bathroom open for the public. So the long and short of it is that they will be making an extra sale today that wouldn't have happened unless I knew the bathrooms were clean! I love this place!!! I really wanted to love earth fare. I did get a few Good items but they are a little over priced. Produce wasn't as fresh as it should be and the deli counter closed its slicer REALLY early. It was kinda a disappointment. I get it they're not a Whole Foods but still they could... maybe make it all look a little more appealing or something. The fruit we did buy was not the best. We didn't eat it. The fresh salsa was good. Couldn't try anything from the deli...because of the obvious, they pre close really early. Meats looked good but we didn't buy much else. If only it were bigger.....that is my ONLY issue with this store. Otherwise, I am so glad to see this place in my neighborhood! They have a decent hot food bar and a separate soup bar that looks very yummy. Their hot bar can't compare to Whole Foods' hot food bar (hint - fried tofu rocks!!). This Earth Fare has everything its other locations has, but it's just a bit smaller, tight fitting than the ones I'm accustomed to shopping at. Although their prices can be a little high, I still love Earthfare. I love their Wednesday special! 1 protein and 2 sides for $6. It's an additional $1 for the salmon but oh so worth it. I go every Wednesday for either lunch or dinner. It's usually enough food for 2 meals. They have the best selection of vegan and vegetarian frozen fake meats. And don't get me started on their cheese selections. OMG!!! Yes, I'm drooling just think about it. They always have the organic/natural items I need that I can't find elsewhere. Bathrooms are always clean and everyone is always friendly besides the one guy in the deli. I figure he just isn't a happy person, but I still try to always ask him how he's doing in hopes that I'll eventually I'll get him to crack. Can't let one unhappy person ruin my visit. P.S. When EF in Rock Hill closed the first time with the bankruptcy, I was devastated! Not many stores had a good selection of organic clean ingredient foods to choose from. When EF Rock Hill was one of the stores to reopen, I was elated! For a while the local store was doing pretty well with customer service and its offerings to the community. However, EF Rock Hill has been in a slow decline... probably moving toward a second self-inflicted closing!!! Lately the weekly sales ads come a day late in our email... as do the "this day only" discount coupons! For Thanksgiving (and presumably Christmas) EF has run an extensive ad for holiday meals from EF Kitchen... we placed an order for our Thanksgiving meal to be picked up at the meat department today! When we went to EF Rock Hill to get the cooked boneless turkey breast, the staff acted like we were from Mars and speaking a foreign tongue! First, we were offered a raw uncooked bone-in turkey breast, then a fully cooked turkey breast in shrink wrap that came with reheating directions... hardly a cooked EF kitchen catering item (which would have been an $80 sale). So now we are without a turkey for our Thanksgiving meal tomorrow! Thinking about using EF for a catered holiday meal this year?... DON'T DO IT! Go somewhere, anywhere else! I have always loved the smell of the store. Very pleasant and inviting. Also, Love coming here especially when they have sales! Actually it is the only time I come here. They have great products just a little bit higher in price than I'm willing to pay. If you are an organic freak then this is the place for you. Tons of coffee bean varieties ready to bag and go. They also have several different kinds of nuts for one to mix and match for self made trial mix. I'm reviewing the salad bar/soup bar/sandwich bar/sushi area. The grocery store gets 5 stars from me however the area that I eat lunch at least twice a week, could use a lot of improvements. I want so badly for this to be a place that I frequent more than twice a week and to be honest, the only reason I'm there that much is because I really love soup. I used to frequent their sandwich bar a lot more until they changed the menu. The bread is now made with baguettes and as much as I love a baguette, they're are hard and take a lot of effort to chew. I miss the days of choosing your bread and the ease of telling the person behind the counter what you wanted on your sandwich. Now everything seems to be an up charge. I don't get any sandwiches there now, which is very disappointing. The soup bar is great! They have at least 3-4 soups daily and on Tuesdays they're half off. I would love it if they had a Facebook page or Instagram that posted what their soups were going to be for the week. I'd for sure be in more often if I knew in advance. The salad bar has many options and could be 5 stars if the lettuce didn't look wilted and the items didn't look as if they had been sitting all night and put back out in the morning. It's super disappointing since this is an easy fix. I love the sushi bar. No complaints. On Wednesdays the sushi and $5!! I do wish they would have more deals related to the soup, salad and sandwich bars Like maybe $5 days for half sandwich and soup, which they used to do. I need Earthfare to step up! I called Earth Fare at 6:00 p.m on Sunday to inquire about the closing time of their Deli/Bakery. I was told 8:00 pm. I arrived at Earth Fare on Cherry Road at 7:08 pm and walked to the deli to order a wrap. There were two employees behind the counter. I stood there for 5 minutes. Both employees made eye contact with me at some point, but I had yet to be greeted. I stood there for another 5 minutes. No greeting. No hello. No "We're Closed" or " let me get someone to help you ". I walked away to go speak with a cashier to ask if there was someone who could help me. I was told that the deli "should" still be open. When walking back to the deli a third employee had greeted my G/F , but I had already lost my patience at this point. I left. Poorly trained deli/bakery staff. Had I been told that they were closed, or were about to close, I would have been fine. But to stand there and be Ignored by not 1, but 2 employees... For close to 10 minutes ..That's piss poor customer service. I used to frequent this location when I lived in RH, and I had never experienced anything like this. The level of apathy.... Sushi here is actually good. I'm amazed bc I've tried sushi many times at many grocery stores (whole foods,fresh market) and it's never good bc the rice is always overcooked or not seasoned right. But this place actually tastes good. I also got the vegetarian pizza. Service was very good, I think the manager saw me waiting for pizza and got it for me himself bc worker was busy. These little things really make me happy. Get customers in and out! I took a glance at the hot bar and salad bar. Food looked pretty good (it's small, it's no Whole Foods variety) but just enough. I'm not sure what exactly happened to this once pleasant store, but in the last six months or so Earth Fare has been in a downward spiral. Each time I've visited there in the past half year I have been more and more disappointed with their bad food, horrible store conditions, terrible service and overall apathy when it comes to giving customers what they want. My only guess is that new management or protocol has been thrust upon this once happy and vibrant place, because the old staff seems downtrodden now whereas just last year they were jovial. The formerly lush salad bar is now a just collection of over-priced, near-spoiled produce and the hot bar is but a pile of empty, greasy pans. Seriously, I go in there for lunch and the bar is wiped out. I go in there for dinner and I usually have the same problem. There will be a side, but no main course, or vice versa. You can never get a complete meal, but even if you do it is usually a fatty wad of unrecognizable dark meat or a thin, overcooked flank of cheap fish. And don't even get me started on the rancid items in the deli case. I won't make that mistake again! I am also very tired Earth Fare notifying me of amazing sales on items which they are completely out of when I arrive to buy them. I swear they must falsely advertise these items just to get you in there so you'll buy something else at full price (which is always twice as much as it would be anywhere else) since what you came for is out of stock. Most of what I come for is out of stock too - not just sale items. And the last three times I went there I had to return items that were out of code. If I could get some of the gluten-free goodies I need anywhere else, believe me, I'd be done with this place. I have complained to the manager, who just gives me an insincere smile and an even more insincere apology, and is happy to throw a gift card at me to get me to shut up, but none of the problems are ever rectified. Publix is looking better and better with its natural selections, and it beats Earth Fare with service and prices by a long shot. If Whole Foods moves into town we'll have better food, service and selection. If Trader Joes does, well have better prices and products. As for their bogus "declaration" and behavior overall as a company, please take a look at all the horrible feedback employees have given them on glassdoor.com. Earth Fare's days are numbered, especially if they continue to just phone it in and bring nothing to the customer's table. The butcher at this location is not a happy man! It radiates! Take it easy on that electric scale big guy! I asked for two $5.00 ribeyes! Much to my surprise when I went to check out I was charged for New York strips ant they were $20 bucks! I don't bother seeing if they were the ribeyes or he printed up the wrong price! I transferred from UNCC to Winthrop over a year ago and live in Rock Hill year round and I tell you... I could not LIVE without my local Earth Fare. The staff is extremely friendly and always willing to help. I love that I can eat meat without feeling wracked with guilt or nervous about antibiotics. The recent addition of a juicer has only increased my love for this store and I come in at least three times a week for fresh juice. I also love stopping in the Wellness department to take in their aromatherapy and I am always greeted with smiles! The prices may be a bit higher, but with the fantastic coupons and the higher quality... I say I EASILY split even. I talked to some of the other regulars and they seem to share my sentiment, that Earth Fare serves delicious and nutritious food, while also serving us up a plate of good ol' southern hospitality. I know Earth Fare is supposed to make me "Eat Better" and "Live Longer", but in actuality, Earth Fare is a little food for my soul. Stepping into Earth Fare is like stepping into another world. When I walk through the door, I sigh a breath of relief. The motherland...sigh again...ahhh...I take in the smells and browse and browse. (You might be able to tell I'm not originally from Rock Hill by now) After perusing a nice selection of organic fruits and veggies, I like to pick out some bulk items on my way to the beer and wine area. Great beer selections and some great wines are available. What's this? Sweet! They have a real cheese selection, unlike the Bi-Lo cheese kiosk of tastelessness. The meat selection is also nice and diverse. The deli and food prep area is also nice, and I highly recommend sampling and buying. Thursday nights are kids eat free night. The rest of the store is what you'd expect from a "healthy" store, and the prices tend to match what you'd expect. They have no sense of urgency and don't know much about the food they have available. I do appreciate the people at the meat department and stockers. What happened? The hot bar/salad bar used to be my favorite place for "fast food" They consistently had some great veggie and meat/fish combinations and the food was relatively fresh. Lately I go and everything looks overcooked, dried out and basically unappealing. I feel like like Im staring at 2-3 day leftovers. I rarely find fresh veggie selections anymore. Just the other day I tried some of my favorite veggie rolls that I normally purchase fresh from the deli (and take home) I decided to purchase severa of these rolls, heated, from the hot food bar. They tasted horrendous!!!! There was nothing even fresh or green looking inside of them. They were soooo overcooked - what I bit into was some sort of brown hash. How old were these rolls? I will certainly notify management of my experience - but my last experience with management was disappointing - I wonder if its even worth the effort. For as much as I have come to rely on Earth Fare for providing me with fresh and organic produce, my experiences lately have me questioning their credibility, standards and commitment - I need to take my $ elsewhere!! read more

I love having this store in town. They are slightly overpriced for some of the mainstream items but they have a good selection for healthier snacks. My only gripe are the college aged kids that are so slow in their service and lack of hustle. They attend to talk a lot and it degrades their efficiency especially when there is a long line. I do love their daily $6 deals. I will continue to shop here because this is 1 of 4 stores within the Charlotte region.
