We had to deal with a mouse infestation across the basement level at the 524 West 23rd Street location during mid-December 2022. There was an overpowering decay-like odor coming from a nearby unit for at least a couple of weeks, yet management didn't take any decisive action, which led to the infestation affecting more than a dozen units. They moved us out of our unit and into an upper level, while we literally dodged mice running back and forth between units. Their apparent lack of concern and zero urgency to deal with a public health hazard is totally unacceptable. They just gave us masks and gloves to deal with the cleaning ourselves. Even worse, over $1K of our property was destroyed by the mouse infestation due to management's lack of activity for weeks. Once we discovered the infestation, we immediately asked to submit an insurance claim and were told by the employee on site that they were out of forms and we should email later. We have emailed the loss details multiple times to management and while they eventually confirmed receipt, they have otherwise ignored our insurance claim (3 weeks and counting). Avoid until they get their act together (if that ever happens).

CS Managment did do anything either so I was just out on many fronts... To top it all off, as many have already said, they increase their costs too damn often it's insane... sure understand things increase but this is ridiculous... such price increases don't even make sense except just price gouging and feeling like they are holding us hostage in a way! I feel it is also secure. Cons: They constantly raise their rates usually around 16 to 24%. On the unit I have, they just raised the rates (again). From last February 2024 to this February 2025, my rate has gone up 42%. When I first moved in, they had seven carts to help you move your items. Four have gone missing and have never been replaced. Now when I go there, I sometimes have to wait awhile for a cart, or leave and come back. And last, of the two elevators, one seems to go out of service every so often. I can deal with the elevators and the carts, but the steady increase in rates is too much for me.

Most of my belongings were saturated and ruined and I had to throw them out. Storage Post offered no compensation and even insisted on full payment of rent due til I gave up the unit at the end of the billing period in mid Sept. I was told by a mover that the building also flooded during Sandy. I would not recommend this facility, even on the higher floor, as i assume mold is present throughout the building due to the ground floor damage.
