Facts: I came to my unit November 6th to acquire winter clothing only to discover my unit had been burglarized and vandalized. The office personnel were not on the property, but I reached an individual the next day by the name of Samantha (Since terminated), who informed me that my unit was discovered without a lock on November 1st. She explained that someone had attempted to contact me [A lie- I have had no missed calls, voicemails or emails on the matter.] and promised to review the camera footage and compile the applicable paperwork for me then she would call me back. I never received that call. I returned a week later and was given keys to the replacement lock the property provided, along with the paperwork. (I've been very busy and unable to wait the now hour plus I've been waiting for an officer to be dispatched to place my report.) I returned December 4th and used that very key I was provided by the property to unlock the lock the property had provided only to discover my unit had been burglarized yet again!!! Two new office employees were available, one from a different location and one in training. They informed me that all the previous staff had been terminated, that they do not know how to access the camera footage and that they have been getting yelled at and confronted by other disgruntled renters who also have had their units broken into. While here today, speaking with yet another employee as I await an officer to submit my police report. I am being told that there have been no other reports of burglary recently at this location. Literally, as we were discussing this, another gentleman comes in and expressed his very recent experience of having his unit burglarized. Just facts....Take it for what it is worth. Awfully suspect to me. This is not the least expensive storage in the area...and most certainly not the most secure. Do your research. This property should not be one you consider.

However, my experience with YSP has been an exception to the latter. Ever since the first phone call when I set up my first two units with YSP, the staff has been exceptional in their help, advice and flexibility. I am now renting unit number five from them in my preparation to move abroad once again. They have always acted in ways that serve my best interests rather than only being concerned with their own needs as I have found other storage facilities often do. They are willing to go the extra mile to insure I want to use continue to use their facility. In my history with other storage facilities, the reverse of this attitude has often been my experience with the facility operators usually threatening the fact that they have waiting lists, yada, yada, yada. The units are actually smaller in my experience. I actually ended up measuring a few units after already being charged for the unit and signing the contract. Once I measured about 4 of them after already being charged and signing a contract for the unit it became apparent that the units are actually 9 x 14 size units not as they advertised for a 10 x 15. The only reason we got the unit was for the advertised size and well unfortunately it is falsely advertised. It's unfortunate that we had already signed the contract and paid for the unit because we really needed all the square footage that was advertised on their website for the unit. Any ways just thought that everyone should know about this discrepancy before committing to a contract so you can actually get the size you truly need. Make sure to have your measuring tapes ready to measure before hand unlike us.
