Told me if you want to save money pack as much of it as you can and we'll pack what's left. We packed up 90% of the house. There packers came to my house weeks later to finish and was there for 1.5 hours and charged me $850.00. After the move the price was $800 more than what was quoted to me because they said we were 3000# over the estimated weight price. I can see being off by 1000# but 3000#? When I contacted the "franchise manager" Chris of the Garner, NC office, he told me he would look into it. Waiting for his reply verbally never came. A week later I received an email from him basically saying " tough shit" and he charged my credit card. The balance of the move with the additional $800. What better way to get your business. They give you the cheapest quote and charge you a deposit then after the move is done they tell you your weight is more than they said it was. That goes for the packing portion also. If they would have packed my entire 2300 sq ft house how do they come up with $1500-2000 quote? It would have taken them at least 4 more hours to pack the whole house and would have been much more than quoted. These guys under quote there prices to get your business. When they do the job the price is considerably higher. Go with someone else. What is the purpose of a virtual walk thru when it means nothing to the final bill? Since our original day was raining, Ezekiel helped us to rescheduled to the next day. We appreciated that change. On the moving day, Ezekiel and Carlton came late, we understood they had a job before us. The estimated time was 3-4hours, but we ended up having 7hours. They spent many time on packing our furniture carefully and we have many smaller stuff as well, so it took longer than we expected. We suggest to give a closer estimated time next time. They installed furniture quickly and we generally satisfied with their hard work. They should be one of the most affordable moving company in the area, so we would recommend to hire them if you have a small family moving job.

I made a HUGE mistake by hiring these movers on 7/19/2025 They packed up their truck with my belongings and as a result, they damaged my real leather couch and bent a tiffany floor lamp. They also messed up my how my bulbs hang on my Moroccan lamp. After the move I noticed that they didn't even bother to put the legs on my sofa bed and broke the piece that turns the sofa bed out. Now, ask me if I was reimbursed for these damages. The answer is no. I sent and they took 3 sets of pictures and I sent two claim forms at different times and still no response except to ask me to send it again, because they lost it. I simply got tired to me doing all the work. Nothing. Ignored. I have never been or felt so ignored by a company EVER. They're work is subpar. I should've hired another company, but I was just trying to patronage a minority company. They're quality was below average. They are overpriced for the quality of the work. They did not meet my expectations and even as I speak, I'm still finding nicks and scratched that were not there before. STOP and find another company. They're from New York They may change they're name. Be sure and vet them well. By the way they go by BIG MOOSE MOVING now and MCCOY AND SONS moving. They split up.
