I've been coming to this Publix at 14601 S Dixie Hwy, Palmetto Bay, FL 33176 for years, as its closes to my job, and I have always been very happy with the service. Sadly and most recently, I have experience a drastic decline in customer service. Mostly, the meat department has proven to be poorly managed. I did meet once Jose the store manager and he was very professional and did the right think for me. There is never enough organic chicken or organic meats. And I get it everyone is eating healthier these days. However, in recent months I have asked for rain checks when out of items. Frank one of the managers in that department is not open to accept rain checks and yesterday I had a poor experience with him as he accepted my rain check changing the price to meet the rain check. He was angry. This was a terrible experience. At this location showing has become not pleasurable at all. I never thought I would write a negative review on Publix. It's one of my favorites places to shop, except maybe e this location. read more

Pretty Cool supermarket. . I was in town for Miami Boward Caribbean West -Indian Carnival-festival back in October 2022 . I was staying right next door at the Quality inn suites Miami literally right next door . and I came here for snacks for dinner so I can put in my Mini a freezer at the hotel . This supermarket is very nice and the staff are very friendly helpful as well . If I'm in the Miami area I'll definitely would come back here , and there a CVS pharmacy literally right next door . And plus there have large a parking lot for drivers and there the Miami transportation bus line that connects you to the Train to downtown Miami P.S. : You can catch the 38 bus and transfer to Dadeland South Metrorail Station and connections to downtown miami -vice a verse , or you can catch lyft or uber your choice !!!!!! read more

I had left my attorney' office near by and then done some shopping at Amy's Hallmart Store next door and saw there was this Publix located here... I said meh I need to do groceries might as well do it here. This is a great Publix, and wish this one was the one near my house. First of all, this Publix now offers the ability to order your groceries thru instacart and now you can come and pick it up... from what I was told they will take the groceries to your car.... omg a way to do less work? Great idea. They have an area to store your items... even temperature controlled... smart. Service is great here... shelves are fully stocked. I was even surprised to find items for sale in their deli that are not available in the one near my house... specifically Canadian bacon! I was pretty upset because I love Canadian bacon and was wondering why my Publix doesn't carry it? Anyway great place to buy your groceries from. read more

I've never been so upset of the prices of this Publix. This Publix was a over priced by 25% per produce. I asked the manager why and he stated it's because of the area? We are in dade county! Price gouging at it finest. I'll have to drive to drive to the 160st Publix. I hate being ripped off for buying food! read more

I recently visited this Publix in Palmetto Bay and I had to place a google review. I stopped in to purchase chicken tenders and Maria in customer service was phenomenal. I purchased a lot of chicken tenders and she didn't charge me for the chicken tender sauces as a courtesy. I was a little disappointed with the quality of chicken tenders being that when I brought them for a social gathering, they were not crispy, pale in color and extremely soggy. But the customer service is really outstanding and I had to acknowledge the Store Manager about their amazing staff. read more

My home Publix I come here all the time. It has everything I need and more. It's huge first of all. Second it has a liquor store connected to it and third everyone that works there is so nice. Lately I've been going in the afternoon and there is a woman working the register that is as smart and nice as can be. I don't know her name but I went in with my usual digital coupons. I noticed the machine was broken. Acting funky. So I told her. I knew I had gotten some things on the coupon list but she said she didn't see anything. Weird. Long story short she did call the manager and asked. The machine for some reason was acting crazy. Ended up calculating the discounts at the end. She managed to give me the correct change using her head. The computer had calculated the wrong change and had not accounted the discounts until the end. She told me she used to do it all the time in a previous job. Not only was she nice she managed to do it in her head without breaking a sweat. Wow. Now this is 5 star service. Thank you Publix for hiring amazing cashiers. PS she was from NYC if Publix reads this. Only have had positive experiences here. I've had plenty more. This was just one. Thank u! read more

I was in dire of a job to support myself, this would have been my 2nd time being hired for Publix. With 3+ years of experience at Publix as a bagger, cashier, and meat clerk, my overall resume was great. I do admit I left Publix the first time without a proper 2 week notice, and this was inappropriate. There was a plethora of reasons I acted in this manner quickly and briefly, due to poor management (Managers talking crap about each other), unethical work settings (one manager even flirted with me), and I was promised a pay raise and position upgrade as well as a training for a meat cutter position. None of those were ever received, I was even sent to another store to "train" for 6 weeks. Again "training" that was not received because the store I was sent to was to understaffed and busy. So with the frustration and empty promises, I quite out of repugnance and absolute disgust at the quality of people I was around and the unprofessional, unethical work environment. Honestly I felt undervalued as an employee , and an asset to Publix, who worked for there for 3years. I was making $12.60/hr, and in reality I should have been making $14+/hr after the training and position upgrade. So I then decide to give Publix another chance at employment. Upon my first interview, I was told starting wage for grocery clerks at this store location is $14/hr, yet my job offer from Onay Pedraza (assistant store manager) on my second interview was $13.10. During the interview I emphasized my inappropriate lack of a 2 week notice, and attempted to justify my reasons and express myself to Onay. When I asked him to clarify the changes and why the sudden deduction of - $.90. He over reacted and rudely told me "Take the job or leave it!" I again asked why and what exactly was he basing my pay on, especially if I was told $14/hr from the beginning, and his response was "Matter of a fact don't take the job!" Extremely rude and unprofessional, and he does not deserve the position as an assistant manager. I've extended this matter to corporate. God bless these corrupt men. He will read this review and indeed he will remember my name. Onay, do better, not only for yourself but for the employees who make Publix what it is. Cheers to freedom. read more

Super friendly staff. Anytime I can't find something, one of the staff either takes me to the item, or goes to get it for me. Additional info: November 6, 2015 -- I had to come back to update my review. I was buying my groceries tonight and bought some wine. The young boy bagging my purchase told me that if I got another bottle, I'd get a small discount and a free carrying bag to reuse. He even went and got me the bottle and bag. I shop here a lot, and this bagger was all smiles and obviously loves his job. I hope I am remembering correctly, I am pretty sure his name is Mark. You can recognize him because he'll be the one smiling, joking with customers, and he's pretty tall with dark hair. I'll be looking for him each time I shop. read more

First time at this Publix for a pit stop at the bakery and Chrissy in bakery was AMAZING and so personable. Great way to start my day!

Shopping is not a pleasure at the Publix located at 14601 S Dixie HWY,Palmetto,Bay FL 33176, it's a shame because it's 2 blocks from my home. I've been several times to pick up steaks that were on sale, Wed. before the ad changes and they claim to not have any or they advertise the gourmet burgers and they don't even have them out the day the sale begins, their response was we're making them later! What pushed me over the edge was my experience with the bakery manager. I used to special order mini egg knots with seeds and he said we don't make them. I was trying to place my order over a week in advance. **Now, I drove out to the Publix at Plaza Del Paraiso, 12100 SW 127th Ave., Miami, FL 33186 , which is an inconvenience especially when store 223 is almost in my back yard, and spoke with the baker there. He said, how many do you want because I have to make them by hand. I told him I'd like 2 dozen and he said he'd make them for me! I told him thank you very much and it's hard to get other Publix bakeries to agree to make them! Kudos to this bakery for making my Publix Shopping experience a pleasure. read more

Ordered a cake for my son birthday very simple instructions .. first the cake was totally wrong had to get the cake fixed like 3 times had no care in doing it or any care that the cake wasn't right whatever , & SECOND OFF I asked for strawberry filled cake like I've been doing for 20 something years now so I get home & they gave me plain vanilla ! So disappointed I've been getting cakes for all birthday from Publix for about 20 something years & honestly the last 2 years have been nothing but careless mistakes like they aren't even listening to you hoping they don't have to see you again so disappointed won't ever get a cake from this Publix again HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE NO CARE IN THE WORLD read more

Went in today for some bread, rolls, etc.... staff very nice but saw roaches crawling out of the shelf while in line to check out... that is bad, very bad. Close the store and fumigate for bugs! read more

I love this Publix but MY god the prices are getting out of control. $8.50 for a small pre cut bowl of watermelon! Ridiculous. How are families suppose to eat with prices like that. This is my only complaint. Shame on you Publix. read more

Although this Publix has been a staple of the area near The Falls for many years, it recently underwent a major renovation, mostly, in the form of an exterior facelift. It's quite large, though it has yet to catch up with other Publix locations that offer a self-serve salad bar and hot foods section (hence the one star deduction), but otherwise, it is clean, well-organized, with spacious aisles and friendly employees. My folks, who live in this area, shop religiously at least one to two times a week and have formed a close rapport with a few of the employees over the years. read more

As great as Publix has always been and I prefer over any other supermarket - this location has the worst customer service from their cashiers, not only they have an attitude they are rude, they could care less about the customer in front of them. I have gone there a few times being that my daughter just move closer to this location. The first couple of times I thought - well it might have been just these two particular cashiers, but when it happens more than 3x - it is already a trend. Horrible experience! read more

This is my first time here in this location, I was looking for chocolate lava cake and the lady in the bakery I think misunderstood me and said they don't have it. Later when I was shopping for vegetables, the lady came to me and asked me is this the cake, that was going above n beyond...n the cake was awesome... Long story short, I forgot to ask her name but the service she provided me is beyond words read more

This is the Publix we usually shop at.Usually pretty happy with the employés and services.Deli can be quite slow at times.I do have a couple of things not too happy with lately. So chicken breasts are on sale, bogo. All they have is huge packs out.Asked to split one.Nope.I thought the meat dept.would be able to do that.Would have bought all 4 packs.I just did not want such big packs as there are only 2 of us.But my biggest gripe, they had publix ranch dip on sale.I'm there on 7/15. They were all dated 7/8.Of course I did not buy it.Not the first time either. So I am constantly checking expiration dates.Drives me crazy. It is a good store most of the time. And is close to home.So will continue to go there.KW read more

This Publix is really good and I like how everything is organized but in the deli section there is an old lady that works there , she is not nice , it was not a pleasant service and she also offended me because I speak softly and this is was she said "you need to speak up to survive in America" I did not like that at all, it was not her place to tell me that adding that I am still not a grown up and my mom was next to me, at least she could have been nice , next time I will not like a service from this worker. read more
