Writing an update as I used Carolina Kingdom's moving services once again for my 2nd move from storage into my apartment. Craig and his team was very responsive and easy to arranged the move with, but I am knocking down my review to two stars ("could've been better") given a couple of disappointments. For one, he and his team were unprepared to provide auto insurance to the storage facility for driving / borrowing the moving truck available to borrow from the storage facility. They did not have it on hand and the copy one of the movers had on file was expired while he struggled to dig up a more current version. To me and the storage facility owner, that was a red flag. He did eventually come up with a legitimate copy of insurance but for a minute, it looked like I would not be able to complete the move. Second, my desk was clearly damaged during the move. In the image attached, you can see how the leg stands were pulled on so that it detached from the table. I did not notice this was the case when I saw the desk sitting in the storage unit RIGHT before it was moved out. Nor did I see this was the case when the desk was moved into the storage unit a few months ago. Craig and his helper claimed they did not pull on this. But I do not see it that way given the observations I've held prior to the move. It is very easy to pull on the furniture this was because it is difficult to hold when transporting. I emailed Craig to kindly request a small reimbursement of $50 since I was unable to put the desk back together but I never heard a response. I am disappointed by the fact that they did not address this issue. I am uncertain if I will use their services again due to this mistrust. read more
