I rented a 10x10 on Staten Island in Nov 2024 for total of $137.00 / month which was a great price. This facility is very clean & secure. I wanted to pay a year in advance but was not allowed and I now know the reason. It turns out that they are prone to increasing the price approximately every 4-5 months. It went up to $191.00 in Apr 2025 and then to $260 in Oct 2025 which is insane. Everyone I spoke to at the facility has the same situation. Needless to say I moved out because I am sure that in 4-5 months the pricing will go up to approximately $310-$320 / month. read more

The site is easy to access and I was able to provide all my information online didn't have to go to the office and went right to my space. All the information was sent to my email and text it to me. The process for renting a unit was so easy. I was able to reserve a unit online and move in within the same week. The staff was extremely welcoming and made the process painless we were able to view the unit to make sure it fit our needs before moving in. The one thing that I absolutely loved about this place was how professional and friendly Jessica and Casey were. Our scheduled move in time was for 11 am of course we we're running late due to typical Staten Island traffic Jessica called to check to make sure everything was ok and if maybe we were lost we arrived almost an hour late they still accommodated us answered all and every question we had. In my last storage unit in N.H. the roof collapsed and we didn't find out until we went to pick up something from the unit a box of precious keepsakes was ruined due to mold naturally this is now a huge concern of mine- we were able to purchase a top notch insurance plan that would cover our belongings in the event of a accident. Jessica assured us we would be notified right away if anything like that happened. The storage buildings are well lit each unit has their own alarm and outlets nearby. There are a lot of exits and freight elevators can hold ALOT making moving / storing very easy. read more

My husband rented a storage unit 8.5 years ago. He is deceased and I have been paying the rental fee monthly via online banking. Now because the online banking cycle doesn't match their payment cycle they have started charging fees on fees. Yesterday, they threatened to auction my husband's contents. They are auctioning his contents for abusive fees of $135.60 when I pay almost $350 per month. In 8.5 years the payments I've made add up to much more than $135.60. I've filed a complaint with the BBB and with the Consumer Fraud Protection Agency. Very abusive fee policies in place for this organized and I will go to litigation should my husband's contents be auctioned. read more

I don't know whether it is the Staten Island location or the company but the one in SI is horrible to deal with. They increase your monthly fee whenever they want with no notice. I had it increased 2x in a year. So if you have an automatic payment set up, you believe you sent the correct amount. the following month they tell you they are selling your things because you did not pay the full amount the previous month and added late fees. So I removed the automatic payment option and yet they did try to charge a card on file with no authorization (?). Of course my bank noticed the duplicated transaction because public storage tried to process a payment and i sent another one manually not knowing they tried to process one too. I decided now am looking for a different one. read more

Beware! Unit was broken into 2x within 4 months! My unit was inside, but...No inside cameras!! I'll be taking the remaining things out ASAP! Insurance company is a joke too, and you have to take mandatory! read more

Came here on a moving day to load two of their largest available AC controlled units for two separate accounts. The woman in the office named Casey was incredibly rude to my family and I. She acted as though we were an annoyance and wanted nothing to do with helping us. Even though we reserved two units and called ahead (Speaking with Jessica) , Casey told us there was only one large unit in inventory. After having 3 moving trucks arrive with two houses of stuff, she miraculously found the other unit after giving us all a heart attack. She spoke to us with disgust and a incredibly unprofessional manner. When we asked her to escort us to the units she huffed and puffed. I have since left THREE messages with the district manager named Gus Stathokostas and he has not returned any of my calls. She also would not honor the promotional pricing we were promised on the phone with Jessica. Also, see the attached photos of the broken security gate allowing anyone to walk in as they please. This is unacceptable and the customer service is unacceptable. I am placing a complaint with the main corporate office as well as BBB. I would advise to stay away. read more

I've rented rooms here before. Nice clean facility. What prompted me to write this thought was the lovely young lady at the front desk. Her name is Casey. Besides being extremely competent knowledgeable and efficient at her job she was pleasant courteous and respectful. To keep this simple.
