I am give it a 1 star I wish I could give them no stars Hi, I would suggest no one buy the orange door insurance policy. I am very disappointed in the policy. I am also unhappy with the storage that I rented for 9 year. Not only did the price increase from 150.00 ending in 398.00 a month. I decided to move out due to the price. once I saw rat drippings I decided to file a claim. I started moving the storage unit and it looks to be infected with rat poop and urine on all my items. I had to dispose of everything. I have pictures and video of everything. I thought I would get reimbursed once I filed a claim. My policy which they suggest you get when you sign up for the storage, was for $3000.00, lo and behold it will only give you $250.00 for rodent damage. I rented a climate controlled storage unit for two years. I also purchased the orange door insurance. When I went to remove my belongings and vacate the storage unit, I discovered rat urine and feces all over my belongings. Their insurance limits loss from vermin to $250. They denied my claim since they do not cover furs. I am American Indian and a bear robe, feathers and other sacred items were destroyed. What a joke of a company. When you walk into the climate controlled storage area, it reeks of rat urine and feces. Management clearly does not care and they lie to you about their insurance and that it will cover everything! read more

Easy to get set up - expensive to keep. You have to have insurance and this year they raised their rates ($260 for 10x10 + $13 insurance). My belongings had rodents and bugs and water damage. Most of my stuff ended up destroyed and the price was ridiculous. I picked it bc it was close to my house but they had weird hours and there usually wasn't anyone available on the property. Do Not Rent here, if you have other options. It has become a lounge for homeless and vagrants. Unloaded a 26' truck today with no cart-even though the facility has them. The vagrants had them loaded and used as a door stop to hold the doors open for over 30 minutes; security doors that require a code to access. Thus, the security was now nonexistant. There were three vehicles parked under the canopy with people just sacked out in them for almost the entire 1.5 hours it took to unload-because we had no cart! . Taking up space in the loading zone-must now be a loafing zone. Beer drinking, yelling, fighting, then wandering through the halls with no apparent real business. We've complained, and management does nothing. The place stinks of cigarettes, pot, body odor, and today: a dead animal. Can't wait until we are done renting here. read more

Do not EVER rent from this place. Rented storage here and in less than 3 months we went back to get something out and there were rat droppings everywhere. Tore through all our stuff and ruined everything. My whole house was in there with brand new items. Called and were told there was a rat infestation and we were never notified. She then proceeded to say that it's just a precaution and there isn't one but before there was no traps outside all units and now there was. I'm absolutely disgusted with this place. So on a Sunday afternoon we got to drive to five different Public Storage locations to find a human to help us. Now 3 months later we're moving out and they call us to tell us that we can either move out in the next 48 hours or we can pay for the entire month of August when we are scheduled to move out on the 4th because they "don't pro rate" but somehow they were able to pro rate when we moved in. No garuntee on price for any period of time, they seem to raise the price arbitrarily, for no reason other than to squeeze more money from you, knowing very well how hard it is for most people to switch to a different storage facility. We had a 10x10 storage unit here for almost two years. It was clean and felt safe and the office staff (particularly Gail) was very friendly and helpful. It was very expensive ($220 a month for a 10x10) and over a $100 more than our current unit in Eugene, Oregon (although I assume prices are inflated since it is so close to Portland). A bonus for me is the location - it is right off of I-5 and just down for the street from Goodwill so you can easily work at reducing the amount of stuff you have (which was a necessity for us since we wanted to stick to a 10x10 and not have to pay more for a 10x15 or 10x20). read more

Then after being promised a full refund they refused to deliver. They will steal from you. Do not go there. They are crooked as a question mark. Bad service. Run around. Spent hours on hold with the corporate office and weeks later after still never being able to move my things in and losing not only all my stuff I can't get my money back. These people are criminals. I went into the office yesterday to get some boxes for my grandsons move from Eugene Oregon and the staff was very helpful Cindy actually recommended some foam inserts that they have that conveniently fit into the small boxes I was purchasing. They will also work so conveniently for my antique dishes I have currently stored in my garage collecting dust. By the time I was about to leave I had to many items to fit in my car and I didn't want to scratch the interior of my car so I asked if my grandson could come in today and pick the items up in his truck and a staff member named Joaquin put all of the items in one area for my grandson so there would be no confusion when he arrived. I would highly recommend this company for the convenience and the very pleasant staff that they have there. read more

Over the past couple of months I have been in and out of this particular facility several times while helping a family member transition a move from out of state. The reason that's important is that I have been so impressed with the staff's customer service which is so rare today especially in a business like public storage. ...I assure you that I can be a difficult and needy customer. The staff has been so kind to say the least. They are always friendly, smile and answer every question I ask in many cases saving me not only time but also money. On a couple of instances, I've called to ask them to do simple favors and they always help. I've used many a storage unit in my time but this by far is my fave! It's off the beaten path enough to not have to deal with traffic but not so secluded it would be a mark for thieves. The set-up is straightforward easy to maneuver around in. Prices are a bit steep but it's like that everywhere so the other perks make up for it!
