I rented a space here to park my car for a few months in fall 2025. When I cleared out my space, the person in the office said my pro-rated rent (25 days of 30 to be returned @ $220/months) would be refunded within 5 days. It was not. I called customer service to follow up on my refund and was told they did not prorate rent. This is contrary to what I'd been told in person. Had I been given correct information by the person working there, I'd have vacated sooner. I was also told by customer service that they would investigate this situation and get back to me but never did. $185 was a lot of money to donate to a company giving out incorrect information. this is the absolutely "worst storage company" on the damn planet!!!!!! specifically, in nashville at mcnally drive (but representative of all public storage locations).... please be warned!!!!!!! they are borken into "all the time (at least monthly) and refuse to do "anything" to enhance their pathetic security to protect your stored assetts!!!! ----- renters strongly advicsd to stay away at all costs from these total losers!!!!!!!!!!!! no cameras, no alarms, no security after hours! - just a walk thru the next day to assess the overnight damages!! break-ins occur about every 4-5 weeks (at least) yet all they do is replace the storage locker 'lock' and "that's it!!!! bins are easily borken into with a crowbar and are almsot all located in terrible/bad areas! they also force you to pay for "insurance" but if you have items stolen and do not have "receipts and pictures", you can forget about reimbursements!!!!! i moved out after two losses in less than 3 months - do not make the same mistake. this chanin is pathetic and tyhe local management "knows it", becasue coroporate support sucks and leaves you no way to reach them directly!!!!! entirely incompetent and unapologetically uncaring! again, trust me - stay away from these losers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Great customer service! We came from California to Nashville and had loads of trouble with our moving company. Long story short, we had to rent a storage unit because our truck arrived days before our move in date. As frustrated as we were, now having to deal with this, Mary made this part of the move flawless and easy! She was a sweetheart from the start over the phone, and was able help us figure out which unit would work best for us. I made a reservation online and checked into a 10'x20' storage unit on Friday, November 10. A very helpful lady named Shay assisted me with the check in process. She was very professional and knowledgeable. Before checking me in, she asked me a few questions about what sorts of items I'd be storing, which she explained was for helping to validate my choice of the size of unit I had reserved. She actually suggested I go smaller based on what I told her I was bringing, but I elected to keep the larger size just in case as I didn't want to run out of space in the middle of my move. In the end she was probably right, I could have gotten away with a unit one size smaller. I really appreciated her sharing her honest assessment and suggesting that a smaller-sized (and more affordable) unit would probably be suitable. She also went through some of the products they have onsite to help with moving and protecting your property and showed me to the unit and how to access the facility with my gate code. All in all the check in process was extremely efficient, and I was able to complete my move later that evening without a hitch. read more

I have had a storage unit for a year now here at public storage on elm hill pike. And have been happy up until June 4th, and for some reason the store was closed at 5:30pm when the sign clearly said Monday-Friday open until 6 pm. The gate was open and no one was there. The on site worker (Sha)was there inside I guess it was her apartment and I knock on her door hoping to make a payment and she said that I can't knock on her door that I needed to go to another store. She was very very Rude to me and another customer, she has no customer service skills. I went back over to the storage office today and it was 5:45 and at my surprise it was open and a very sweet lady (Gwen) was there and was very helpful and apologized for her Co worker's actions! I moved my stuff in December and everything went smoothly. I pay my "rent" early. Suddenly in June I see that my rent went up $19 for no reason! I called and they said that Corporate raised the rents and sent out letters. I got noooo letter. Now $19 usually isn't a big deal but I do not appreciate them just raising the amount I have to pay. Will they keep doing this? I will move my stuff as soon as possible and never use them again read more

I'm actually giving this review for Jennifer at this location. When I first got the storage, the employee on duty and two district managers explained that it was mandatory that I have insurance on my belongings. I questioned this several times as if I don't want them insured it's my own loss. They stressed more than once that I had no choice but to take the insurance. Upon further questioning, they said if I could provide proof from my homeowners policy that I'm covered, it could be taken off. I promptly find this proof and bring it the next day. This day, Jennifer is working and tells me insurance is not mandatory, which deep down I had a feeling. She was extremely helpful and made it a much more enjoyable experience. Can't believe what the others were telling me though. Maybe they didn't expect me to follow up on this and simply take the fee increase. read more
