We found this place driving by and it's such a great health conscious grocery store! Even has a little cafe with tons of coffee options. They had really unique offerings and we found some rare items. My girls were excited to try this pineapple was insanely delicious! The service was great, they pulled us out of line recognizing the line was long due to a large order and they café employee checked us out. The only grocery store chain that sells a specific product. It was very rainy this day but it did not deter us from making the journey. I also picked up a fresh load of bread for sandwiches. I was at the deli at your bird rd location and Silvia, Ana and Erika G. do not represent the standards of Milan's. I was told by both Silvia and Ana that they do not speak English and therefore could not assist me after I was upset at one of them taking care of a man that did NOT have a number! Then Erika's attitude did not help to ease the situation. We go to Milam's and pay any additional costs because of the quality and service but the truth is it's turning into an overpriced Sédanos from Hialeah. I almost forgot to mention that I requested for the skin to be removed from the Salmon that I ordered at your seafood counter and the young man stated he didn't have a knife to be able to do it! I wish we had a Milam's Markets in our area. This is a cross-over store that is upscale. The market is a wonder world for people who want to find interesting things to eat and drink. I love the craft beer and wine section. It is like a mini market for world wines and beers. Check out the dessert area. They have many selections for vegans, gluten free, sugar free and the all out "gain a few pounds" desserts. The layout at this location is great because anyone who is OCD or ADHD would appreciate that they won't get distracted or side-tracked because there is a flow: no zig-zag aisles. It is always busy so if crowds of people wandering around with carts that ram into you once in while, take a deep breath and enjoy the sites. read more

I love going to the store because of the convenience and the products. But this is now a handful of situations where I find something rotten after purchasing. Stickers over rotten pieces of fruit, I've had a meringue can that was $11 not working so I had to drive back and return it. I also purchased eggnog that was halfway open. I guess it's my fault for not checking, but there's been too many circumstances. Now I just purchased one bell pepper it looked fine, and as I cut it open in half it's all moldy on the inside. I don't know who is in charge of, all of this produce coming in but you need to check the suppliers. Customers spent a lot of money coming here. read more

I am really impressed with Milam's Market. I went last night for the first time. I was hoping to find some banana chocolate chunk bread from Susilicious, a vendor I recently was made aware of at the Mango Festival that Fairchild Tropical Gardens holds. Turns out that while Milam's carries her goodies, they had no bread. I spoke to who I believe was the manager and he was very kind and found out they don't usually get bread. Just cookies and meringuitos. I ended up buying some cookies. I'm sure they're delicious. I will have to keep hunting for some more bread from Susilicious. I am happy, however, that her brand brought me to Milam's. While there's no way I would shop there on the regular (too far and too expensive for me), the customer service is exemplary and the selection for wine, cheese, and bread are stars. I found rows upon rows of wine. Felt as if I were in a mini wine store. Not to mention all the breads, including Brazilian cheese bread and even prebaked French baguettes. I think the only thing I didn't see was Indian naan, and even, I wonder if I simply missed it. Plenty of vegan and vegetarian meals. Freshly made salads, sushi, and deli products. Oh, and individual Panera Bread soups that I've only ever seen in bulk at BJs and Costco. But the best part? A ridiculous amount of sauces, including arrabbiata. read more

This has to be the WORST Milams that have!! I mean no one really speaks English from the employees in customer service to the deli employees to the cashiers. It's unreal m, I mean Milam's wants to have an certain image and cater to a certain clientele and it's definitely not seen at the Bird Road location. I try to avoid this location at all costs. I tried making a return of a chicken salad that I purchased once, and I got like 10 questions just to make a simple return. There is also this supervisor or wannabe manager with long black hair and definitely not trained well as well who's beyond rude who works there who makes the shopping experience there just really unpleasant. The store is fantastic. From the bakery, to floral, to the bakery, deli, the fresh produce and the overall selection, it is absolutely amazing. Here in Orlando, we are lucky if we can find one style of Schar gluten-free bread. This store had eight types of Schar gluten-free bread from complete loaves, baguettes, white bread, whole grain bread and the like. I would compare it close to a Fresh Market, but just a bit cheaper and much better. read more

Milams is not my first choice market due to the prices. If I come here it is because I am looking for a specific item I don't find anywhere else. For example: Chilean Sea Bass. Otherwise I will just get the minimal stuff that I need for cooking a meal. Overall the market is neatly arranged, the vegetable area is always beautiful. Although the store seems a bit dim in lighting. Seafood section has a great variety, shrimps, several types of fish, stone crabs, etc. I see from the other reviewers food is good here, I guess I will give it a try next time! read more

This was my first time here, and both my daughter and I liked it because: The reasonable prices. Great variety of cooked food in​ the fridge. You can buy any type of salad, pasta or any other of their pre-cooked​ food by the pound. It looked very good. The beautiful orchids they have for sale in​ different parts of the store. Upscale supermarket with perky, smiling staff. It's a pretty market but in the more expensive side. I love their bakery and deli. The supermarket is located in a very busy shopping center where many cars come in and out at all time of the day. They have plenty of parking but be aware of the craziness of the amount of people coming in and out of the shopping center going to the Milam's, Walgreens, Matsuri, bakery, etc. I came to return 2 packs of ginger ale in glass that I bought thinking they were ginger beer. We had a very disappointing experience on Dec. 24th. We thought that Milam's had great Stone Crabs. But no, not that day. They were mealy, almost like they had been frozen! And worse was the unmistakable odor of chlorine on many of them. Bought 2.2 lbs at $50/lb. Terrible waste. Lesson learned. read more

Excellent service and a great and varied selection at this grocery market. They have everything from organic and Kosher choices to conventional produce. Great wine selection too. I recently purchased some avocados that were over ripe. And they returned them without a single question. This just shows what great service this place has and why it is my favorite place to shop. The loveliest red, yellow and orange peppers I've ever seen! This is the place for you OCDiers. I was there for a bite for lunch. They have a sandwich special for 4.99 with a soda and chips. The sandwich alone could feed a family of six (but I ate it all, glutton that I am!). This was my first visit but it will not be my last. I only wished I lived closer. On second thought maybe not; I think I'd spend my whole paycheck here. What a gorgeous little market! Oh, and the prices are awesome! read more

I was pretty disappointed with my recent visit to Milams. However, there were still a couple of aspects that did impress me about the market. Pros: 1. Milams has some of the best house made salads. They are way better than the options at Fresh Markets coming jam packed with high quality ingredients. 2. They are one of the only markets that carries items from the organic farmer's market. Whole Foods does carry some items, but Milams has topped them by having some of the salad items (ie-seaweed salad) that you can purchase by weight at the farmer's market. Con: 1. They have a tiny vegetarian section of tofu and tempeh options. They were also out of my shiritaki noodles! 2. The market is pretty expensive--some prices are even higher than Whole Foods. 3. The market is not too large and seems to be a bit confused about its target customer. They have some high quality products, but then carry some of the giant corporation's chips and sodas. The visit wasn't particularly memorable....No need to shop here with the option of Publix, Winn Dixie, Whole Foods, and Fresh Market to fulfill any food craving and need! read more

I love walking into a grocery store and immediately being thrown into their floral section. While the inventory is not as varied as other grocers, it's got a little bit of everything you need to make your pantry and fridge happy. The presentation always gets me because it's obvious they actually try and focus on only delivering the freshest products in efforts to stand up to the reputation they've built themselves. The store is clean and has ton of organic isle items. I was looking for more grass fed cuts of meats unfortunately like other health food stores in Miami Fresh grass fed meat is difficult to come by. Love this place, especially after the upgrades! The ambience is like a Fresh Market and the cheese and wine selection is pretty good! Their produce section is very fresh and the staff have always been really helpful! It was a nice small neighborhood market before, and it's managed to keep its charm after they redid the place, but now it's a much nicer shopping experience. I love Milam's market. It always reminds of the Italian supermarkets back home where service and quality food are all on the same level. Every time my boyfriend and I come here, all the cashiers and even the manager welcome us so kindly and nicely that make the whole experience of grocery shopping even better! At Milam's I always find products that I can't find anywhere else especially the international ones. Italian and French cookies, French butter and even chocolates and cereals. It's a pleasure coming in here and being able to "feel like at home". Also, the veggies and the fruit are always really good just like the meat. Their Deli section is also really good! Cuban food is one of the must here at Milam's on Bird Road which I love as well. They also offer a good selection of wines from many countries of the world! My favorite section out of all of them? I don't know what more to say about the grocery scene in Miami other than it is very disappointing. Let me preface the following by telling you that I prefer more than a small, expensive organic selection in a store that is laden with conventionally grown and highly processed garbage. Yes, I want more. I want more than Whole Foods, I want to support the local economy, and consume truly organic (seasonal and sustainable) foods, not 95% organic matter either, no; I want 100%. No GMOs, no pesticides, hormones, high fructose corn syrup; no large Frankenfood offerings, none of it. I don't even want to see it! Why slap "IGA" (Independent Growers Assoc) on the front of your store if you're still selling shit from Kraft, General Mills, Cargill, Heinz, Nestle, Unilever, Dole, Proctor and Gamble, etc???
