The indoor part of the facility used to be a supermarket or department store, so it is quite large. The whole place is clean, well lit, and the air conditioning is better than I expected. Nicely cool in the summer, and comfortably warm in the winter. My unit was on the end, right near the curbside door, but I noticed looking down the aisles that they are very wide, if you wanted to access your unit while the tenant across did the same, there would be no problem. The roll-up door worked smoothly, and the built-in lock eliminates having to buy or supply a padlock. There are always plenty of flatbed carts available. Not 24 hour access, but you can get in 7:30 am to 10 pm every day, holidays included. Office staff very friendly and helpful, and the managers live onsite. Even when the office was closed, a few times when I went to my unit, I saw one of the managers, so they don't close up the office and disappear. Although I didn't have a need for it, I noticed they have plenty of room for outside storage (like vehicles & equipment) and again, it is clean and well organized. If I ever need storage again, I will definitely return here.

Today their Black Friday sale is showing 50% off - which will not last if you sign up with them. The unit we used was off Sunset in Raleigh. I expect this bate and switch activity is a company strategy however.

They were very respectful and I wish I had stayed with them but I needed a larger unit and a closer unit. So I rented a bigger unit at the Maitland Dr location. First of all they make you get the insurance. There was no where for me to opt out so I paid for that. On 11/2 I received a voicemail to come and check the unit because it wasn't locked correctly. I said ok it can wait, it's not like anyone can walk to my unit off the street. On 11/3 I received an email saying the same thing..check my unit. This time I said ok we need to go, so my sister went and looked inside and secured the lock. Everything was good. The next time we went to the storage was on 11/28 to get the brand new tree and decorations I had ordered so we could get ready for Christmas. My sister called me and said the unit was empty. I'm like empty??? How??? So after I cried and broke down I called the property and left a message. The lady that called me back told me to file a police report, there was nothing they could do. They couldn't look at the camera footage or anything. I said ok and went through the process of filing the report. Once they assigned a report # I called the insurance that I was made to pay for, and filed a claim. That proceeded the worst experience I have ever gone through in my entire life. I spoke to 3 different people at the storage location, one got smart with me and started yelling at me. I spoke with a district manager and well as regional manager, the claims people and the police. None of them were helpful. I had brand new items in that unit. Over 4000.00 worth of things that were still in original boxes. Mostly toys for my niece, things that were personalized. Some electronics and things for the house. The property lied to the claims people and the directors. They told them that my unit was unsecured from 11/2-11/17 and that is a lie!!!! We fixed that lock on 11/3 and everything was still in the unit. I believe that someone at the Maitland Dr location stole my stuff. I am now in the process of having a lawyer take over because I am done and that is too much money to just lose. I don't have it like that. Use another company if possible. This whole experience was/is horrible

I had a terrible experience renting a truck from U-Haul for a one-way move from Raleigh to…read moreKissimmee and the condition of the truck was completely unacceptable. Shortly after picking up the vehicle, I discovered the radiator reservoir hose was broken, which forced me to stop and repair it myself just to safely continue the trip. A rental truck intended for a long interstate drive should never leave the lot with an issue like that. The steering wheel was not straight, indicating a possible alignment issue, and the front left wheel bearing was leaking lubrication, which caused constant noise and made me question the safety of the truck for such a long drive. Even worse, the cargo box leaked during rain, allowing water to get inside the truck and soak several of my moving boxes. Among the items damaged were law school books that cost approximately $200+ each, along with other personal belongings.Between the mechanical issues, safety concerns, and property damage caused by a leaking cargo area, this rental created significant stress and financial loss during my move. I am extremely disappointed that a truck in this condition was rented out for a long-distance trip. I hope U-Haul takes responsibility for the damages to my belongings and the condition of the vehicle.

I stored an entire living room and bedroom with lots of bags and still had room to spare. Their location is easy to see from the road. After you've secured your space, you back up the truck to the glass doors and start unloading. Heads up tho...the interior is kind of a maze. You'll need to get used to the puzzle quickly or your head will explode. You'll get a code to enter the facility any day/time before 10pm upon signing the lease. The price quoted around $60 per month. Sounds good on paper, but there's always a catch... First! Gotta buy the custom lock for your space at about $12. Well...okay. Second! Gotta buy insurance from $24 and up per month. Grrrr. Suddenly that nice, free month isn't so free, nor is your $60 per month lease actually $60 per month. Everybody wants to scam you or not tell you everything from jump. It's the nature of the moving beast. But, honestly this was one of the better deals I found.
