This is the worst storage place ever!!! The, so called, manager is never available for me to pay my rent. I've been there several times trying to pay the rent with no one in the office. I've called a few times leaving messages with no return call! I'm 82 and cannot pay in line. They take cash or check and nothing else! Won't take my CC nor my Debit card or I could have paid it on the phone! In this day and age almost all companies take a card for payment! Then one time when I was there, I was knocking and a half dressed man came out of the bathroom so I immediately left, not knowing who he was nor why he seemed to beiving in there! Please be very careful with this company!! NEVER will I ever use this company again!!! read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars. The storage units are INFESTED with rats. It is a known problem and both the onsite management and corporate management have zero care and take zero accountability for the problem. During a move we stored our house furniture here for six months and almost everything is ruined and had to be taken to the dump. DEAD RATS were found inside the unit, feces and urine stained our couches, chairs and rugs. We had to throw most of our belongings away. With a 1.5 year old child at home we couldn't risk having bacteria and viruses enter our home. Our professional movers said they'd never seen a rat infestation this bad in all their years of business. They were disgusted. We tried multiple times to get any sort of response from the district office and all calls and messages went unreturned. The onsite manager said they know it is an issue but it is not their problem. I've never met a less helpful or empathetic organization in my life. We're out thousands of dollars. Please store your belongings anywhere but at Public Storage. read more

Do not rent from these people! They constantly raise their rates to the point--as my husband said--for the price they're charging they should be delivering breakfast to us every day! Worse, though, we went to get our stuff out, and *everything* was covered in rat poop! We had chewed on items. It was disgusting! Well, how it says on all the other reviews I just got my stuff out today. There was rat shit throughout all of my stuff I had to throw out my couch, a huge throw rug and so many other bags of clothing that the rats crawled into there was a smell the moment you open the door unbelievable for the price that they CHARGE and they have the audacity to raise the rate so much. The families can't even afford to keep up so then they lose all of their stuff. Luckily, that was not me, I was able to get my stuff out and take it to Langer storage In Sherwood the cleanest and best place you could ever take your stuff and very affordable a 10 x 10 is only $175 a month give or take seriously, even AC and heated And supporting a local family this place is an absolute dump. A nightmare experience over 2yrs Problems: 1. Everything is FILTHY always 2. DANGEROUS. Twice I stopped people braking in. Called security for the place and they said they dont get paid enough to do anything. 3. Manager an hour late for 1st showing & never returns calls. 4. Half the lights are burned out. Bring a flashlight. 5. Homeless people hang out there often. 6. They increased my rent from 70$ to 90$ in my first four months there. Until I posted a bad review and they lowered it to 60$ if I took it down. 7. Only way to get ant any service is call the district manager. Who is a decent lady. My last day there they locked me outta my unit ten days before my rent was due. And the district manager called me saying someone said I was sleeping in my suburban so they were terminating my lease. I was there less than an hour watching an episode of madmen before going to sell something I sold on Offerup. When I told the DM that she said she was also terminating my contract for doing business on the property. Which I never said and wasnt goin to do. In the end she did agree to not lock me outta my unit, which I was paid up for, if I was willing to have all moved out within a weeks time. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Extra space storage costs less. And Storage Quest actually has onsite bathrooms with someone there during the day seven days a week. read more

This location has a rodent issue. Management is aware, there are traps all over the place. Their insurance, orange door, is a joke for situations with rodent damage. Avoid this place at all costs. There are better, cheaper and cleaner places around if you look. read more

I tried to close out my unit but the office never had anyone in it. I was charged on the second of the month, after vacating (based on when the gate was last used). No refunds for any reason and since I vacated, I could no longer use the unit. You're welcome for the free $202 plus lock fee!!!!!! PS spiders and rat turds with rodent holes in 2 boxes. Used them 8-13-22 to 10-1-22 and paid $472.42. Read the small print! read more

Rats got into my storage unit. Rat feces and urine is currently covering the majority of the moving boxes in the unit. It looks like the rats also ate holes through some of the boxes. The monthly payment doubled in the span of 2.5yrs with my 10x15 unit now costing $340 per month. We are moving to a different storage site!!!! read more

Don't rent from public storage. They raise the storage fee every 6 months. Our last increase was an additional $100. They treat new customers better than existing customers. There is no reason for these outrageous increases every 6 months. I was told that it is done by their marketing department in California. They won't listen to requests for reductions. Find a local company to rent from. At least you might get better customer service! read more

That happened on the middle of June 2022. I got ahold of police and a different manager from diff. Public storage came to see what information she could find recorded in the office about it. For weeks we tried to get ahold of the manager their. The other manager was even pissed. She couldn't find anything recorded, that should have been. Stay clear of this property. If I could give this place no stars, I would. They said they reversed the charge for the whole month they were charging me for being late one day. Then, I get a letter from collections saying I owe this debt. You can take me to court, I'll be there. What a horrible, despicable company!! I lives NYC, and i visited parents house at Portland. So, my parents made contract with this place. Storage may be OK. However, employee (lady) attitude is very rude and hostile. When we made contract, lady told us, storqge open for 24 hours. However it was not true. We made our visit on after 7 pm to use our storage, but employee ,(above mentioned), yelling at us, its not business hour, and we SUPPOSED to visit during the office hour. read more

What terrible service and out of control pricing. We have been in a 10x15 for a 18 months, and monthly rate has increased over $100. We are not paying close to $300/mo. To make it worst the fluorescent light inside the storage unit has been out since June and the management/owners refuse to fix it because they want to do LEDs throughout the properties. We have to have a working light to use this larger unit. It isn't optional. Appalling. read more

Do not rent a storage space here! Major rat problem and no one has been notified of this major health and safety issue. The amount of rent paid here should include notifications when something like this is happening. The person on duty at the time was nice and tried to be helpful, but upon moving out of my unit, admitted there is a huge rat problem. I had to pay a company to come and clear out my ruined covered and secured furniture, I was told someone would be in the office from 1:00-6:00, they did not show up until 2:30. The unit a few down from me (Building D), was also cleaning out an entire unit full of ruined items. I paid insurance on my unit monthly, but after a week of my claim being filed, I still haven't heard from the "Orange Door" insurance company and zero reimbursement of anything has been offered. My unit was also clean, contained zero food, and every precaution was followed to keep my belongings safe, it didn't matter. Based on the rat droppings left behind, the rats are well feed and quite happy living in this location. Public Storage, you should be notifying every one at this location of the rat problem instead of "hoping to find the problem" soon. This location is disgusting. read more

Amanda was very professional and kind. She took her time and answered all of our questions, (even my question about gorilla storage) explained the contract and helped facilitate our lease of this unit. I wholeheartedly recommend that Amanda be given a 50% raise. Alas, all I can give is this song. They require you to buy insurance, tack on an extra $11 per month. They require you to buy a special disc lock. Tack on an extra $17. You can buy this much cheaper elsewhere. Ditto the mattress covers we purchased from them, which were more than 50% cheaper at u-haul. Bottom line: there's no such thing as "1$ for your first month." However, in spite of the lack of honesty in advertising the customer service at this franchise still made it worthwhile. . read more

Rent is outrageous compared to other similar storage facilities. At one point I wanted to move to another unit in the same complex as it had easier access for my trailer. They insisted on charging me more money for the same size unit and would not budge. Now they are increasing my rent $50 dollars out of the blue. I would not recommend using public storage and would suggest doing everything you can to find a private storage facility. read more

Love this place for storing my items! Very clean and well secured. David was extremely helpful, very professional and gave us the best options. They have a wide variety of packing materials in their office to make things easier! Along with great security of needing a code to get into the area. Along with keys of getting into the units and having enough space to park ones vehicle to help with transporting. The storage units also gives you options whether you need a large or smaller one. Couldn't say enough about this place except if your needing a place to store your personal belongings this is where you need to go. read more

We just got our 10x20 storage unit and am happy so far. David is great to work with. He got us checked in quickly and was very helpful. Our unit is a bit moist and has a musty odor but I also understand that we've had a lot of rain lately so I'm hoping the upcoming nice weather will help out. That is the reason for four stars rather than five. I would gladly give five stars to David's customer service. That sort of customer service seems rare these days. You may want to note that the $11/month insurance requirement is not actually as it seems. You are just required to have insurance to cover your belongings and Public Storage has made it available to you if you don't already have it. Check your renters or homeowners policy as you may already be covered. I was - so that saved me the $11/month. I also opted to buy a lock at Home Depot for $12 rather than the $17 lock offered to me. I was VERY appreciative that David did not try to force any extras on me. He made sure I knew they were available and that was it. Overall, the value for the money seems to be very good. read more

I researched a few other storage companies and determined they are similar in features but there can be a price difference even within the same company. In my situation I was able to move my reservation from another location down the street in King City and save on the price and I was able to get the promotion. The in store price is not the same as the property price so a reservation is recommended. It seems like the lease is longer then buying a house but as I learned, it is a binding agreement. The month to month lease gave me the option to leave should things not be as they appear. 4 Stars. read more

Don't do it!!!!! I called around and did my due diligence and this company swooned me!! I needed storage for 2 1/2months and everyone I spoke to with in this company told me that we would only pay for the time we needed. We were bombarded with emails and finally went in and checked out the space. The guy "selling" us on this space was obviously very well trained and like the 2 other people I had talked too from this company said we would only pay for the days we were in storage. We moved in and I went to pay for the last 15 days like we had been told was what would happen and they charged me the whole month. The man I spoke with on site was very dismissive to me and ignored me when I tried telling him about what we were told over and over. He was such an jerk and didn't listen to what I was saying so I payed (like an idiot) and left and have since sent 5 emails and called multiple times. Not even a courtesy response from this company. No one has responded and as a small business manager I see this as horrible customer service. I gave them a week and still no response and after talking with a lot of people all whom said it was my duty to warn people of these practices and to seek other storage!! I wish that I had read the reviews on this site before we found this place because I would have defiantly gone another route. So frustrating and so unprofessional read more
