I really wanted to love this florist because the arrangements themselves are genuinely beautiful. However, my experience with the staff and attention to detail was extremely disappointing. On two separate occasions, I provided a photo of a dress and clearly asked for arrangements that matched the dress colors, ideally accented with white. I even mentioned they could take some creative liberties. Both times, I received the exact same plain white arrangement, with no effort to incorporate the requested colors. While the final products looked nice, they did not reflect what I specifically asked for--and what I was paying for. It's frustrating to feel ignored as a customer, especially after giving clear direction more than once. Because of this lack of attention and poor execution, I won't be returning and cannot recommend this florist to others. read more

I will preface my review by saying that I usually ONLY leave reviews for businesses that are amazing, and I feel like the experience should be shared with others... I only gave 1 star because there is not an option for zero... this was my first and last purchase from this florist. I was very disappointed in the anniversary arrangement that was delivered to my wife, but now I'm even more disappointed in the response from the owner after sharing my disappointment (along with pictures of the arrangement). I ordered an arrangement of calla lilies that were delivered to my wife with stems cut so short they barely or didn't even touch the water they were in, so of course they looked lifeless. The arrangement was unimpressive, dull, and had no life to it. I have never experienced this with any flower order that I've made, and I've ordered from all types of florists to include 1800 flowers. When I brought this to the attention of the owner with pictures of the arrangement, the response I received was "unfortunately, It's the end of the Calla Lily season and this is the length of the stems that my supplier sent us. As a gesture of goodwill I would like to offer you 20% off your next purchase. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to serving you in the future." I'm not sure why this owner would believe that I would make another purchase from their business, but I think an appropriate response could have been 1. I apologize, here's a refund, 2. let us provide you with another arrangement at no charge, or 3. when the flowers arrived from the supplier, make the decision that the quality was not good enough for customers and not use them. I'd rather a call telling me that, and having the option of changing my anniversary order versus the product my wife received. I would not recommend using this florist. read more

Ordered a $65+ bouquet from 1-800-flowers to be made and delivered by this place as a "local florist delivery". (This guy works with the company) So disappointing. Flowers came half dried up and completely not fresh. You call that "fresh flowers delivered by your local florist"? Looks like the "local florist" just tried to get rid of old inventory and thought to slip by with an almost dead flower delivery. Not to forget to mention that the "greeting card message" was scribbled down on a random scratch piece of paper. I'm embarrassed to have that king of a "gift" delivered from me. It's sad how all some people care about these days is how to rip someone off and not deliver the results as promised. And on top of that he called the recipient at work and texted her before "surprising" her with the delivery. What is the point of that then? You are not supposed to bother the recipient beforehand, but instead just show up with the flowers and surprise them. This was supposed to be a birthday gift to my mother and when she received the calls and texts from the florist asking her "what time will you be working until" she became very confused as she did not know flowers were coming her way, as she was supposed to be surprised. What kind of a professional business would do that? Basically spamming the recipient and questioning her about her work schedule so you get to put the delivery off until the last minute, really ? Unbelievable. From horrible quality flowers to unprofessional delivery, I won't be ordering from him or 1-800-flowers again. I found this florist a while ago from driving through the shopping center. The shop is simply decorated, but the arrangements that are created are gorgeous! My friend's birthday is today, and she lives not too far from Windward Parkway - so a perfect opportunity to call on them again. I called yesterday and spoke with Boris, who was very helpful in asking what I was looking for - specific colors, etc. - and offered suggestions as well. He confirmed what I wanted on the card, as well as the address. (This may seem standard, but believe me - it's not!) I called again today to confirm the order, as I didn't see the charge on my credit card. Boris came through again, kindly reassuring me that all was as it should be. He took the time to snap a few photos before these were delivered. They are beautiful - and I know my friend will be thrilled! The shop is small and decorated fairly simple for a florist. The person working did not know a lot about the product, so I basically just asked for an arrangement and gave her a dollar amount to work with (more than a penny), which she said would be passed on to the owner. I ordered a bouquet with orchids for next day delivery, and received a call a few minutes later letting me know they didn't have orchids and would I be willing to substitute something else. I let the gentleman with whom I spoke know that I would really prefer orchids. He made the effort to procure them for delivery for the next day and followed up twice with me, letting me know that they had been able to find the orchids, and then again when they had been delivered. Well, I recently became a customer of this establishment, and I have to say, I like this place! I went in looking for something to give to my plus one. After agonizing over whether to get the bakers' dozen dozen (156) or just a dozen roses, I turned my attention to the perfect color. After finding no lavender, I selected a simple dozen red in a vase with some green stuff and some baby's breath. I think she liked it :) The roses look awesome - several days later. You have to order by 230pm or even earlier for most companies to have same-day delivery and those may not deliver it until 7 or 8 but w/in 90 minutes on a Friday, the flowers were delivered and looked amazing! I would not even give this florist a one star review. I can not begin to say how disappointed I am with Florist At Windward. I am not disappointed in the quality as much as I am with the customer service or rather complete lack of. I ordered roses to be delivered on February 13th. The recipient of the roses would not be home until that date. The flowers were delivered on February 12th. When I called and spoke to the Manager, Boris, he really had no excuse other than his florist had been delivering Valentine flowers all week and a day early is not a big deal. When I explained that the recipient was not there to receive the flowers, he offered to go and pick them up from the house and bring them back tomorrow. I explained that his would be an inconvenience for the recipient, but I would check and get back with him. Never during my first conversation with the Manager did he apologize for the incorrect delivery date. I reached out to the recipient's home only to find that the delivery person seemed rude during the delivery. When I called back to express my greater displeasure about the delivery person, the Manager flat out got angry and disrespectful and HUNG UP ON ME. I will never use the Florist At Windward again. I believe that along with quality a business needs to have good customer service. This was absolutely not the case. read more

I ordered through this Florist with FTD - not sure where the ball was dropped, but it made the past valentines day pretty terrible. The florist was supposed to deliver flowers to my mother's workplace who works in the area. they were SURE they would ge there before 5pm - but the ball was dropped, and they never did. They were even contacted around 4:30pm, and the establishment was "very confident" they would get delivered. My mother even waited around at her workplace until 5pm when she normally leaves earlier - just for the flowers. And they never came! I would definitely not recommend using this business. We used Florist at Windward for our wedding flowers (bouquets and reception centerpieces) and they did an AMAZING job. We received so many compliments on our flowers and they turned out exactly as I'd envisioned they would. I live out of state and to give them idea of what I liked, I emailed Natalie lots and lots of pictures of flowers from other peoples' weddings. Our reception was at the Trolley Barn in Inman Park (highly recommend the venue, btw) so I wanted the flowers to be simple, sweetly pretty, and a tad rustic-and FaW was spot on. We had a wonderful experience with Florist at Windward and couldn't have been happier with the flowers at our wedding. Walked in to place an order of a dozen and a half roses for our anniversary, which was that day. Although they didn't have all the roses I needed, they were able to get the arrangement ready in a few hours. When I picked up the flowers, the roses were wrapped beautifully and with plenty of greens. Within a day, the roses were in full bloom, and they lasted for just over a week. Very satisfied overall. Great place to place orders ahead of time, but don't expect to walk in and carry out flowers, which is what I see across many florists these days. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. The 1st time I ordered flowers they were beautiful and lasted a very long time. The next time, the flowers didn't even last one week. When I called to complain I was told the flowers must have been in the sun!! I told them they were in an office with no windows and the water was changed every day. For carnations to die in 4 days is ridiculous!! The owner told me to bring all the flowers back and they would replace the ones that were dead!! Really??? Very poor customer service and they didn't seem to care about losing a customer... This is not the only florist in Alpharetta, although they act like they are... My Husband ordered flowers for me for Christmas for the first time in 27 years. He picked an arrangement I would have picked. However, for the price the arrangement should last at least 7 days - it was very pretty and arrived today but the red roses in the arrangement are obviously a week old and will be dead by the end of the day tomorrow and the carnations are not as old but won't last a week for sure. Giving this place 1 star because I can't give it 0 star. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE SERVICE. So I order through a website online and this was the florist that arranged the flowers. My order was supposed to come with 6 different types of flowers but when delivered, it only came with 3 types of flowers, not to mention the colors were wrong. My bouquet is a mixture of pink roses/carnations with white lilies and it came in red roses/carnations and white lilies. I called the website to ask for an explanation not knowing who the florist was and they offered to give me a refund and I still get to keep the flowers (this was a surprise flower delivery for my mom's bday to her workplace). An hour later, I get a call from this place saying they're gonna come to my mom's workplace to take back the flowers and I asked them who there were and what was going on and they started YELLING at me not letting me explain to them what the website told me. I had no idea they were the people who arranged it but regardless I told them that this had nothing to do with me, that I just ordered through the website and if there were any mix ups with the order or whatever, they should contact the website they work with and that's between them to resolve. And these people still continued to yell at me demanded that I return the flowers and threatened to call the police. Needless to say, worst people to do business with. I had intended to write a review at that time, but forgot. Although I am not really a flower person (balloons rule), my husband really likes to purchase them for me. DO NOT USE FLORIST AT WINDWARD FOR INTERNET ORDERS! I am not satisfied with the service at Florist at Windward! The staff was clueless as to the status of deliveries and deliveries aren't made as promised, even after repeated phone calls to verify delivery status. I had ordered flowers and candy for my mom for Mother's Day 2012. I made the order on the Friday prior to Mother's Day via BloomsToday.com. The order total was $89.00. The only reason I got to the BloomsToday.com site was because I had googled 1800flowers and hit the first link thinking it was 1800flowers. They misrepresented themselves. I should have known better, but I thought that 1800flowers was using BloomsToday as a partner company. Now I know better. Anyway, I asked BloomsToday for the local florist who would be making the delivery. They told me it would be Florist at Windward. Being the thorough person that I am, I called Florist at Windward to verify that they received the order. I talked with Anna, the manager. She had and promised delivery on Saturday, the day before Mother's Day. On Saturday, the day of the supposed delivery, I called Florist at Windward again to verify delivery because I just had a bad feeling about this. Anna was vague about the delivery status. I had a feeling they had no computerized delivery tracking system or database of what had been picked up by which driver. After pressing her for information on the delivery, she said she would have to call the drivers to verify they had the delivery! How's that for efficient operations in the 21st century! Anyway, she asked me to give her my number and she would call the drivers and call me back when she found out about my mother's delivery. She called back in about 5 or 10 minutes saying the delivery was enroute, but she couldn't say what time it would be delivered. Ok, so I'm alright with that, thinking my mom would get her flowers the day before Mother's Day. Around 4pm or so, I called Florist at Windward again to verify delivery because I had called my mom's house and no delivered had been made. Anna said that the drivers were still out and the delivery would be made. I knew in my heart at that point my mom wouldn't be getting her delivery. She never got it. I even called Sunday morning on the remote chance they would make a Sunday delivery while my mom was getting ready for church and she said she had not received it. HOW DISAPPOINTING! Until Florist at Windward upgrades their delivery system don't use them. They could at least have a paper list of which drivers had which deliveries, or maybe even an Excel spreadsheet with the information...that's if they own a computer. As a software consultant with master degrees in business and computer information systems, I believe the rush of Mother's Day orders overwhelmed their primitive methods for tracking and making deliveries and they overcommitted to making deliveries they could neither track properly nor logistically fulfill within the promised timeframes. I hate to bombast a company like this, but they need to understand the consequences of poor customer service. read more

I ordered online and I understand that every florist website or store says that if a certain arrangement isn't available, a comparable arrangement will be substituted. That being said, the flowers that I got (in May, not exactly a difficult cold month to get fresh flowers) were very different that what I ordered. I sprung for a deluxe (the most expensive version to be sure there were plenty of flowers) version of an arrangement that promised blooms exploding out of a vase with very little of anything else. What I received was a tall vase full of fern and green filler with I'd say a medium (at best) amount of blooms that kind of resembled what I paid for. Make sure you are in a store with eyes on an arrangement that you want BEFORE laying down any cash! read more
