I have never encountered a company more unwilling to work with someone. I have been a customer for quite a few years. I had a check charged back to me which caused my payment to be returned. I do not give out my card number to anyone. I took them a replacement check which they refuse to accept. I have had numerous price increases. I tried to get a fee waived just once and they absolutely refused to even consider it. If you need to store some items someplace, pick a different company. This company is the worse I have ever encountered. Absolutely the worst customer service ever. read more

The General manager, a lady with short hair grey hair, had the worst attitude and costumer service I have ever experienced. It seemed like she was about to punch me because she got in my face when I asked her to repeat a question- I asked politely. These people are crooks. The advertised prices you reserve online ARE NOT what is offered when you show up to claim the reserved unit. Management will also hike your rates up by $10-15 every 6-8 months while keeping their advertised prices the same online. BAD! Lastly, if you are one day late on your bill... They will cut off any pad locks you have on your unit and replace them with their own (thus locking you out of your unit) until your bill has been paid. DO NOT LEASE HERE! read more

DO NOT put your items at Public Storage San Pedro. I had a unit for around 2 years, and the last two months I discovered it had been infested by rats and roaches, yuck! I was upset, I called immediately and was reassured by the Property Manager Felicia who told me I had an insurance policy for up to 3,000, though my items totaled to around 8,000. I filed the claim and then got bad news, the insurance only covers up to $250 for vermin and needed proof of damage. I called and Felicia gave me the number to her District Manager, Brian Gates, who I now believe does not exist due to the hundreds of calls, voicemails, emails I have left with NOTHING in return. When I went to my storage to get photos for proof, I did not have access anymore to the gate and no one was in the office. Today, 11/13/2019, is when it got even worse. You would think that after filing this claim they would assume I am moving my things out immediately, but I was told my account is "delinquent" for one payment which is maybe 5 days late, if that. I told Brett in the office that I needed the corporate number, he gave me a number and I called, followed prompts... and in the end it ended up going to HIS PHONE right in front of me. He acted surprised. I told him he needed to call someone who can help me, he informed me everyone is at lunch 1:30-2. It was around 1:45, so I told him I would wait... THIS PISSED HIM OFF. Why? Well, while waiting he answered two other customers who also had complaints and wanted the number for corporate because they NEEDED HELP. He gave them the same number he gave me!! Right after I told him it was the same automated line everyone uses to reserve/customer service, right in front of me. He called 'George' twice, no answer. I asked him why he was brushing us off, because at this point it was "his lunch" and he was trying to "escort us out", how nice. He got so mad, he even called the cops, and 911 basically told him they weren't going to come to the facility for this BS. He thought it would scare me into leaving. Got in my husbands face, accused us of harassing him, when we have a right to be there and a right to be complaining after everything that they have put us through. The customer that he gave the BS Customer Service number calls back at this point asking if he can just move out. Brett keeps raising his voice at me, still accusing me of yelling when he is literally talking over me. Saying "I don't have to deal with this". And I'm like, YOU work here what am I supposed to do! This place is a disaster, save yourself the heartache and DON'T rent a unit here. read more
