She read good things and the hours were perfect for us to stop in on a beautiful Saturday morning in August. They are open every Saturday morning, April through December from 8am-12pm. We arrived about 10am and it was very busy. The main parking lot was full and there was a small line of cars trying to find parking spots. We continued on to the overflow parking area closer to the river bank and there was plenty of parking available. We walked up to the location of the market which is a covered area providing shelter from inclement weather and the hot summer sun. The variety of the different booths is diverse. Everything from fresh vegetables, canned salsas, jams and jellies, baked goods, pottery, frozen meat, and fresh flower bouquets. We enjoyed seeing all the various items and ultimately bought a package of six S'mores cookies which were incredibly delicious! It's been quite some time since we've been to a farmers market and this is a great one. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

I purchased a baked good and it was STALE with no expiration date to be found! I didn't notice until I bit into it and it was so dry and stale I thought I must've purchased an expired item. I also purchased some of the premade foods to see if they improved. They definitely did not. The street corn doesn't remotely taste like it should. The chicken salad wasn't good either and at $10 for a small container it's not cheap. I'm really disappointed because this location used to have good premade options but this will be my last time here. Sadly, I still can't recommend this option when there are so many other fresh, fairly priced options.

Register charges $3.99 and they won't make it right. Instead I was told they didn't appreciate me bringing up that fact. I was dismissed and they wouldn't listen to me. Customer server, specifically Natalie, is less than subpar. She was so difficult. Their produce is awful!! Most of it was rotten. You have to pick through it to get something that's not rotten. They have rotten tomatoes, rotten peppers, rotten cukes, moldy strawberries, and the corn is dried out. Heed the warning! Also, WATCH THE PRICES or you will get ripped off!!!!!!!

I think they are a bit more expensive here, maybe because of the location. But service was fast and friendly and I'm looking forward to coming back when I have more time to hang out! @azfitfoodfun

Oh! Happy Day! Granted, this was Labor Day weekend, and I knew the Matthews Alive Festival was going on. I did not want to drag my parents there as I knew it would be too much for them. Well, a few of the vendors had gone there to make more money, and less than 12 were here, it was still worth the trip. Fresh meat, local honey, baked goods, handmade goods, a delight to me. I am so glad I came and have suggested my siblings come when they come to visit our parents. A wonderful thing!

In the 2012 season, there were people that sold produce, baked goods, salsa, BBQ, all kinds of beautiful wooden things, plants, local grassfed beef and occasional other things. On most market days there are also some people from the Charlotte Folk Society strumming and fiddling away, and they are very welcoming if you want to join in. No need to be a virtuoso. This is a great place if you live close by to pick up some goodies for a weekend meal or for an hour of gardening. By the second or third time you come, people will remember you. The choice may not be as big as at the Matthews market, but I love this one just as much. Addendum: There are many locals, especially on the outskirts of Mint Hill, that sell their own produce and eggs by the roadside. If you see a sign, stop and talk to them if someone is outside. I know some that don't even use any kind of pesticide or herbicide - what more can you want?

I love that they have a sugar-free option in their ice cream menu, the only part I would've preferred was that they had more than just that single option (for sugar-free selections). That said I have no complaints, everybody here was very pleasant and welcoming and professional, and the product itself was high quality for sure. I would love to give this place five full stars but I'll hold off until they have a few more sugar-free options for folks. I mean it though it's only the fact that they had just one choice of sugar free ice cream, that is the ONLY downside. But I can tell they're on the way up so the next time I go out there I hope to update this review with a fifth star!! That said, I will say we got two desserts here one was the strawberry shortcake. It tasted absolutely phenomenal, very fresh. I wouldn't be surprised if that was homemade ice cream, and it could've been more than a few hours old shortcake. The second dessert we tried was the peach cobbler with the butter, pecan, sugar-free ice cream, I could not tell that it was sugar-free, some of the best sugar-free ice cream I've ever had, And the dessert itself once again tasted extremely fresh. I made the statement after it was all over, that I can absolutely tell (from my experience today at Peaches n Cream) when something is fresh and when it's not. They really know how to do it.

I found out about TPB online and I really liked the concept of being able to choose what you'd like weekly, and I didn't really want to buy into a CSA. TPB hand-delivers your items, and they have a nice variety of produce, fruits, meats and even different sweets and snacks you can add to your boxes. The very first box my mom received was decent (note: you have to provide your own box)... except it was missing an item, and the quality of one bunch of fruit was poor/damaged. She informed TPB about her damaged fruit and also about the missing item, and they said they would get back to her about it. I definitely understand that mistakes happen, and items are overlooked... so I didn't see this as a big deal. I'm thinking TPB would at the least just include the missing item (or a reasonable equivalent) in the next weeks box, let her know... and problem solved. Nah... A few days passed with no follow up. So I shot out a quick e-mail, and I received a response back the same day letting me know they would look into it. Cool. However, a few more days passed with no follow up! Nah... Meanwhile, my mom received her next weeks box, which was fine. Problem is she is still sans the missing item from the first delivery, and she still has no idea when or if TPB plans to resolve the problem. I'm someone who believes customer service is equally, if not more important than the product received. I want to have my concerns or problems quickly addressed and handled... especially if I'm a new customer! Most memorable to me are the businesses who not only want to make sure you are completely satisfied, but actually follow up and quickly resolve your concerns. To this day, I still haven't heard back from TPB about the missing item. I shouldn't have to contact a business more than once, let alone twice... to get what I paid for. I have cancelled my membership. Mom wasn't happy about it, but she knows how I feel about spending my money on products offered from companies with bad customer service. Now Yelp knows too haha. Some are necessary evils, others aren't. I may have 99 problems, but TPB ain't one...
