Food was delicious. We had one of their flatbreads with vodka sauce and it was amazing. Nice drink selection and i love that they offer mocktails. The service was friendly and efficient. Really pretty atmosphere.
Always hear about this place from my mother in law/sister in law and while in the area I was like lets go! Burger was delicious, boy loved his food and a really cool looking place. I'd definitely come back here. I can totally see why it's so loved by other family. Casual place too which was good considering we came from the americana and just didn't want to fancy. Service was great also. I really need to try the truffle burger next time.
My first time coming here as I was visiting in from LA. I liked the ambience and overall aesthetic Publicans but was a bit taken back why my friend brought me here because she kept saying the food and service was not that great, so I didn't say anything (I should have though) when she suggested it for dinner. I ordered a local beer which was ok, in fact it reminded me of a Corona beer but I had no issues with the server/service. My friend ordered nachos, which was basic tortilla chips with ground beef, some melted cheese, and a few Serrano chiles on top. Basic but lacked flavor on the meat and could have used more toppings. I ordered the chicken meatball sliders and they were good! An order of 3, with bbq sauce and a little tiny amount of slaw. Probably could have used more slaw but I did enjoy the taste of the meatball. My friends BF ordered a steak that came with a tiny amount of broccoli and some potato wedges. I tried a wedge and it was ok but he sent back his dish and one of the sliders because it had a hair in it. The restaurant was nice enough to take it off the tab and then we left. If I lived in the area, I'd have given them a second chance just to try other things off the menu because I really liked the ambience of Publicans but sadly I don't think I'll make it back to the Manhasset area anytime soon.
I really like Publicans decor. Great place to watch a game. There are plenty TV's around and on a Saturday afternoon there all in different college football and NBA games. The food is pretty good. Burgers were made well and I had one on a pretzel bun that was very tasty. Their cauliflower general Tsos us DELICIOUS. Hands down the best thing I had. The service left a bit to be desired. My friend and I arrived separately and it took a long time for him to be acknowledged and then seated while I waited to be acknowledged when I walked in and I never was. We also noticed water was brought to the tables around us while we were never asked if we wanted any. Small things to some, but can make a big difference when it comes to repeat customers.
The brunch experience here is so fun on the weekend. If you order any entree, you get a complimentary Mimosa, Prosecco, or a Bloody Mary with it. There's even a bottomless brunch feature for a few bucks more and it's good for an hour and a half. We were watching a March Madness game on the TV as we were sitting in view of the bar. Lots of top shelf drinks I might add. And back to those drinks, they pour heavy and generously so it hits ya. Bloody Mary, Virgin or not, just very peppery. And it has a kick that will knock your taste buds for sure. Food from the Brunch Menu: - Shrimp and Grits with chorizo, has a really reddish color this dish and it's very flavorful. Hubby liked it and attacked the shrimp first, tails on BTW. - Kiddo enjoyed the Breakfast Nachos. He saw my photo from my first visit and had to order the same. It was ginormous. Even with three of us sampling, we couldn't finish and wrapped it to go. It was loaded with cheese, scrambled eggs, pico and guacamole. Delicious. Guilty pleasure. - Donut French Toast, my other kiddo enjoyed it. Comes with fresh sliced strawberries (we asked for it on the side though) and topped with powered sugar. It looked like a French toast bagel by design but totally tasted like a donut. Sweet and delicious. Fun food but I don't think I'd order it again. It's a sweet tooth kind of dish and more for the kids. Great portion though. - Salted Croissant burger with fried egg (sunny up) and a side of fries was my choice this visit. The salted croissant was amazing as I've never had one before. I enjoyed the flavors meshed together. The bacon and runny egg with melted cheese, burger patty medium rare, hit the spot. I enjoyed every bite of this sinful brunch burger. What a treat. Coffee is good and they were good about refilling it when we asked. Service was a little slow but they were quite busy as the bar dining area was full, back room/private room was occupied as well (private party) and a few main dining tables open but otherwise, Saturday Brunch at 1:30pm, it was busy! Parking lot in the back is shared by all the businesses on the block so do not be alarmed if it's full. We parked on the side street but do read the signs, there were quite a few rules and times noted on when/where to park. Solid spot for bar grub and drinks. Great food and come if you're not in a hurry.

I felt a little bit out of place as I was here alone; everybody was part of a group as I sat quietly at the bar a few people knocked into me accidentally and then surprisingly looked at me as if I did something wrong. Odd vibe. Great bartender; the house Publicans brew was truly amazing, I really enjoyed it. I also had a pretzel which was very good. Thanks Publicans.
That brunch burger is something else. Runny egg and cheese sauce, mmmmm. What a perfect way to start the day! The chicken waffle sliders were another solid choice, perfectly fried and juicy piece of chicken. I suggest adding some hot sauce along with the maple syrup, really takes it up a notch.
Came for Friday lunch - after some initial confusion with the menus (server gave us the brunch menus which were only available for Saturday) and re-viewing the dinner menu, I got the chicken verde tacos. The portion was very generous with the large chunks of chicken meat and creamy guacamole. I'd love to come again on a weekend for brunch, as their menu options looked delicious (and some even super indulgent)! read more
Very nice local bar/restaurant with a great weekday 4-6pm happy hour offering. Nice selection of drinks, bar bites and all day menu. Very spacious with courteous staff. Only remark is having a two year old running around the bar area throughout my time there. Not sure of the rules and regulations but im almost certain a toddler shouldn't be in the bar/happy hour area. Maybe just me, maybe it's ignorance on parents. read more
Casual local bar with great food. I've dined for both brunch and dinner, both times it was a good experience. Reservations not needed Waitress was friendly and attentive. Large portions, everything was delicious. For dinner we went to watch a game and ordered every appetizer on the menu! My recent visit was for brunch Salads are HUGE Chicken and waffle slider wasn't slider size, it was a sandwich cut into 2 - regardless it was delicious, served with fries My cousins had the burger which is served with an egg on a everything bagel, they loved it Shrimp and grits were very tasty, needed more grits Cinnabon dessert was amazing. Looking forward you having a nice meal with my wife on a Sunday night 21 minutes For the way did it come back without drinks we ordered food I order beer didn't get a glass didn't have a glass for water that was on the table wait acceptance appearing for long periods of time how to get to other people to get me a check ridiculous horrible service so hard to just pay attention there's not a lot of people there is three servers and 21 people how hard is that to pay attention Services all about paying attention to anticipating guess these before they ask for it not having guests beg all the time to get service and the bathroom disgusting I know what happened here used to be great one of my favorite places never go back read more

I've never been so proud to be a foodie! What an amazing place, you can hang by the bar have a quiet dinner or come hang out. Super clean and up to the Covid norm you can't go wrong. The drinks are awesome, there's something for everyone. The food where do I begin with the food?! The chef put love in every plate it's nothing short of perfect. I just moved to the area and this is our new go to spot! One day I went for brunch and the French toast was lovely. It was soft with just the right amount of syrup and plenty of strawberries. Another time I went with my boyfriend and we got the wagyu meatballs and they were to DIE FOR! They just melt in your mouth and they didn't feel heavy. Hands down would recommend again. The burger I got was also delicious with a side of perfectly crisp French fries. I promise we'll be back soon! read more
I really like the atmosphere in the restaurant. Has a rustic feel to the place. In Manhasset, there aren't many food options. This definitely has to be one of the best options in Manhasset! The service was good, but what really sets this place apart from the competition is it's general tso's cauliflower. It's a vegan substitute for general tso's chicken. I love it. It is perfectly crisp and the sauce they use is heavenly. If vegan food was always like this I think the transition wouldn't be difficult at all! The Bavarian pretzel was fine, but definitely some room for improvement. The main thing being that the pretzel was very hard when eating. Taste wise, it was great! But struggling to break and chew it was a bit of a letdown. The mustard that came with it was great though! Otherwise, I would definitely come back for the cauliflower. I'd love to give the pretzel another try in a few weeks to see if they've made any improvements. read more

The newest and hottest in manhasset, Long Island. (10 minutes away from the border of queens) This place has one of the most amazing and yet different types of bar food with tastes of Asian/American/Italian mix that will blow your mind! This is the perfect place for a causal dinner and drinks with friends or coworkers after work. read more

I've been to this spot prior to them changing ownership, always though it was just mediocre. Came a few weeks ago during COVID and was pleasantly surprised. Their whole menu has changed! I got the rose sangria, which was light but also a huge serving! We decided to get a bunch of small plates to share. We got the Wagyu Beef Meatballs, BBQ Bao Buns, Guacamole and the Carne Asada tacos. The buns and the tacos were way too salty in my opinion. The beef meatballs were definitely my favorite; flavorful and juicy. You can't ever go wrong with guac! They're generally pretty abundant on tables all the times I've been, so I don't think a reservation is necessary. The waitresses are cheerful and make the experience! read more

I've been here once before the pandemic and I had a good meal then too. This time I went for Saturday brunch and there were some people enjoying a meal with their families. I had the breakfast burger which was delish. The fried egg was perfectly runny and the pretzel bun perfectly toasted. My mother had never ordered shrimp and grits before but she definitely will now. She enjoyed every last bite. I like the rustic decor of the place. The service was friendly and efficient. read more

Veggie tacos and the red oak cocktail were delicious. My friend had the spicy shrimp tacos and loved it too. Service was great, we sat by the bar and Alex was outstanding. She was attentive, great convo, made good recommendations and checked on us to made sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely be back soon. read more
