Avis in self checkout and the customer service manger America are rude, disrespectful, and argumentative. Both of them are the worst Publix employees that I have ever encountered. They made the atmosphere unwelcoming and uncomfortable. If it wasn't for the fresh food I wouldn't shop at Publix anymore. I was very disappointed in my trip to Publix today. I came to grab a quick dinner from the deli. I grabbed a half roasted chicken and a couple other things. After paying I left the bag with the chicken behind. A couple minutes down the road I noticed it and came back. By the time I got back they had taken the chicken and put it back in the deli as though it had never been paid for. Someone nobody knew what happened and didn't seem to care. After asking around one of the deli workers took the initiative to ask around and was able to find it back on the shelves. Publix has to be better than this. read more

I am writing this review to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service and hygiene at Publix #1226, located at 2275 Marietta Blvd, Atlanta, GA 30318. During my recent visit, I observed multiple issues: an employee's sweater sleeve came into contact with my sandwich toppings during preparation; bread was being stored next to the trash receptacle; and while preparing my food, she was behaving unprofessionally by talking about another employee. The young lady continued to work and ignored her. A manager intervened, but he yelled at the wrong person, then took the aggressive woman from the sub station to the back.So disturbing to see a man yelling at a woman.As a long-standing and loyal customer, I am deeply troubled by these unacceptable standards and will no longer be shopping at this location.I didn't want to give any stars. read more

Publix - Just disgusting sub bread!! - Grocery Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

I visited this location often before work to pick up lunch. On April 6th I ordered the Boars Head Italian Whole on White Mountain Bread w/ Smoked Gouda Cheese. When I sat down for lunch and bit into the sandwich I noticed something in my mouth which was very hard to chew. I literally had to spit out what was in my mouth and found a piece of plastic wrapped around the cappy ham. I took a pic before placing the remainder of the sandwich in the trash. The next day I called the store and spoke with a lady in the deli explaining my experience. She advised me that they would replace the sandwich and took my name down. I advised her I wouldn't be able to come back until April 10th my next work day. On the 10th I went into the store and went directly to the deli manager I located standing near the meat counter. I explained to him the situation and he said he'd have to call the person that took my name to verify. He came back a few minutes later and ask what type of sub I had previously. I advised him it was the Boars Head Italian Whole on White Mountain w/Smoked Gouda Cheese. He went over and began making the sandwich. I must admit I didn't stand there watching him making it as I was stand near the deli meat counter. The deli was extremely crowded. As I saw him placing the sub in the bag I advised it was suppose to be on White Mountain Bread. He stated that he forgot. I told him to leave it that way because I didn't have time to wait for him to prepare another one. I think he deliberately gave me the hardest sub roll they had available. The bread was impossible to bite down on. Maybe this is the way they punish the customers for requesting a replacement. When he picked up that sub bun he knew it was extreme hard and crunchy but continued making the sub. You would think he would try to make sure that I was completely satisfied the 2nd time around. This location have to do better in that deli and hire some people with friendly attitudes. Most of the older ladies are a bit rude and snappy when you ask them a question. read more

If you like to be ignored this is the place for you especially at the deli counter. I went last weekend and found that the cheese that was on sale was mismarked and waited at the deli counter to ask about the price. Deli employees came and went and laughed and talked amongst themselves as customers including myself were left standing there wondering if we were event noticed. I finally just stormed out of the store letting the manager of the store know that "if I wanted to be ignored I can just go to Kroger where it's at least cheaper!" LOL read more

The sandwich/deli counter is ridiculous! The employees making the subs legitimately spend 15 minutes per sandwich. This means if there is even 2 people waiting in line it's not worth your time trying to get a sandwich. Management must see what is going on and choose to not address or improve the situation. read more

Great location for a grocery store! Located right at Moore's Mill and Marietta Blvd, it's great to have a Publix in the area. There is still plenty of construction going on as this is a new shopping area but there's a Lush Nail Bar, a UPS store, and a cleaners but I'm sure there's plenty more to come in the empty stores. I mean there's a whole area for those who need to charge their cars while shopping. Fancy right? The parking lot was congested but there was more than enough parking but this is still a bustling area. The store was super clean and it was easy to find what I was looking for and I also appreciated the signage being well placed and easy to read. There was plenty of staff around and everyone I came in contact with was pretty friendly. This may become my new go-to store! read more

I went here yesterday to pickup and order. First, the guy that came out for pickup somehow walked past the only 2 pickup spots in the parking lot and walked around the entire parking lot, seemingly lost. Eventually, I saw him again just standing in the lot. Not talking, not looking around, literally just standing there. Eventually I said hello and the first thing he said to me is: "is this yours or for somebody else?" I was taken aback because he worked there and this was information that he was supposed to have. Not to mention, that being the first thing you blurt out at a customer is just weird. How would a stranger know if it was for someone else? I asked if there was a name on the bags and he seemingly remembered that that was a thing. Eventually, after more awkward interaction, he loaded the groceries up. When I got home, I found out TEN items were missing. Not only did this man have no idea what he was doing, but he managed to leave 10 of my items inside. I was furious because I didn't have the time to go back. Obviously not if I'm doing pickup. Now I won't be returning for a very long time. It is mind blowing to me that this guy was so inept from start to finish to the point where I had to help him do is job and then found of he actually still hadn't done it when I got home. I got my refund for all 10 items but that is a ridiculous oversight. If you want a few items that you can grab for YOURSELF, this place is fine. Otherwise, go where they have more competent employees. It's a shame because everyone else in the store seems so polite. But that guy was unbelievable from start to finish read more

I've always shopped at Publix grocery stores without a problem. Today, I went to Moore's Mill Publix to purchase a sheet cake and have something written on it (which I have never done). I understand the woman working in the bakery are not sales people but there their lack of interest in assisting me is the worst I've ever experienced. The part that made it deplorable was when I walked away without purchasing a cake and returned to them to explain my frustration with my lack of knowledge and their lack of assistance, they we laughing about the situation. I've been thinking about writing this review for months but decided after my experience last Sunday, it was finally time. This is hands down one of the worst Publix locations in Atlanta. Beautiful store and location, but the service needs drastic improvement. If there is a sub or dinner special advertised, it is never available. Of all the subs offered, this location could only offer 2 options and the explanation was "we are short staffed" we all understand what it is like to be short staffed, but it's how you handle it that matters most. There was so much yelling in the deli area that the associate who was making my sub could not hear me and I was forced to yell my order. Even when I walked the other aisles, I could still hear the staff from the Deli yelling and screaming to each other. As the deli was short staffed, associates from other departments were asked to step in and I am 100% sure it was more harmful than helpful, as it was clear that the associate was not familiar with the area. She stood in the way with a look of confusion as the other associates moved around her. Again, the wait times for this deli are unacceptable but I think it's more of the service that should be a focus. It can definitely be overwhelming to be short staff but never should the shopper feel the impact, let alone hear how they are "so ready to go home" "didn't sign up for this" "can't wait to get off at 3" as they slap your sandwich together in a panic. I have been a Publix shopper and fan for years. Always impressed with the level of customer service at all stores I visit from Florida to Georgia. Unfortunately, the one store that has been lacking, I mean there is never a visit that is NOT unpleasant is the Moores Mill Store in Atlanta. The deli workers are the worst , very rude and unfriendly. Many cashiers are non-engaging and unhelpful. I work near this Publix and we have to draw straws to see who is the loser to pick up lunch at the deli. Very sad as this is the only store I have had this poor of an experience in. read more

I came here to grab some lunch and was curious and a little leery about getting a pre made salmon salad. It was surprisingly tasty! It had salmon, capers, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, greens and a nice tangy dressing. It was every bit as good as any of the salads I could get at the local restaurants and at a much better price. I really enjoyed it and will be likely to get lunch from Publix more often. read more

I did not have a good experience with this Publix today and I shop several around the area. The lady in the seafood department today was bitter and aggressive and refused to respond to my questions. I said good morning and was pleasant but she just could not be bothered and seemed like she hates her job and people in general. I understand it is a difficult time for many but this was a bit much. Enough to never want to return. I said good morning and thank you and have a nice day with a smile. Now I will mention there were others in the store who went the extra mile and that is where the 2nd star is given. Checkout was smooth. I have had the worst experience at this Publix; from meat going bad overnight to nearly expired and expired items I ended up buying and only realizing after I open and the smell would reflect the long time it's sat on the shelf. Not sure how these items have missed the product rotation and ended up in the front of the shelf. The worst was this weekend where crackers I bought had Feb 2019 date and smelled terrible when we opened them. The staff is so friendly and nice at this location, but their products have made me decide never to shop here again. read more

Publix is always my go-to grocery store. I always prefer it over other larger grocery stores. This Publix is usually well stocked and clean. Over the past few months I have noticed that the staff that makes the subs, slice the meat and work in the hot foods section are acting like they do not love working at Publix. They are constantly talking to each other about inappropriate things and ignoring customers, greet you with little to no words, aren't kind, and it always seems that that section is out of stock of soup bowls, condiments, soda cups, etc. You'll also see managers standing around or talking and seemingly ignoring the problems. I know that staff shortages create work stress and I'm sure in the grocery business, customers aren't always kind. Maybe if management stepped up, the experience would improve for all. read more

I went to the bakery to request my husbands favorite Birthday cake. The lady told me that I had to order it on the kiosk. I couldn't find the cake I needed. So I asked her if she knows about the Strawberry Blast cake. She said no we discontinued all strawberry cakes. Although I see Strawberry cakes on the Kiosk just not the one I'm looking for. So I asked her if I could show her a picture of it. She told me to come back with a picture of it printed out and they might be able to make it. THIS PISSED ME OFF. Wow. I am in love. With Publix. THIS Publix. I have never found joy in going to the grocery store but this location opened by my neighborhood last week and today I decided to check it out. Parking was a piece of cake. And as far as the store itself: I was amazed! It's new and clean, of course. It's also really well organized and the displays throughout are perfect. I spent a good 20 min mulling over produce like someone who had never seen fresh fruits and veggies before. The selection was that good. They also had a huge variety of healthy stuff that can be hard to find elsewhere....looking for 30 different kinds of kombucha? Shirataki noodles? Organic half and half? A pre-seasoned asparagus stuffed chicken breast? Look no further. The seafood department was also stocked with all kinds of heaven. After only a short visit (too short!) I managed to make it out with a full basket, two full hands, and a smile on my face. This is easily my new favorite spot to shop. read more

Publix does customer service well until you have to deal with the bakery. The bakery personnel seem put out with a customer that may have a question or inquiry. There is a large variety of items and even though the prices may be a bit higher than Kroger if you are patient you may see the very items you want at a better price because they often have a two for one. And now due to the virus, there are arrows on the floor to follow, so that you can be sure to keep a safe distance from other shoppers. All in all, this is a pleasant place to shop for food. read more
