This Publix is not in my neighborhood but I needed to pick up a cake for a Xmas party that I'm attending this afternoon. They have a nice bakery section with a well stocked selection of desserts and I found a nice Red Velvet cake! I'm so glad they had it. I like this Publix. I was warmly greeted by a few employees as I entered. That's always a nice feeling. The store isn't very large but is well stocked, clean, and organized. They have a good sized parking lot. We were recently in a bind after our cake lady ghosted us the day before our party. Having no cake we thought where could we possibly go to get a cake with such short notice. We went to Publix and were met by the sweetest ladies, they were kind, understanding and willing to make it work. They told us look at the book and see which one you'd like, none were to my liking and she told me to show her an inspo picture which i did and she said she could do it no problem! I was so excited she even gave us advice on which flavors would taste best. Come the next day and my husband goes to pick up the cake nice and early and when he brought it home i was blown away! The cake was beautiful and more than i expected! We took the cake to our event and everyone was complimenting it on how big and beautiful it was. Now the best part was the taste, mannn did that cake taste amazinnnnggg. If you guys need a cake for any occasion please go to this publix as their bakery staff is top notch! read more

Nice Publix tucked away in a fairly new shopping plaza. This Publix is small but has everything necessary. I come here when I am in the area to pick up anything that I may need. I like it's quaintness. There is a lot of staff in this one and friendly. I felt like many of the employees approached me to ask if I needed anything. Great Publix and it's location is convenient for everyone traveling on US1 and who live in south Pincrest. This Publix has a large parking lot and a Publix liquor store next door. It's a Publix one stop shop! As you walk in you have a nice feeling of family oriented employees greeting you, and everything is nice and neat. Today I went to gather some last minute items for the Super Bowl cookout I was having and the lines were moving quickly despite the amount of people that had flooded Publix. This hasn't always been my favorite location to shop at, but is the closest Publix to me. I have to say that during this pandemic, this couple of months this supermarket has stepped up, always having supplies, produce, meat and products stocked on shelves as soon as they can. Also social distancing and CDC sanitizing guidelines have been present every time I've been there shopping. Going to the supermarket has been stressful this days and i have to say every time i've been here i fell safe at all times because it has never been crowded, the staff always has a smile and are eager to help out. If I could give this program a negative 100, I would. I have used instacart probably 6 times and 2 out of the 6 times was my order correct. I had to call customer service multiple times and they did assist, but after calling multiple times you would think management would tighten up. I do not know if these shoppers receive training, and if they are, it is horrible. I placed notes on how much produce and meat I wanted to be more specific. The shoppers were not reading them at all, or did not know how to read the scales in the produce aisle, or able to calculate the pounds of meat. This job must require people to be able to read and do basic math; which should include conversions. Or give the shoppers conversion cheat sheets. I was left with wrong orders and one time I had to get a shopper to redo the order over 3 times. That is UNACCEPTABLE. Secondly, the drivers were fine, except for the last one I received. She did not speak a word of English because she was texting me; even though I stated to call me as well. Again, how can she call if she did not not speak English. She also had the audacity to curse me out because she could not communicate with me. I was lucky enough to understand most of what she was saying, but could not respond. The basics are essential because drivers do not know what home they will show up at and communication is essential. I reiterate once more, human resources needs to be better and stop allowing mediocrity to happen and take care of your customers, especially if they are paying a service fee and tip. I would not recommend Publix Instacart to anyone because I gave multiple chances and they failed constantly. read more

The cash register ( I forgot her name) and the guy helping me with the bags, were so nice and made me smile since I went on the day of my birthday. They made fun and cute comments. This is a super friendly Publix, you are looking for stuff and staff ask you if you need help... there you go! They are very different from the other Publix Supermarkets! I come to this Publix for the convenience. However, it's a much smaller store than the others in the area. This means it can be a little more crowded to push your cart through, with narrower aisles and tighter corners. The items are also a bit more packed together. They may also have a slightly smaller selection of some types of foods, though this hasn't been too much of an issue for me yet. read more

This by far is my favorite Publix! The employees are overly helpful and kind. They love to spark up conversations, make jokes... and it is not only the younger employees, it is all their employees which is great because you it puts you in a great mood, groceries are fun, and when letting go a couple hundred dollars at the cashier makes it not as bad because you're distracted lol. The fruit and veggie section is not the biggest but always in stock, and always fresh. The fresh fish section is tiny, but again always on point. The manager walks around looking throughout the store making sure everything is on point, and if any one needs assistance. The sub section, is fabulous they are quick to keep the line moving. Bakery, adoreeeeeeeeeeeee they are very helpful. I was going to do a cake, and they took their time suggesting ideas etc. etc. loveeeeeeee I have not had a bad experience here. One thing they can add is having cold Starbucks frapps & Arizona ice teas in the mini fridges - that would send them over the top. read more

When this is over please have the deli employees take an OSHA CLASS and learn about cross contamination. I'm so upset. I just went to the deli in publix and had two girls in front of me wearing gloves and masks. Both of these girls kept touching EVERYTHING. Keys, face, hair, the deli glass etc. Etc. This girl asks the deli worker for the cheese and the worker couldn't tell which one she was choosing. The girl opens the glass with the same dirty ass gloves she was wearing and grabs the cheeses and hands it to the deli worker while the worker is laughing because she couldn't see it. The deli worker starts touching the cheese and cutting like nothing happened with her same gloves. Meanwhile me and the guy behind me drop our baskets and walk out. Y'all don't understand you're spreading w.e germs are on your gloves onto w.e you're touching. As a tattoo artist, would you like me to use the same gloves I've used on multiple people to do your tattoo, wipe you etc. Same setup, same needle???? Doesn't sound like a good time does it. Stop being morons. I change gloves 50 times while tattooing. You have to do the same if you're going to be out and about touching food. Now I'm going to have a panic attack and think about that asquerosa all day. Let's not get into the mold that is on the glass in the deli as well. read more

This is my 'GO TO' store for produce/water and lately during this COVID-19 crisis, disinfectants and paper-wiping. Not almost, but every store personnel have always proven to be helpful and a benefit during good times and also this most recent trying phase. This store staffers were what was the real meaning of 'Family' - a group of persons in service of being a unit. I had become very reliant on a number of this Publix representatives to meet many essential needs and received very good personal support on a one-to-one basis just like it was family. Store Rep. - OMID, was one individual who proved to always be supportive towards my inquiries with great cordial, professional, and understanding insightfulness with a welcoming attitude for my returning each time. I really have to say something about this Publix. Yes it's in a smaller location and is itself smaller than most Publix, but the service and quality is still the same, perfect. The employees go out of their way each time and provide quality customer service. There are times when I can't find an item, I won't ask for help but an employee sees me,asks me if they can help and then will go to the back to see if there's more and if not they let me know when it'll be back in stock. Again, all that without even asking,just a great employee with good observation. I've made this my go to Publix just due to the service alone. This review will be of the bakery only. Had big craving for chocolate today so I decided to make the great mistake of going to the Publix bakery to attempt at satisfying my chocolate craving. Purchased a 2.5 dollar chocolate lovers cake slice, a 3.2 dollar red velvet cupcake and 6 dollar carrot cake. Lesson learned: never go to this Publix with a bakery craving for chocolate because you will be disappointed. Flavor was very similar to the boxed chocolates you find at Walmart. The carrot cake was good but the bogus labeled "chocolate lovers" slice is more deemed to be called" garbage lovers" . The red velvet was just as dry and flavorless. I didn't even bother eating them. I've used the Publix Instacart delivery service 6 or 7 times, and it's been hit and miss. Every other time, wrong items have been delivered, with Instacart ignoring my instructions and my second choices. In my most recent order (March 23,2020), a sub sandwich was prepared defiantly wrong. I said don't toast the bread (they toasted it), and my selected toppings included, green pepper, cucumber, tomato and oil & vinegar). these ingredients were replaced by mushrooms, jalapeno peppers and Mayonaise. i DETEST Mayonaise. Worse, yet, I had ordered a bottle of wine. Instacart's tactics were unreasonable. I am 63 years old, and my mother (whom I live with ) is 94 years old. We are clearly entitled to buy a bottle of wine. My only responsibility is to show my identification which I did. My mother no longer drives, and I was never a driver, so we have the Florida state identification card (from the Department of motor vehicles). My only responsibility is to show my identification, which i immediately did. I can't make any guarantee that my identification can be successfully photographed on a cheap smartphone. the young delivery lady made six unsuccessful attempts to photograph both the front AND REAR of my identification card. What on earth would instacart achieve by photographing the rear of a drivers license or Identification card? Its only content is a magnetic stripe, whose contents aren't photographable anyhow. On the 8th or 9th attempt, the young delivery lady was able to photograph my identification, after which she typed in additional information on her phone. I wasn't going to let this delivery lady cheat me out of the bottle of wine. If she had not eventually handed over the bottle of wine, I would have telephoned the local police department, to have them send an officer to my home, to order the delivery lady to hand over the bottle of wine. Undoubtedly, Instacart has a staff of corporate attorneys who stay up all night dreaming up these roughneck tactics. On Monday, March 23,2020 these tactics were used against a pair of senior citizens. Instacart should be ashamed of themselves. i've learned a lesson: don't order sub sandwiches or wine from Instacart. I won't place any further orders with Instacart unless my mother insists. The next time that I have to go to my local publix store (Surfside) to pick up prescription medicine, I'll buy a sub sandwich or a bottle of wine there. The sub sanwhich will have the correct ingredients, and I won't be excessively hassled to buy the bottle of wine. My mother & I rarely drink, so we buy 3 or 4 bottles of wine in a year. My attempts to contact Instacart (through the Publix Instacart site) were met with a formulaic response. They assumed that because my order had been delivered, that my problem had been resolved. Instacart is blatantly contemptful of their customers. Shopping at a Publix store may indeed be a "Pleasure", but shopping through Instacart is anything but. It's a bummer. The soonest that Instacart could deliver was three days after I ordered, and when the delivery date arrived, delivery was FOUR HOURS late. read more

This is going to my second favorite Publix! I have never felt so much gratitude to any Publix before! I have recently hurt my eye and I have been getting stares from passe-bys. Only one person offered to help me--beside my mother--while other people watched me. I don't like the attention. That person who offered to help me was an employee of Publix. When I told her I was okay, but thanked her. She kept an eye out to help me if I did need help. Honestly, that took me by surprised because everyone else just watched me. After that, other Publix employees offered me help when I was walking through out the store. I'm going to call the store to let them know that they have great people working for them. read more

This Publix is great because it's never too packed like others. I come here often and everyone is so nice and friendly. The butchers are always willing to help me with special cuts of thin filet mignon for my grandma. I love that Publix will return any item regardless of why you are returning it. Be careful with Publix & InstaCart. Without me agreeing to a membership, they automatically joined me in their membership with a $149 membership fee with simply an email they sent me that just said "we are taking a membership fee out of your account number xxxx in the sum of $149." I never authorized this payment nor did I authorize that they can keep my bank account number in their records for future use. (Although the time that I used it I paid for the grocery shopping and the delivery fees.) read more

This is the friendliest, cleanest, and most service-oriented supermarket I've EVER been to!!! I've shopped here since they opened about 2-1/2, 3 years ago, and it never ceases to amaze me that employees are so jovial and good-natured. If they see you taking your time to decide which brand or which size to choose, they'll come up to you and ask if you need help. If they pass you in the aisle, they'll say hello. They'll gladly answer any questions you may ask any clerk in the store. Once I asked one of their stock young men for a particular Spanish cupcake; he stopped what he was doing and took me four aisles down, picked out the product, and handed it to me. Another time, one of the butchers took time to explain to me the difference between two different cuts of meat. The cashiers also are very professional and pleasant, and usually ask you if you were able to find everything you needed. This is a neighborhood-size store-not a super large one-but they have a good selection of everything, and they are within a mile of where I live. Keep up the good work! read more
