Final attempt was when I spoke with a representative and provided all of my receipts with detailed information and was told there was nothing the rep could do over the phone and requested that I bring all of my documentation in person and speak with another person. I scheduled a time to come in. When I got there with all my documentation to show I never received a month free but rather had over paid, I was told unfortunately there was nothing they could do at the facility but I could call customer service at the 1-800 #. So I wasted time coming in person when the rep could have given me the 1-800# over the phone to call. CRAZY!!

However, two problems:…read more 1) The AC units on the 2nd and 3rd floors have not been working during my visits over the last two months. My storage tubs actually softened so much from the heat that they started to warp and collapse. Unacceptable when paying for a climate controlled unit. Reported the issue multiple times but no resolution; hence, this post on Yelp. 2) Our storage unit has no light. There is literally no light fixture above our rented floor space. This is especially a problem after sunset, requiring us to bring a large flashlight to see into our boxes. We are dealing with it until we find another unit. The staff has been cordial. The location + secure access + cleanliness are excellent. If it were not for the above issues, my rating would be a 5. To management/ownership: the AC issue is a real problem and has gone unresolved for too long. Please do whatever is necessary to resolve.

I bought a red gas container, filled it, the guy from Mini Storage drove me back. Filled my tank and I was up and running in no time. I didn't have to coordinate with two companies nor did I have to chase people down to answer questions. On relatively short notice, they got me moved without any issues. Best of all, the process was streamlined and efficient. The sales process is uncomplicated and customer service is pro-active. The economics are very competitive (I save ~$75-$100 per month on storage) which adds up. Retrieval from storage does need to be coordinated through the Closetbox representatives who request 24-48 advance notice. I am comfortable recommending the ClosetBox service.

When we had the chest of drawers and the bed it was stored with delivered, they were unable to locate the chest of drawers. It was never recovered- i.e. someone most likely stole it. I'm in the process of filing a claim but it's been a month since the items were supposed to be delivered and I still have no resolution. The company states I can expect to receive approximately $120 back in return for my irreplaceable $600 chest of drawers and the $1800 I spent total storing it for 18 months. A terrible experience and I cannot discourage you enough from using them.
