I really don't go grocery shopping anymore. With shipped I do it all from my phone and get it delivered from a multiple g different places. However on this occasion I needed something quick and I was passing by this location. The store itself was ok... It seems a bit on the outdated side. Just older in its style. They do have a butcher and their meat area had what I was looking for and in good quality. The people working the counter were great and it ended up being an in and out trip. A poorly run store. I will no longer shop at this location. I told the deli lady three times what type of meat I wanted and she sold me a more expensive meat that I did not like. This Publix does a HORRIBLE JOB at keeping sale items on the shelf. For example, on at least two separate occasions when they had a sale on Icelandic water, the shelves were ALWAYS EMPTY! No display, no end cap, just the space set aside on the shelf. That space holds about 8-six packs but it was ALWAYS EMPTY. Try to find someone to help, good luck! No one knew anything about this item. Go there to shop but if you're going for a specific sale item, don't bother. read more

1 star for the bakery. I have given them three chances because everyone else seems to have a good experience. First time for my daughters birthday the Frozen cake I ordered was sloppy and the wrong flavor. Second time I ordered my sons 1st birthday cake. I go to pick it up and they never made it. I show them the slip and the question if I forged it or something which makes no sense. They asked if I was at the right Publix. I had to tell them this is the only one I come to. The manager finally offered me a cake for free. Third time I ordered my sons 2nd birthday cake to be ready at 12. I show up at 12:30 and they told me it would be ready in 20 mins. I go home because I had stuff in the car that needed to be refrigerated. My husband goes back for me at 1:30 and it's still not ready. read more

I love this Publix! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The Bakery manager went above and beyond to help me prepare for a large family gathering. He and his staff were amazing!! The employees don't hesitate to put down what they are doing and show you where to find items or go to the back to see if there are any more in stock. read more

i really am/was a huge fan of publix....but shopping is not a pleasure anymore. its normal to see DOGS (non-service dogs) in the stores licking on products. I have pictures of a dig INSIDE a grocery cart where people have to put their food. just now I took this picture of a dog licking and sniffing on candy at the register. all their employees see the dogs come in the store and they acts as if its normal, which it is normal at Publix. smdh. read more

Excellent neighborhood groceries! The store is stocked with everything you need. Publix offers hot deli foods at the deli counter as well as a cafeteria style hot bar for dine in or take out. The fresh produce section is amazing! A staggeringly large variety of fresh fruits and vegetables are neatly arranged and presented in easy to reach displays. The floors in the wide, spacious aisles are always clean, and the store smells good. The Publix staff is as impressive as any in the industry if not better! The staff is always friendly and helpful. The staff will stop and proactively ask if you need assistance, or if they can help you find something, or just simply greet you as they make eye contact with you. I enjoy my shopping experiences at Publix and will continue to shop Publix for my grocery needs. read more

Very frustrated with this location. I come here weekly, if not more so. The checkout and bagging process has become surlier - a game of "let's see how much of your stuff we can break or crush since you're paying top dollar". And then when I try to jump in and prevent/fix the situation, the rudeness of staff, lack of manners, inability to care about the quality of the job they're doing is truly depressing. Move over Jesus, this is my new savior, and heres why. They were open during the snowstorm of the century. After a 1.5 mile trek through the frozen wastelands of my neighborhood, we got to our salvation. Other then just today, in general this is the choice of store for shopping. We've all got that one super market that we visit pretty much every week, right? It's nearby, easily accessible and generally presents a positive shopping experience. Being creatures of habit, we keep returning until something gives us a compelling reason not to. This location has been "my" Publix for several years now. I prefer Publix to other grocery chains because generally I've found the service and store layouts to be superior Kroger, Aldi, Walmart, etc. There are exceptions of course. But I like this store just fine and it hasn't yet given me a compelling reason to abandon ship. If anything, sometimes the service borders on TOO accommodating. I'm a reasonably fit guy in my 30's, so chances are I don't need your help wheeling my groceries out to my car in the parking lot. If you ask me once and I tell you "no", there is absolutely no reason to ask me a second time. Once, a manager actually tried to guilt-trip me into accepting help. She suggested that the associates might get in trouble if they don't provide this service often enough. But I would just feel weird watching some pimple-faced teenager loading bags into my trunk when I'm perfectly capable of doing it myself. The checkout lines are rarely long and they tend to move quickly. Most of the baggers are on their game. There is one gentleman named Francis who is pretty much the most awesome bagger I've ever seen, so I will usually try to get in his line at checkout if I see him. The man could win a grocery bagging competition. He would never, for instance, place a frozen turkey on top of your bananas. Publix runs a lot of "buy one, get one free" deals that vary from week-to-week. These deals seem to correspond frequently with the things I purchase regularly anyway, so that makes me happy. I can usually stock up on a couple of items for half-price. Items are well labeled and stocked in a common sense fashion. Produce tends to be fresh. There is even a respectable selection of craft beers and an option to mix-and-match a custom 6 pack. The deli is fantastic and they make tasty sandwiches to order. They also offer those whole rotisserie chickens that are super handy when you don't feel like cooking but want to eat "real food". If you visit this location, be sure to grab a couple of coupon books at the entrance on your way in. That's a Pro Tip, on the house. read more

Lazy cashier!!... Did not want to re-open her cash register after a Supervisor/manager on duty asked her to re-open it... And seemed to get a kick out of it by disrespecting the customer!... She could have re-open her register but she chose not to and chose to be biased and lazy! She was being lazy claiming that she close and was being very disrespectful to customers. When I come to Alpharetta for work stuff I like coming to this Publix market for their great sandwiches. But I may have to go to another store instead after today. At this one today around 4pm I was there shopping for a few things and I went to the deil section for a sandwich. As I approached the counter I had to wait for about 5 mins to be asked was i being helped. I'm use to waiting since im from NYC, but that was not the issue the young guy behind the counter seen me when i walked up and barely looked at me as he was stirring in some food into the hot food section which is right next to the deil. Then he walked away to the back and then came back and still not acknowledged that I was there. As this was happening a older White woman stood near the glass of the hot food section and within seconds this young man spoke with her and asked can he help her? The women stated she was just looking and he said okay and then he walked back away again still not acknowledging that I was standing there for help to order a sandwich. Then finally a young lady from behind the counter approached and asked was i being helped I then stated no and I was standing here waiting and your co worker acknowledged the White older women but not me. I then started that I did want a sandwich but I was so turned off by the customer service of the young man who didn't even attempt to help me I decided that i didnt want the sandwich and much less want to continue to shop in the store. So I left the store and left the other items in my cart that I was buying. I then decided to go to the supermarket Kroger to shop for my items of choice. So I feel from now on I may shop at the Kroger market for better service. I then went back to the house I'm staying at here in Alpharetta and told my friends about the situation and they were just as upset on what happen with me. They then stated they may not shop there either to do their upcoming holiday shopping. It's a shame we are in 2017 and racism is still prevalent here in Georgia. But I'm not surprised at all. Great Publix! The store is bright and easy to navigate. I love the BOGOS they have every week too. I will say it's a little more expensive than Kroger, but the customer service is a million and a half times better, and it's worth it to me. I have two small kids- shopping with them can be stressful- I'm going to always choose the store that is accommodating, organized, and helpful. I'm usually not the type to write reviews but I was very frustrated by this situation. I was just at the alteration place next-door, and I hadn't eaten anything yet today. I've always heard great things about publix subs, so I thought I'd stop in and try one. As I was ordering, I was very clear with what I wanted, and stated it multiple times. But the lady who was taking my order just kept adding things she wanted to add, and not what I asked for. She decided she wanted to put bacon on it, but I didn't make a big deal out of it because I don't have an issue with bacon. I told her the last 2 things that I wanted on my sub, which were American cheese and lettuce. The lady looks at me goes "I already put Gouda cheese on it but do you still want American on it too?" After that I told no, I don't want anything else added to my sub. I take the sub and pay the $9 for it. I get home and try the sub, and my mouth is literally on fire. I don't know what else was added to it, but it was nothing I wanted. My $9 will be going else where for now on. read more
