I would not recommend this storage facility to anyone storing a valuable vehicle. During heavy rain in Houston, the parking lot flooded badly enough that my limousine sustained significant water damage, costing me over $5,000 in repairs. A storage facility in this area should absolutely be prepared for the kind of rain and flooding Houston regularly experiences. After this happened, I decided to move my vehicle to a different storage facility with better conditions. Since I would no longer be using my space for the final month of my contract, I asked if they would refund or prorate the remaining time. They refused. So not only did this facility contribute to expensive damage to my vehicle, but they also showed zero flexibility or customer care afterward. Very disappointing experience overall. read more

The office is NEVER open. I have tried over the last month to speak to someone in the office but no one is there. I received a notice that my rate was going up from 118.00 a month to 140.00 a month. In the past, I used to go in and Jesse would bring my rate back down to it's original amount. I don't believe he is there anymore, and now, no one is available to do this. In the last couple of weeks, my debit card was compromised and I had to get a new card. Since I was set up on autopay, this gave me two reasons to speak to someone in the office. But, again, no one is ever there. I tried to log on through their website, but got a message that my password was incorrect. I tried to reset my password, but never received the reset email via email or reset text via phone as I requested. I then called the 800 number but was not able to get anyone on the phone and had to use the automated system to pay. AFTER making the payment over the phone with my new card, the system told me that I was being charged an extra 10.00 for making the payment over the phone. Several hours later, I received a text message from Public Storage informing that I am being charged a late fee because I have not made my payment. However, my bank account says otherwise. I am forced into giving a star rating, but Public Storage on Cypresswood gets zero stars, as does Public Storage in general. I will be moving my belongings before March 1st. read more

I survived Hurricane Harvey to be screwed by Public Storage. I lost almost everything, including my house, in the flood. All that I have left fits into a 7x14 unit. It was hard to find a storage unit. Kingwood was full. Had to go to Spring. The front desk person Terri helped me find a climate controlled unit, but claimed "corporate ' would not let her waive the $24 open fee, despite my explaining the situation. Reservations also told me that the location manager was three one who could waive it. They run specials all the time, fee waived, $1 first month. This is a perfect example of taking advantage when people are down . read more

Warning: Do not store anything of value! Manager spends most of the day pretending to be busy outside in golf cart. He is looking for halfway closed latches on units that he can open. He told me so! This is why the phone goes unanswered 90% of the time, he says he's busy doing his job but the parking lot always has mud and nails and screws everywhere. His best friend is a locksmith, visits him during the night when you are not allowed on the property. They couldn't wait to get their grubby paws on my belongings, it literally was a race to get my stuff sold before I got there after Memorial Day. He warned me he'd get my stuff, that's why the winning bidder bragged that he is willing to go over $10,000 to get unit 505. Jesse was always up in my business when my unit door rolled up, looking at this and asking about that. I knew this would happen, my 15×40 unit packed with my tools and collections, everything I aquired in life is now GONE!! He wasn't even scheduled to work the day of the auction but he was right there with his buddy all hyped up on the stuff he does, drooling on my all of possessions that he spent so much time asking about. I had that unit for 6 years and always paid my storage, sometimes late but they profited from it $52 for late fee per month plus $76 lien fee. I was always reachable because I am a convalescent care nurse residing downtown, they have my address but ZERO notification was sent! Jesse is a criminal and I can prove it because I did whatever shady things he told me to do. He would panic if he thought district or regional management was on the way, telling me to keep quiet. I am going all out on this one, the took everything I own. Look at the solicited reviews, it's all about Jesse and how wonderful he is, there is hardly a mention concerning the actual company. How fake is that!?!? His name is front and center of every review on G maps. I traded anonymous reviews for 24 hr access and I will prove it in court along with all the secret work I did for him, trying to avoid the inevitable. read more
