I have had nothing but issues with this stupid company! First, i reserved a unit back in 2019 online at another Public Storage with temp control.A rep confirmed my unit the day before and everything. Then i came the next day with all my stuff in a uhaul and trucks and the front desk girls told me they gave away my unit. I was PISSED! The girls are the desk told me there is nothing they could do and that i didnt confirm the unit. I had voicemails, and the emails for confirmation and they said they didnt have any of that on their end. So i had to go to this location on Hermosa last minute and while i was signing the agreement they said i had to get insurance and so i planned to get outside insurance but they forced me get their insurance for additional $11/mo. THEN COVID hit and Public Storage sent me emails periodically with threats that if i miss just ONE payment they would seize my belongings and i would no longer have access to my unit or stuff. (I have the emails saved in case there is a class action lawsuit in the future!). And i have NEVER been late on any payments nor missed any payments at all. I was even 8 months ahead of my payments. They never offered any relief during COVID like all other companies who allowed to miss or push back a payment or 2. Then the gate access box didnt work for like 2 years and they didn't say a word so i couldn't get in to access my stuff in my unit. Then since 2022 they have raised my unit price $60+/mo every year. Last year (2023) it was raised $63/month and now i just received an email that my unit has ben raise $67/month for 2024. Now my payment for my storage unit is more than my car payment. DO NOT use Public Storage. I have looking at other companies to switch to. read more

I haven't ever experienced such awful and non caring Customer service as I've experienced with this public storage location. On one occasion they invited me to come to the office in order to speak to them. When I reported trouble accessing my unit. And wouldn't you know they weren't at that office? They were at another location's office. They knew where I was. And yet they had me come to the office. Of another storage unit. If you can avoid renting a unit here by any means necessary. And they even helped lower my rate so I can keep the storage when I saw the rate go up!! Worst facility ever in my experience. App to open gate never worked more than 2 times for me. I complained each time I showed up because I was forced to park my vehicle and walk I to the office for access and was told that they were aware of the issue and working on it. This response never changed. Yet my payments were always on time....while my access was always inconvenient. I returned last Saturday 11/ 4 to remove my stuff and again i had no access...this time i was told that i could not get access until i spoke to the manager....whom i called repeatedly with no answer. Today, i got a call from the manager telling me he's terminating my lease...becaus i breached the contract by cursing and cutting the lock (on 12/30... which never happened).The last time I went there to remove my items was 11/4...once again the same thing. I was upset, yes. But I did say to the desk clerk at least twice that I understand this is NOT directly their fault, but that I just wanted to get my sh@t out. Well, this was enough to give them an excuse to add their own lock to my item on the last day of the month....pretty sneaky way of adding another month of fees and then keeping the cash. Also, I was trapped inside the gated area and had to wait for an exiting vehicle to gp out in order for me to leave premises. This is a safety hazard where this facility can and will hold ou hostage by giving and removing access. Do yourself a favor and use another business other than this public storage. They are liars, unprofessional, and thieves. For those people who work there....I challenge you to prove your allegations, have the video, yet choose to believe your incompetent employees. read more

My first time renting a public storage and was disappointed. Other than the free month, everything else was negative. No one is there most of the time during business hours, and hours to use the storage space is very limited (5pm !!!) And they are anal about it if you leave late. Can't even use the app to open gate. Rented a unit yesterday from Summer and Andrea. Transaction got off to a slow start but it wasn't their fault. I only mention it because of how well they handled it and got me on my way. Computers were down and instead panicking they told me the situation, I obviously worked with them like a normal person who understands this is not THEIR issue would, and we got thru it together. Not the greatest feat accomplished but when the world is ran by technology it's easy to crumble under pressure or turn business away until they can fix the computers. I didnt let them know I was on a time crunch or needed it done today, they just made it happen and for that I'm grateful. As far as the unit, got a stellar deal, the $1 first month promo is definitely what drew me in. Not to mention my monthly rate is also affordable. Unit was nice and clean, complex itself is well maintained and clean, they have amenities that other storage places don't which is also a bonus. Overall very satisfied with this experience. It was easy to get a storage unit. I did it all online and paid online and within minutes I got my access gate code and where the storage unit will be at. This facility is clean and the on-site manager was friendly and helpful. My unit was definitely bigger than what I expected. The value of the unit is definitely worth the price. Very accessible and easy to guide through. My first storage unit and I will continue to use this storage unit for the quality of it. Definitely recommend anyone who is looking for storage unit to go with this facility. If only it was 24/7 accessible to get to my unit, but still love my unit. read more

Would give no star if that was an option. My fiance has been storing his stuff here since August 2020 (the height of covid). Today we drove an hour to pick up some items from the storage unit and his code would not open the gate. We called the customer service number. Apparently they have decreased the access hours since we last were here a few months ago. They did not notify us. We have now wasted our entire evening and we really needed the access today. The new hours are also extremely limited and do not work for people like us working a 9-5 job. It is not what we agreed to in our contract. The customer service guy was very rude and unhelpful. Went on this public storage one day before I made my reservation to inspect the area. They quoted me for $68/mo. I decided to look more for the best deal the whole day. That night, I went online and made the reservation. The next day, I came back to confirm my reservation but they are giving me a space I assessed NOT SAFE. It was at the isolated, very back, dead end corner, with poor ventilation, and the automatic light did not light up for a while when I went inside, leaving me in total darkness. I tried to address my concern for safety and requested to get the one they have showed me a day before or anywhere closer to front area. They refused and dismissed to hear my concern. I politely requested to get the Supervisor for second and neutral opinion but Ashlyn claimed that she was the supervisor/store manager. I agree with other reviews about the attitude of the staff here. I did not feel the professionalism and integrity of this business. I don't TRUST that this public storage has your best interest, honest enough, and I don't feel the same quality of customer service I had when I was using the Public Storage in Glendale. I rather go somewhere else where I can comfortably place my valuables with more trustworthy and friendlier staff who knows how to listen to the needs of their customers. Don't listen when they tried to make you feel that it is the last Storage place you can find. Same day, I was able to find StorQuest Self Storage at 9419 Hampshire St Rancho Cucamonga which is a better location and closer to my place. Do not used this public storage they take your belongings and don't give you any explanation about your property loss the manager Stephanie, it's unprofessional and rude they don't want to paid for my property loss saying that you have to make a police report wish is impossible when they obstruct so you don't speak with the police . If I could give a 0 I would. I'm letting everyone know out there, DO NOT put your stuff in this storage. My Storage was broken into and they took my fridge, washer, dryer, mirror, bar stools, vacuum, 65 inch tv, 55 inch tv, boxes of clothes. I believe someone on the inside was involved. The person who broke into my storage, replaced the lock with another lock that looks like public storage and slapped a public storage sticker on it. Not suspicious at all? Yeah right. And it just so happens some of my stuff was in another storage. I have gotten police involved but they aren't doing much, public storage is not doing much. I have to rely on the insurance to try to help me out. I am seeking legal advise to have Public Storage reliable at some extent. It was a mess and I would never ever recommend this place again. I would highly recommend this Public Storage, even if you would other wise find another business like it closer to your location. The two ladies working there at the time, Lauren and Cassie, were a massive help to my mother, who was storing all of her possessions because of unfortunate life circumstances at the time. Lauren and Cassie assisted my mother with such an amiable professionalism that it left me both astounded and envious as I've been in the customer service industry for over a decade and have still not been able to hire employees with the genuine courtesy that these two young ladies radiated with. My mother is now back on her feet and was able to move into a nice home of her own, ending our time at Public Storage for now, but believe me, I will be coming back to this one. Very disappointing.... my husband and I are renting a storage unit. We signed up with renters insurance but after months of paying it and trying to save money anywhere we can (trying to get debt free) so we decided to cancel the renters insurance. We received an emailing saying the following month we will get an update statement to show our new amount.. I was expecting $15 less (not much but hey every penny helps when trying to get debt free) nope it's the same amount.. so now we have to pay the same amount but without insurance.. I say it's a crock of bull...... public storage is just out for money... the time of gate operations at least closing time is also bull.
