The day of my move Victor and his crew Showed up to my home, I walked the house with Victor and showed him everything that they were moving. The only two things that I had not mentioned to Carmine were a single twin mattress and a single full mattress (no furniture with those sets just mattresses) which other than the extra mattress pads it should have added several minutes to the move. I saw a change in Victors personality and I didn't underStand why because I was very nice and explained I was going to buy them lunch. My husband who had been making numerous trips to the new house with loose personally belongings comes in and I hear Victor downstairs instantly telling my husband this wasn't going to be a 4 hour job because I have him taking out garbage. Me hearing this, I'm completely surprised so I approached the situation and told him I never asked you to take out any garbage at which point his disrespectful attitude came in and he was arguing with me. Wish I could say the move got better, but his attitude was horrendous. The whole entire time being passive aggressive pounding up my stairs to which my 13-year-old daughter asked me what his problem was. When we got to the new house, his attitude didn't change either and got into an argument and was disrespectful to a family member and said she should have respect for the movers and get out of his way. She was accidentally in the past, but he could've easily went around her and he didn't have to be a nasty individual. But it was when I spoke to my neighbor that all the pieces of the puzzle came together because she told me that they were outside complaining how the office understaffed for this job and I'm not saying they didn't record because they did but I had the wool pulled over my eyes because the office understaff then and then hit me with a $400 overage at the end of the move. The movers left all my boxes in the living room , they didn't put my bedroom set together, so I ended up sleeping on the floor and all this aggravation and having to pay 400 more. Well, I'm gonna say is if you decide to use Verrazano movers make sure you have them come to your home and give you an estimate because they will wholeheartedly pull the wool over your eyes and financially take advantage of you. They've lost a customer and I will no longer recommend them to anyone.

That is an outrageous increase and feels like nothing more than a bait-and-switch pricing strategy. Offering customers an attractive introductory rate and then dramatically raising the price a few months later is misleading and takes advantage of people who have already gone through the time, expense, and inconvenience of moving their belongings into storage. The company knows that once your unit is full, most people won't move everything again over a rate increase. There was nothing about my service that justified this increase. I paid my bill on time, yet my loyalty meant absolutely nothing. This business appears to prioritize maximizing profits over treating customers fairly. If you're considering renting here, think twice. The rate you sign up for may have very little to do with what you'll actually be paying just a few months later. I would never recommend this facility based on my experience and will be moving my belongings elsewhere as soon as possible.

I wanted to pay a year in advance but was not allowed and I now know the reason. It turns out that they are prone to increasing the price approximately every 4-5 months. It went up to $191.00 in Apr 2025 and then to $260 in Oct 2025 which is insane. Everyone I spoke to at the facility has the same situation. Needless to say I moved out because I am sure that in 4-5 months the pricing will go up to approximately $310-$320 / month.

Now the factors that matter most in selecting a mover, are in order, 1) staying true to quoted price (no sudden several hundred dollar up-charge at point of delivery with your belongings hostage in their truck like some too-low-to-be-true priced advertisers out there, 2) professionalism & competency (showing up on time, pleasant throughout, hardworking, nice people), and finally, 3) a reasonable price. Pete and his two sons were excellent in all areas. I conferred with Pete on items I estimated (number of boxes, large items), about 10 days out, we agreed to price, a time, and they came ready to help as agreed! I added a few items a few days prior and it was okay. His two sons are nice gentleman, hard-working, pleasant personalities, expedient, and careful with our belongings. I really appreciate their service. They handled our 550 sq. foot apartment, king mattress, box spring, lamps, bikes, table with such care, even assembling our bed frame on arrival. The price we agreed to is what I paid. You'd think these are expected qualities in a service provider but in NYC, you don't get reputable movers who care about their, well, reputation. This company does and I would hire them again in a heartbeat for a future move. Thank you Pete and your sons.
