I've now used Dakydes twice and highly recommend them. The first time I needed to move within the Raleigh area, I searched for a few different movers. By far every other mover I contacted provided a quote that was twice as much. I was moving from a 1 bedroom, 750 sf apartment to another 2 bedroom 800 sf apartment less than 1 mile away. Each of the other moving companies quoted me $700+ to make this move. I've moved similarly before and knew it should not be this much. Dakydes quoted me $500 and I had heard from a friend to use them. They arrived on time and had me moved in 2 hours for a total cost of $250!! They did scratch one item and showed me immediately. It was an item not of importance, so not a big deal. It's great to know that they owned up to it and didn't try to hide that they had scratched something. The second time I used them, they showed up late. I somewhat feel this is to be expected with movers, but wanted to share. This move required picking up at a storage unit, then driving 15 minutes to the second location and pickup there, with a final stop another mile away. With all of these stops and driving distances they were still able to complete the move within 4 hours. They were very courteous and always made a point to show me any issues with furniture before packing so I was aware they hadn't damaged anything. Although this was 3 locations as opposed to 2, the cost was still only $500. I highly recommend Dakydes. They are all around friendly, courteous, and efficient. Meh. I've experienced better is the perfect description of my experience. I used these guys twice and neither experience was amazing. The 1st was a simple sectional couch pick-up from a local furniture store to my apartment. I called them early in the morning and they gave me a delivery spot for the same day. The guys arrived about 4 hours late but they were held up by the prior move (slightly understandable). When they finally arrived they were very professional, let me know about some of the defects on my couch, and put it together at my apartment. I was satisfied with my experience and decided to use them again to help me move-out of my apartment. Once again, they arrived a couple hours late but they moved everything to and from my place in about 1 hour. There lies the problem....they chose quickness over care. My mattress was ripped and a wheel off of my storage cart was broken. It's small things that aren't too significant but my things were damaged and nothing was offered as a fix. I paid them in full and nothing has been revolved for around 2 weeks now. I will not be using them again. read more

This is the second time I have used Mike and his company. They did a great job and were reasonably priced. HOWEVER, they damaged my hardwood floors during the most recent move. No big deal I thought - they're insured, right? Either they aren't or he's the master scam artist. I'm in the process of filing a small claims court case against him as he has not responded to any phone calls, emails, or other requests to submit the damage to his insurance. I'M GUESSING THIS COMPANY IS NOT INSURED SO IF THEY DESTROY YOUR HOME IT'S ON YOU! read more

Awesome service! I received a call 30 minutes before my scheduled time for a more exact ETA, which was within my designated time slot. The two movers were fast, careful, considerate and friendly. All the padding and tape was included in the rate with no unexpected extra fees although I did go half an hour over my two hour minimum. This was still the best rate in the Triangle I was quoted for. I will definitely use Dakyes Moving & Delivery again and recommend it! Updating my review because sadly my second experience wasn't as good as the first. These guys were wonderful, from the beginning to the end. I don't have an easy apartment either. Fourth floor no elevator! They were efficient and kind and took great care of my things. And fast!! Great! I used Dakydes Moving and Delivery last month to move from an apartment to 2-bedroom townhome. Mike was very communicative leading up to my move so I knew exactly what to expect. Mike and his team from Dakydes moved an assortment of furniture of various sizes on January 3, 2016. They took great care in getting things ready and loaded at the origin location. Items were wrapped/padded as needed. The largest piece was a sleep number FlexFit king bed. They clearly had knowledge/experience moving this type of bed. At the destination location they were quick yet still absolutely careful unloading. They also moved and re-assembled a sleep number king from one floor to another and then put the FlexFit back into its operational form. No scratches or dents or scrapes - on the pieces or the walls or the floors. They were a bit late but had informed us early so this was not an issue. They called about 20-30 minutes prior to arriving just as promised. There were 3 guys and they moved quickly and efficiently. This is the first time I have ever used a moving service since my bf wasn't available to move the bigger item and I couldn't be happier. They constantly made sure everything they were doing was up to my standards. If I ever move again I would call them again. read more

Today I had the worst experience ever with this people. They simply don't show up, we had our apartment all packed and waited the whole day but nothing happened. We called the representative and time after time he promised that they'd arrive later. In the end, they sent a sms suggesting to reschedule without any apology at all. Unbelievable. Dakydes moved me on October 31st. They were prompt in arriving after I told them I had to get it all done in the morning since I was turning in my key that day. When we got to my new apartment they were very patient with me in arranging my bedroom furniture the best way. The crew was pleasant and courteous too. My little curio shelf broke during the move and even though it was old, it is sentimental to me as it was my mom's shelf. They took the shelf, had it repaired and personally brought it back to me. This moving company is TERRIBLE!!! I have to agree with Ximena C. I called Monday to set up a move on Saturday. I never got a call from Mike after I called several times I finally got a call back from Sharon or Shannon from the floral shop who assured me Mike would come but he was running behind. My move was scheduled b/t 2 and 4. At 3:30 I called Sharon back and she stated that Mike was still at another move, but they had 3 call outs that morning and it set everything back. She told me he would not get to me by 5 o'clock...unacceptable!! Where was I supposed to find movers this late in the day without getting my wallet jacked?? Sharon called me again and said a team from Clayton would come move me b/c Mike was "still at the other move"...He's now been moving these people since BEFORE 2pm...it's close to 6pm now. Long story short...the other team never showed, never called! It is now Thursday and no one has called to apologize, see if I'm okay, did I still need help...NOTHING! Terrible business and I will make sure to pass the word to as many sites and people as I can...DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE SHIFTY AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!! read more
