This fucking place just sent me a text message they are charging late fees during these hard times. I have a r.v unit and storage unit here, yesterday I went in and paid my r.v spot and I had to sell a gun of mine just to pay this bill. I lost my job as a chef, so did my wife so the 5400 a month we brought in is now to zero a month. We had 4000.00 saved and it's all gone. 136.00 left for groceries. I have been here for 2.5 years and this place has the fucking audacity to do this. Where is the compassion with this company. Not only r they pulling crap like this during these extremely hard times they raise your rate practically every month or every other month. My unit at 1st was 60.00 it's now 94.00 these guys try tonsuck every penny from you. They r literally one of a very few companies in the world charging late fees. I will drfinately be takeing my buisness elsewhere in the next month or so once this stimulus check arrives. I'm shocked these greedy %$#&%, arent trying to auction off my stuff. I'm sure that's next with this company. So frustrated with this company and I will make sure I post on every site I can about how shitty they are for charging late fees. How about thanks for paying your r.v spot and we will give you an xtra month to catch up, dont worry about late fees. We are compassionate and understanding about the trying times this country is in. The local staff is awesome! However the regional manager and public storage policy works against customers who want to consume (spend) more with public storage. This "work" aggravates, frustrates, and alienates customers (me). It was really weird for me to have to work so hard to give more money to the company, all the while, having the regional managers work so hard to avoid me doing more business with the company!? read more

Fantasic service at this location!!!!! I worked with Lisa on my intial rental there and she was so genuine and sweet. Made the process very easy. Several weeks later I realized I needed a larger unit and holy moly the transition to a larger space was so easy due to the help by Sandie and Holly. We were treated with such kindness and respect by them with any questions we had or whatever we needed. I have been in a handful times since the first rental date (about a month ago) and every time the professionalism and friendliness is always consistent. I have rented at this location for over 10 years. I checked my unit today as I was alerted by a neighbor that the "air cooled" was not on yet this season. The hottest month of the year! Already 115 degrees! I was told that the district manager has not approved the turning on of this feature that we pay extra for. Several neighbors have mentioned that they we told that it would be turned on last week. I would believe that this must be the policy for the entire valley. Unacceptable. Update June 10. The DM returned my call. The decision about when to cool the units is not his. It is up to "Facilities" who will call the vendor, who will turn on the coolers. It has been over a month since the first 100 day but they are not SCHEDULED to be turned on until tomorrow. ???? David said the coolers can not be turned on until they are maintained.I could be snarky and say they must have been surprised it got hot, but THEY MUST BE SURPRISED IT GOT HOT. 50%increase in 14 months and less service. read more

On June 22, 2015 I found myself very lost in Mesa, Arizona...I saw the Public Storage office and pulled in. Well, the agent, Sandie greeted me and then I told her my problem. She helped me to find my way (with printed directions) back to Scottsdale! She still attended to business when the phone rang, with my consent (she politely asked)...if I ever need to recommend Public Storage, well, I will certainly recommend this facility. This Public Storage was recently changed from Red Mountain Storage. The new staff is really is really unhelpful (to put it politely)over the phone and I thought they might be a little more helpful or at least try to be pleasant but I have had a negative experience with all but one of their employees so far. One employee blatantly was rude in person as well, then when I asked her name she got even more rude when she knew I had to contact the regional manager. I have tried to get ahold of the regional rep and it takes a long time to get a call back or get anyone to help you. The old staff used to know their customer's by name and had the BEST customer service- they would offer water, take you on the golf cart to aid you with any problem with your unit, speak to you over the phone, returned calls and were very customer service based. I originally chose this place when it was red Mountain Storage knowing I could have paid less or gotten a free month at Public Storage solely because the staff was so great and assuring you would be taken care of- they would even go out and spray your unit for you of they saw any bugs/spiders ect and I had always felt my things would be safe and taken care of. I am now moving storage units because of the problems with customer service, billing issues, and poor management. read more

I have to write and tell everyone how great Lisa is. I actually used to rent a storage unit from her at Public Storage on Hayden and McKellips in Tempe a couple of years ago. She was always so kind, courteous and helpful at that location. I was in need of another storage unit, again. I picked this location out of convenience to where I was living now. I have always loved public storage and always go back to them. I was very excited and pleased to see Lisa when I walked in to set up my unit. She immediately recognized me and we had a wonderful chat and experience in setting up my new unit. I felt even better about renting at this location, knowing Lisa was the manager there. I know I can count on her for anything that might arise with my unit. I met more of the staff that work with her and they are all very nice and helpful. Last year I lost my job and housing and had to move quickly. I chose this location because it was down the street from where I was living. I've gone back to my unit several times and the last few times have had mouse droppings everywhere in the unit. Which is understandable considering the property backs up to a vacant lot with tons of critters. When i asked about the pest control company they used i was told "we don't use one" and we can give you some poison packets to put in your unit. Ummm....yeah you gave me those when I moved in and clearly they don't work. I'm moving out next weekend and am so scared to see what damage has been done to my leather couch and new memory foam mattress. Oh, and read your contract, they don't tell you that if you move out before the end of the month, you still get charged for the entire month.....which is ridiculous....i'm paying for something i'm not using...wtf??? I will never use this company again. So if someone moves in a day after I move out, they are double dipping...nice business practice. read more
