I have moved on many occasions (the life of an academic!) and this was by FAR the best experience I have had. I scheduled the move on relatively short notice and they were on top of providing a quote and getting everything together. The day of the move they showed up right on time. They managed to pack up the entire house in under 2 hours, and they did so with care and attention to detail. They made sure to explain each thing they were doing and to check in with me regularly. They wrapped everything, made sure to check in about anything that was fragile and were scrupulous. They pointed out when they found spare change lying around and made sure to bring it to my attention. They were done with the packing up before I could believe it! The move itself was carefully coordinated-- they took the time to check in regularly about where they were and how long it would take to arrive. They managed to unload everything and get it into the right places in the house in under an hour. They were careful with each and every item. After they unloaded everything they went carefully through the bill and the items to make sure everything was to my satisfaction (they came in perfectly as quoted without any shenanigans in the slightest--not my experience with other movers) and explained that their policy let me get in touch and receive compensation for us to 9 months if I found anything had gone wrong. They were professional and friendly at all time---a real joy to work with. Moving is incredibly stressful. Having done it often, I know that one of the things that makes it so is the sense that its very hard to tell if you are getting honest, excellent careful movers, and frightening to entrust all your things to strangers. I can assure you if you hire DSR, your move will be as easy as possible. This team is the best. My day started at 8 am today having not packed a thing and it ended at 9 already beginning to settle into a different state. This is one of the best customer service experiences I have had. If you are looking for movers, look no further. I can't recommend them enough. They even accept credit card!

I was promised they would be repaired or the dresser entirely replaced and have not heard from the owner/movers in a year. I even tipped them because I was in a bind and needed to move quickly. But as the old saying goes "you get what you pay for", this definitely wasn't worth the damage to my furniture and no additional follow-up. I would not recommend this moving company to anyone. Hiring two guys off Craigslist would be cheaper and would provide a better result. Don't use them…read more I wish I read these reviews before. I was moving and hired this company through U-Haul; seeing they were the cheapest option, I figured they could at least help us move our large furniture onto a truck. I booked them, and the company contacted me over the weekend, confirming they could help us move on Monday morning at 10:30 a.m. Come Monday morning, 10:30, no one arrived. There was no contact from them regarding lateness nor confirming again they were on the way. I was fairly patient and expected things not to be perfect, so I texted at 10:36 asking when they would be coming. Not until 11:00 (30 minutes after the time they confirmed they would help us) did I receive a text back saying they were finishing up a move and would come after. At 11:01, I asked for a rough time estimate of when that would be. It took until 12:00 for them to text me that they would be arriving at 12:30. Come 12:30, no one showed up, and no one contacted me to say they were on the way. I called the number again at 12:50, and the man on the phone was surprised when I told him no one had shown up. He said he would call me back. 15 minutes went by with no calls. I called his number again but this time he did not pick up. At 1:10, nearly 3 hours after the confirmed moving time, when we had moved nearly all our belongings down to the truck ourselves, we finally received a call from the movers Legacy sent saying they were parked a block away. The two movers who showed up were great. They worked fast, getting the last of the furniture, and were kind. However, when talking to them, I learned they were hired off Craigslist the day before (never worked with Legacy before) and could barely reach the moving company. Along with this, I learned the move they were doing before (the one I was told they had to finish up first) wasn't even for the company; they were moving a personal friend's stuff that morning. When I called the company number, Legacy did not apologize and told me that there was a two-hour minimum. They would not be discounting any of the price despite being three hours late and barely communicating. After all this poor communication, the movers and I lost so much confidence in Legacy that neither of us were sure if they would be paid. We ended up letting them wait with us an extra ten minutes so that they could use our wifi and confirm Legacy cash-apped them payment. That, the company at least did fairly promptly. TL;DR Do not use this company. They are just an uncommunicative middleman for hiring movers off craigslist.

Since our original day was raining, Ezekiel helped us to rescheduled to the next day. We appreciated that change. On the moving day, Ezekiel and Carlton came late, we understood they had a job before us. The estimated time was 3-4hours, but we ended up having 7hours. They spent many time on packing our furniture carefully and we have many smaller stuff as well, so it took longer than we expected. We suggest to give a closer estimated time next time. They installed furniture quickly and we generally satisfied with their hard work.
