I really have enjoyed Publix representation in Charlotte and surrounding areas. The stores that I frequent are Charlotte near Siskey Y and the Matthews location are clean and the employees are friendly and helpful. This store in Monroe is also the same. They don't have store coupons or loyalty cards/keychains. Any discounts are automatic. By Department The bakery is pretty impressive with cakes, cookies, cupcakes and pies. There are some really delectable items here. Fresh seafood or meat are plentiful and of good quality . I do think they are a bit higher priced than Harris Teeter and haven't really noticed any higher quality. They have about 7-8 souls near the deli. They can have minestrone, chili, chicken noodle , beef pasta. Just a nice variety . And if you'd like to sample - employees will give you a taste cup for a sample. Deli- I've been a Harris Teeter fan since living here so is stick with them. But a eyeball of their meats and cheeses .. they look good and I may delve into this one day. Every visit to Publix I get some staples .. at least staples for me . The stuffed green peppers , the Italian hoagie (both near deli). If you haven't tried a Publix out .. go out and give them a look. You may find some interesting items for your palette. read more
