I started Renting a Storage Bin on July 6th,2025. I was Notified Yesterday that my Bin was Broken Into (August 10,2025)! My Bin Door was Crowbarred Open and All of my belongs were Tossed Through and the Bin was a absolute mess!!!! The Manager explained that these types of events DO happen there from time to time, but what bothers me the most is the following: 1) No Video Surveillance available! 2) No Cameras AT ALL in ANY of the Corridors housing storage units! 3) No Effective Alarms! - Notifications were well after the event and was not discovered until a manual walkthrough of the facility!! 4) This is an Ongoing Issue that I was not briefed on when I signed up! 5) I have absolutely NO Confidence that this will NOT occur again! 6) Ownership refuses to put in a More Adequate Security System! 7) There is NO Overnight Security Personnel at this facility!!! 8) History shows the "Insurance" being paid on these units PROVIDE ABSOLUTELY NO BENEFT WHATSOEVER!!! WHY AM I PAYING FOR A LOCKED BIN WITH "NO PROTECTION AT ALL"! 9) OWNERSHIP NEEDS TO "TAKE OWNERSHIP" AND GET THIS ISSUE RESOLVED - It is a Repeat Problem! DO NOT STORE HERE. Property Mgr let homeless men in my unit, they went through all of my things, mentioned my baby pictures and "other precious keepsakes". It was mid-month so rent wasn't due for another 10 days. 20k dollars of items were stolen and Jacob Proffitt the district mgr laughed and said it "wasn't that bad" and this was after finding one of the homeless man's fleshlite (sextoy), a jar of urine, musty cologne, and a sus lotion bottle. Jacob was also overly concerned about his precious new leather slippers getting wet in a couple puddles. Chad Krasnow the regional mgr scoffed when he asked me "what is the price for you to walk away happy" then proceeded to offer me 5k lower than what was stolen. Nikki Rediker, the property mgr that allowed this is probably roaming free with just a slap on the wrist of being let go. I found my 6k couch in the dumpster and lucky I went the day I did bc trash pickup was THE VERY NEXT DAY. The two homeless men said they also took "several random boxes, a couple lamps, an organizer tote and a fashion design mannequin then threw it out the side of the interstate by the Watertown exit". When I tried moving out, my *new* code did not work, but another homeless man that lives there gave me his that worked perfectly fine. I've endlessly tried to work with Chad Krasnow and Jacob Proffitt with this and they are treating it worse than if it was a flooding. If they can terminate an agreement and wreck your livelihood, the agreement signed is null and void. This experience has been an absolute NIGHTMARE. My aunt also stores with them in a city on the outskirts of Nashville and has seen multiple homeless activity in and out of another unit too. I know I can't be the only one who's experienced this. These idiots upped my rent for no reason multiple times with no notice, put stickers all over my locks when I specifically asked them not to, shoddy maintenance (I had to install my own garage door handle), the management changed four times in three years, most of them were insufferable morons with zero reasoning capabilities, would harass tenants to leave them a good review on google, just overall terrible unprofessional people with subpar service and dirty unkept grounds and equipment. If this is the way all public storages conduct business, im sorry i had to find out the hard way. The lack of security is astonishing. Many units have been broken into in the course of months when I was a customer there. They will not care, dont hold any responsibility, and dont bother to call the police. Wonder why the manager drives a nice car? Renting from public storage has damaged the quality of my life and gotten my identity stolen. How this place exists and still operates as they do makes me ill. Also, if you are even a day late on monthly payments they will lock you out. Many other storage facilities are available with proper security in place. No excuse me, I have to rebuild my life because i was a Public Storage customer. read more

I have had the worst customer service experience with this Public Storage. I was quoted a transfer for 4 days after I stopped in (after I have been a customer for a year with no late payments) and informed I would not have to pay an administration fee, and that my transfer would happen without a hitch in a few days. I signed and left happy with my experience. I then got a phone call the next day from another person telling me that I needed to move that day, and not on the day I had agreed upon, or my reservation would be cancelled. They also told me I had to pay an admin fee. The district manager called me and was just as rude as his employees. He said they couldn't help me. I explained how bad the customer service I had received all day was and all he said was, oh well sorry. I had called him at 9:30, and he only called me back at 2pm. 100% satisfaction guaranteed? yeah right. Go somewhere else if you want to work with a company that doesn't treat you like crap. read more

Public Storage on McNally is a great spot not only for storage, but also for bands to rehearse and record. For about a year, my band split a storage space with a couple of other local bands, and I quickly realized we weren't the only group with that idea. Our storage space was indoors, and all throughout the hall you could hear the sounds of gospel, rock and hip hop acts rehearsing. For our carpeted space (which was about 15'x20') we paid a total of $300 a month. We were also able to leave our equipment there, knowing it would be safe and sound in the heavily locked facility. Public Storage has a gate that requires a security code for entry, and there is always someone in the front office keeping an eye on things. They have a cargo elevator and a dolly for everyone to use, and there is typically plenty of room for parking. While I used the space for band practice, I wouldn't hesitate to use it for personal storage. read more

I had low expectations for renting any self-storage unit, but was surprised with the smooth and easy the process. This Public Storage location is located in the middle of town and has surprising low rental rates. I started renting my unit on 08/29/2018 with Monica's assistance. She is a wonderful, polite and caring person. She helped me choose the right size unit and did a wonderful tour of the area. We had a great experieince at this location. The Manager was extremely helpful and even let me come see the space prior to move in. She was patient with my questions and friendly. I like the area where it is located as well. We had no issues on move in day. We would higly reccomend this location to serve for your storage needs. read more

This company is a PIEACE OF SHIT, had a storage for 3 years on time, sometimes I paid 3 months in advance 3 weeks late this month and I receive a email stating I own a balance after checking out. I called and they said they cut the lock and there vendor picked everything up, no notifications from them, the only pictures of my kids I had are now gone. 3 weeks late. Never late before. Rates had increased by 100% in 3 years even though it's located in the poorest neighborhoods. Public storage are scum bags and thieves read more

So I go down there and an employee is working outside in the rain I automatically like her for her work ethic she helped me out very super quick and helpful. I already knew polices and prices. Awesome staff that works there. I was quoted a different price over the phone by some rep in California but that is not the person's fault who worked at the local facility. The phone reps need to be trained better and be more upfront about the fees. That first month is not a 1 dollar. You are looking about 25-56 depending on the unit. Anyways the local rep rocked and made the experience better. She was awesome. The place is really clean. I would recommend it BUT call them locally and dont call their 1800 number cause those guys dont have a clue what they are doing. I kinda feel like I was taken. read more

I agree with the other reviewers, the staff here is very nice. As for Public Storage; 1. When given the unit, the light was hanging down from the wires. I was told that it would be fixed before I moved in. I arrived late with the movers to move in, it was not fixed. It was too late. I was moving in and leaving town that weekend, and my lock had to go on the unit. The safety hazard had to remain. 2. I can deal with the above. The deal breaker for me is less than 6 months after moving in, they have raised the price. They said that they appraise every 6 months and will likely go up twice a year. This is complete bogus to me. I selected the base on security, price and location. It went up by 20 a month, not a small amount. I fully intend to move out as soon as possible. It is not okay to continuously raise the price. read more

Public Storage really came in handy on such a short notice. After moving all my stuff out of the apartment I had to make a quick decision on where I was going to put it. I called around to find the best deal and came across Public Storage on McNally dr. And they even hooked me up with a great first months rent where I only paid $1. $68 for all the other fees such as insurance and start up. The gorgeous lady who helped me out, Angie I think it is, was so sweet and very informative. Whatever question I had, she had a legit answer to back it up so you know she's been doing this for awhile. Public storage rocks. Be advised this location has NO dolly, cart, or wheeled assistance of any kind as of Jan 2011. You will have to carry everything by hand, (or bring your own cart.) Also, the only elevator is an archaic freight lift. ...the old style with two pairs of door gates that all must be closed to operate. if someone leaves a gate open on the 2nd floor, you'll have to go upstairs, close the doors, then go back down. read more
