    cardinal Storage has exceptional property managers (Cindy and Dan). they look out for their clients. 20 stars for them!

    My original review was a 1 star. They (meaning the front desk) randomly changed my access point to…read morethe storage without any warning or formal update. I received an email yes but if I'm stocking and storing things away I'm not checking my emails. The situation was supposed to have been handled after Ms Linda explained to me that her pay would be docked for a 1 star review. She changed my access back I changed my review. Fair enough. The problem persisted. I was having struggles putting away all my items however I made sure to stay with my items as long as I could. Yes there were times I had to eat and use the restroom but for the most part trying to get things rectified to avoid any issues with said facility. A week later income to access my unit because I rented a UHaul to just move out and I'm locked out again. Once again no warnings. No update. No text message. I mean I made my first review and Linda personally called my cell phone asking may I change it. I'm unsure why the same energy wasn't reciprocated when it was time to change things around without my knowledge. For the second time they did this sneak attack. Now it's 8:59 am on June 5 and im still unable to access my unit. And customer service tells me my access point has been changed to manager hours 9:30-5pm. I've been here since 8, was on hold for 47 minutes, in that time I found out information from a customer service agent named Chyna thru the "message us" option. So there's issues that need to be addressed she stated. However when asked where the said issues documented she tried to dodge the question, eventually saying no there aren't any notations, just that they have to speak with me. Once again I've been here for 2 years. I stuck and stayed when my rent shot from 50$ a month to 80$ a month for a 5x10. However once I entered into my own venture at trying to open up my own consignment shop, which I've been very proud of ,to say the least, I'm getting all this push back from the employees. So Jason and I exchanged words two days ago. I I him I'm going to get a truck and I have until the 7th before I'm locked out so I'll be making my decision Monday. To no avail they lock me out early and give me this weird access. I'm appalled at the way they can treat a consistently storage invested client. I've been through alot over the last 24 months and my storage unit was a huge part of me being able to maintain my mental strength. Linda stated out of her own mouth I've been nothing but respectful and kind. So yes I took offense to being treated quite opposite because I have clothing piles in the hallway. But we're at a storage unit, and I'm trying to create space for said items to go into the storage as well as in taking things out. Isn't that the purpose of the free spaced to be utilized when needed. Lord knows plenty of my neighbors utilize it moving in and out but because I'm having a difficult time I'm targeting instead of assisted. I asked about a bigger unit and was told an off the wall price and that the 1$ first month wouldn't be able to be applied. This treatment is horrendous and outright degrading to the public storage name. Instead of helping they found a way to hinder. I'm moving out with all said & done no issue. It's time I move along because matters are only escalating at this point. A few noted points, I should not know that Linda loses 150$ for a 1 star review on google. We're humans we all have stories and struggles &&, yours aren't bigger than mine. Vice versa. Lastly there's no diversity in that front office. It's an all white staff that manage a predominantly black customer based storage facility. Compassion and kindness are not something that's thought about often during conversation. This review is just a heads up of the type of activities this facility partake in. As well as some insight to visual the type of immaturity Public Storage accepts.

It was originally $53.00 and now it is up to $84.00 with the mandatory insurance. I have always paid the storage fee before the scheduled due date and feel the increases in fees were never really explained. I use the space as storage for a small business but I will now take my business elsewhere.

I am overly struggling and overwhelmed at this moment. I am not looking for a handout but I just know that it is a major struggle for me right now and I am doing what I can. it is hard trying to get ahead of all bills at once. I called trying to get some help with payments so that I will not lose my storage. My grandmother passed away and all of her valuables are in my unit. Please someone have some compassion and work with me to get caught up as it is very important for me not to lose my unit. these are unforeseen circumstances that I am going through and I am holding on to my faith that I will make it out of this stormy moment in my life. I am not a person that looks for handouts and would just need some time to get caught up with the payments for my units. I am a little over a month behind and my storage unit does now have a lien on it. I am trying my best but do not have any resources right now. please pray for me and pray with me as it is very important that I keep this unit until I am able to find a new home to store my belongings.     I acquired a unit here in October of last year to hold Christmas items for my family. After being…read morehomeless for 2 years and going through we were blessed to find a home and I wanted to have a special holiday for my family. Especially my niece who is 5. Everything I ordered, mostly toys, decorations, brand new tree, new bed for my niece, electronics, some household things went into storage. Brand new. The day after Thanksgiving my sister went to the unit to get the tree and decorations and it was empty. Everything was gone. No one could help. The camera didn't show my unit at all, so that was no help. I spoke with the district manager and regional director and nothing. The insurance they make you pay for denied my claim. Almost $4300.00 worth of brand new items, gone into thin air. I am currently looking for a good lawyer because that is way too much money to let slide and I truly believe someone who works there took my stuff. Do NOT patronize this location. If you can't go to another company go to another location.

Told me if you want to save money pack as much of it as you can and we'll pack what's left. We packed up 90% of the house. There packers came to my house weeks later to finish and was there for 1.5 hours and charged me $850.00. After the move the price was $800 more than what was quoted to me because they said we were 3000# over the estimated weight price. I can see being off by 1000# but 3000#? When I contacted the "franchise manager" Chris of the Garner, NC office, he told me he would look into it. Waiting for his reply verbally never came. A week later I received an email from him basically saying " tough shit" and he charged my credit card. The balance of the move with the additional $800. What better way to get your business. They give you the cheapest quote and charge you a deposit then after the move is done they tell you your weight is more than they said it was. That goes for the packing portion also. If they would have packed my entire 2300 sq ft house how do they come up with $1500-2000 quote? It would have taken them at least 4 more hours to pack the whole house and would have been much more than quoted. These guys under quote there prices to get your business. When they do the job the price is considerably higher. Go with someone else. What is the purpose of a virtual walk thru when it means nothing to the final bill?
