I have been a customer with public storage for the past 12 years. In less than a year they have gone up on my monthly rate over $100.00. I spent 2 week leaving voicemails at this location and NEVER got a return phone call. It was drama trying to get a hold of the district manager and going through the corporate office was a nightmare. When I finally got them the answer I got was they were to busy to call me back. Be warned they will go up on your rate when ever they fell like it and will not care about you being a long term customer. Shame on them! read more

I started renting here in March. When I scheduled my move in it said I would get the first months free. So when I get there they take me to the storage, give me the key for the lock and then we go back to the office to finalize everything. Long story short they take forever to finish everything because my name, just my name no other information was on as someones emergency contact. I was not associated with that storage otherwise. So they wouldn't let me have my first months free rent and I end up paying 1.5 months rent that day. It was the beginning of the lockdown and I was not risking not getting a storage. They had the nerve to smile at me and ask me to give them a five star review for helping me. The AUDACITY of these people. Then three months later they raised the rent, but whatever I guess we are in a pandemic I am not gonna change my storage over that right then. I scheduled a move out for January 1st, if they were not going to be open on the 1st why would they schedule it that way? They were not there so I was like whatever I'll come back Monday. My stuff had been out since the middle of December but I was not available to go myself to move it out and my fiancé did it so I decided to schedule the return of the key when I was available. On the website it says when you schedule a move out in the month that you come to the office and they will refund for the days you are no longer there. So I assumed that means I'll either be charged for ONE day or not be charged at all. Nope the rude blue haired girl wanted me to pay the whole months rent for January. Not going to happen. Let me also point out that in the beginning of December I had been there and she was coming off the elevator not wearing her damn mask that they have signs everywhere masks are required, I guess not for Princess over here. Have been renting storage units at this location for a few years. Gave them a 5-star review in early 2015. Unfortunately, with the expansion of the location, service deteriorated at least in my experience. I moved to a smaller unit in early April but still am waiting for a promised refund two months later. Contacted to office 3 times by phone and in person and was promised a call but so far that has not happened. Great experience 2 years ago but lousy customer service now. read more

Horrible customer service. Buildings falling apart. Disgusting facilities. Sizes advertised are "approximate," not accurate.

I moved in to a 12x12 unit on Jan. 6th, 2015. They advertise for $1 for your first month. There's also several fees that you also have to pay (I actually ended up paying over $30 in order to move in). That 'month', however, is only until the beginning of the next month, and you are required to pay on the 1st, regardless of the actual date you moved in. Of course, they don't offer that information up front. The unit was clean & the parking wasn't too difficult. This is the best I can say about them. In July, my rent suddenly increased from $157/month to $192/month, and the only warning I received was my emailed bill. I called and asked, and they said it was standard procedure. I made arrangements to vacate the property on August 31st, and was directed to also go online and verify my vacate date. On Sept. 3rd, I received another bill for a prorated amount of $12.13. When I called to ask about it, they stated that they verified my move-out on Sept. 2nd, and that's what the bill was for. When I showed evidence that I had arranged to move out on Aug. 31st, they said that since I hadn't stopped by the office (I had, actually, but no one was there at the time), I had to pay for the two extra days. When I made a complaint, they gave me the number to their collections department, but I was never able to get through, only to voicemail. Obviously they do this, counting on the fact that most people will just pay the fee, as it's not worth their time to dispute it. Customer service is definitely not their priority here. read more

Was a customer at this place for over 2 years. I rented an air conditioned unit starting around $180/month and after 2 years the rental fee increased to $230/month. On occasion the elevator was not working :-( which turned out to be an inconvenience. The staff at this Public Storage is excellent. The reason I gave them 4 stars is because we found another place that rents the same size air-conditioned storage unit for $159/month. read more

Just rented a 5x5 via the website, had an appointment with Erika (Erica) and she pretty much took care of everything. From showing the unit, to paperwork, to explanation of everything she rocked. She was very professional and friendly. Felt very welcome as a customer here. Highly recommend it. The place itself was very good, clean, well lit and felt safe. Feedback to owner - The front keypad to punch in the gate code is showing wear and tear. May be it is time to replace some of the keys. read more

This facility is the Hilton of Public Storages. Roomy, nice, clean, and with multiple people working at the front office. I stopped by the PS a mile away on Arques, but the tiny office was closed with a "back by 10AM" sign. So then I drove over to this one, and I was amazed at the difference. When my husband and I first found this storage facility, it was NOT owned by Public Storage. The takeover happened the first year and be forewarned, this place increases your rent substantially EVERY year, and not 5% or the CPI, it goes for 10% to 15% and higher, even during the Great Recession. It is a very clean facility, however, do not expect any help to get light in your unit after the bulb burns out. The first 3 years, someone replaced the light with a ladder while I was there. For the last 2-3 years, we have no light and have repeatedly asked for help in getting this done. The staff and the District Manager continue to say each year that they do not have a ladder (after making millions of dollars off this location) and the fact the light is 10 feet in the air. They would be happy to hire someone from the outside, but no can do so on weekends (when you do not work) and therefore, you would have to allow them to enter your unit without you being there. There are many other storage facilities, climate controlled like this one, out there, NOT run by Public Storage and who raise their rates at a more moderate pace and amount. Interesting they always say they are full, when in fact on our floor, there are dozens of empty units. And we often talk to other very unhappy clients. Thus, we are planning to leave this place as fast as we can after being there way too long. read more

This is better than a five star hotel for your treasures. The place is neat and clean, very well maintained. The staff there is very friendly, a great sense of customer service and will go out of their way to help, specially Kelly with a "y". Highly recommended... just don't go there if you have junk to store, go to another place, I would not want bugs getting to my treasures! read more

Since my last review, this place has taken a nose dive in quality and price. I rented a 10'x10' back in May of 2015. I was moving from a 5'x10' to a 10'x10'. They couldn't give me a special rate because I was a current customer, but the price wasn't TOO bad. It was in their shiny new building, which was nice. During the next few months, the building got more and more full. The place is constantly crowded, people fighting for elevators and push carts, the parking lot full, and piles of abandoned crap (don't they have cameras?!). The last straw was when they locked the bathrooms in the new building (there is a still a bathroom at the front office) and chained all the push carts at the front office, because of the claim that people were not returning the carts and the bathrooms were a mess. Shortly after this, they raised my rent $20. When I complained to the parent corporation, they waived the new rent for the next three months. I don't MIND paying more, but I DO NOT want to pay more when the quality of service has FALLEN. The last time I went to the place, one of the doors down the hall from my unit looked like someone had tried to break into it, and the elevators sounded like they'd seen better days. I would highly recommend that if you MUST rent here, that you stay at this place no more than a year to take advantage of intro special pricing, but then jump ship after that as soon as you possibly can. read more

There are a lot of storage places around this part of Sunnyvale, and this is probably one of the better ones: clean, friendly staff, and a reasonable price. You can reserve a space online (though if you do it a couple weeks ahead of time like I did, they won't really reserve it, they'll call you a couple days beforehand to let you know what is available). They also have both outdoor and indoor storage. read more

I was very pleased with the service I got from Zenon today. I rented a unit and the process couldn't have been easier. I got the walk through and all info needed for my daughters storage. They have great access hours and the units appear very secure with card In/out and alarms and zone access..Great deal here with the move in special. Couldn't be happier. read more

The property is okay, but they feel a bit scammy. When I moved in they were advertising "first month $1", but there was a move in charge that is basically the first months rent. They also make you buy insurance on the unit which increases the monthly rental price. Their website shows a 5x5 is $62 a month, but with all the extra stuff on the bill I pay $94 a month. read more

I signed for a storage unit in March & Russell (store manager) asked that I write a good review. He asked me a couple of times. However, I don't write reviews until the end & only if I feel people really may need to know helpful things. This particular office is terrible & won't have my business again. I will openly direct people to steer clear of it. Why? Bc they have the most ridiculous office/gate hours, unhelpful/unprofessional staff, & strangest dolly set up. GOOD LUCK if you want to get into the place during business hours. When I moved in, Russell told me I could have "an extra hour to move things into the unit". So, I had after hours access until 6pm. Which I didn't need. The unit was inside, on the 2nd floor. I constantly had moths in my unit. It was annoying. Another frustrating thing is that if you need a metal dolly to move your things... You must drive to your unit, walk ALL THE WAY back to the front office, give your drivers license, get a key, unlock the dolly from a chained fence, push it all the way back to your vehicle, then when you're done push it all the way back to the office & then walk all the way back to your vehicle. There is NO easy way to get a dolly. The staff aren't the nicest. Russell is a jerk. The last straw for me was when I moved back to CA 4 weeks ago (on a Saturday & work started Tues morning) & I needed to get things from my unit before work started. I now live 3 hours from the storage unit. I left at 1pm, GPS said I'd get there at 4.plwntly of time, right? Well, I hit wreck after wreck & didn't get there until 450pm. I called & called updating them on my ETA, telling them how much of an emergency it was that I get things out that I needed for work. Russell was rude & said I couldn't be there after 5pm, that I'd hafta drive back up the next day! When I brought it to his attention that he had offered me an hour extension when I moved in just 2 months back, he wasn't having it. He didn't care. All I was asking for was 10 extra mins after hours to load up. I can't just turn around on my 4 HOUR drive one way, just to do it again the next day. I was so mad that I had a friend meet me there & we packed all of my belongings & immediately stopped business with them. They are terrible, rude & unprofessional. They do what they want & the office hours completely suck. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. read more

I'm very disappointed with this public storage facility located at Stewart Dr. They are very dishonest. When you sign the contract, they are very friendly with you, and even tell tell you that the monthly rate (rental unit + insurance) will be same even though is on a month to month basis, and that as long as you pay on time etc... you don't have to worry about price changes or rent increases. However, the reality is different, we just got a huge rent increase and to our surprise units in the same location with the same size and features are being rented for $70+ less than what we have to pay. We even called customer service 1-800 and they were so rude and did not care about negotiating the rate or keeping old rate, even tough we are loyal customers and pay our bill on-time all the time. The rude rep even told us that rent increases can happen at any time, and that if we want to continue with the unit, we have to pay the new rate. They offer way better rental rates for 'new customers' only. However, what's the point of getting those good rates, if they can raise the rent whenever they want to? That's a ripoff and very dishonest . This dishonest public storage facility does not care about loyal long term customers! all they care is about charging you as much as they can! read more

It's been almost a year since I reserved my 9'x10' and, with the exception of the elevator being broken once, I've had no problems storing and accessing my stuff. Recently, I moved again from a 1-bedroom condo to a 3-bedroom house, so I no longer need as large of a storage space. I stopped in the office yesterday to downsize my unit to a 5'x5' and both Erica and Pedro were friendly and helpful in making the transfer a breeze. Thanks again! read more
