I understood and acknowledged that I could not use the temporary paper license issued by the DMV. However, from the very beginning, the employee (Debra) was rude and dismissive. Her tone and demeanor made it clear that she did not want to assist me or my friend. She contacted someone named Mark Jones, and before anything could be resolved, I told her we were willing to leave and return with my friend's valid physical license. Instead of working with us, she insisted that I cancel my reservation and create a new one online. When I explained that I did not have a cancellation link and that she should be able to cancel it from her system, she became even more unprofessional and snotty in her response. Due to the poor treatment, I chose to leave and go to another U-Haul location. At that location, the representative was helpful, respectful, and able to assist me properly. Unfortunately, I later found out that Debra and Mark Jones had flagged me for "misuse of equipment," despite the fact that I never rented or used any equipment from their location or even rented a U-Haul in my life. I wasted 3 hrs of my only day off from school and work trying to fix this and even called corporate as I literally did nothing wrong. I have never experienced such judgmental and unprofessional behavior over something as simple as not having a physical license on hand. There was no reason for assumptions to be made about my character, and the way I was treated was unacceptable. I have worked in customer service for years and even managed one of the best spas in Nashville and could never treat anyone like that or make an assumption based on something so little to the point they are banned for doing nothing. Because of this experience, I will not be returning to this location and would not recommend it to others.

I'm a federal employee directly impacted by the current government shutdown, which has left me without income through no fault of my own. I'm currently three months behind on payments due to financial difficulties, and the shutdown has made my situation even more dire. I contacted Erica hoping to arrange a payment plan and offered to make a good faith payment to demonstrate my commitment to settling my account once the government reopens and I receive back pay. Unfortunately, Extra Space Storage refused to work with me and plans to auction my unit on November 12th if I cannot pay in full--which is impossible given that I have no paycheck coming in during the shutdown. I'm struggling to afford groceries, let alone storage fees. It's disheartening that a national company would show zero compassion for federal workers caught in circumstances completely beyond their control. I understand businesses have policies, but the inability to offer any flexibility during a government shutdown affecting thousands of employees speaks volumes about their priorities. I hope potential customers consider how this company treats people during times of genuine crisis

I am extremely disappointed once again by another business that is basically a scam. Once upon a time I was extremely grateful to find this place, but now it is now one of my deepest regrets.

    I have to admit that I never thought that I would be renting a storage unit but between the…read morerenovations of my home and all the excess marketing materials for my job and projects, I needed one fast or my loft was going to resemble an episode of hoarders. I chose this location due to the close proximity to my home and overall convenience. I became a bit frustrated when I initially called in for some information on pricing and availability of units, the lady who answered was friendly but I never received a call back from the manager as she promised. Since I needed a unit immediately, I popped by the office a few days later and was offered great customer service, clear information on pricing and policies, and made a $10 deposit on a 10X10 unit. I pay around $115 for a 3rd floor unit (no heating/ac) which also allows for package and shipment deliveries and access to the facility from 9am - 9pm. If you opt to pay another $10 a month, you can have access for 24/7 too. The nice thing about this place is you don't have to commit to any complicated contracts as it is billed monthly. Easy breezy! You pay a $25 administrative fee when you commit to renting but this also includes a lock with 3 sets of keys. Overall, this location appears safe and accommodating which are pretty much my basic requirements for a storage unit. TIP: They sell boxes here. Oodles of them. TIP: Check out their website for any special promotions or deals! I was able to save $5 a month due to doing a little research! Every dollar counts, right?

I moved out of Extra Space Storage on Saturday, and the experience was terrible. The closest elevator, which, according to reviews has been out for months and they've done nothing about it, the elevator to my unit on the fourth floor was out of order, so everyone had to use one faraway elevator. That was not properly communicated ahead of time, and it made the move take twice as long as it should have. Because of that extra time and extensive walking, I had to pay around $400 to $450 more in moving costs. My veteran father was there helping me, but the walk was too far for him physically, so he had to sit outside in a chair because he could not keep walking back and forth. My 3-year-old granddaughter was also with me, and when the leasing agent left for an extended time without unlocking the bathroom, we had to go across the street to the fire station just to use the restroom. I emailed corporate and got no response, and I was told they are not going to do anything. This location should be held accountable for the inconvenience and cost they caused. I'm leaving this review so other people know not to just keep contacting corporate, but to also report issues to the Tennessee Attorney General's office.

I had used Extra Space Storage before at Florida and I am using the same company now at Tennessee. I have my locker from them already so they refunded me the new locker. I love it.
