This was my first time using Public Storage, and unfortunately, it has been a very frustrating experience. I made a reservation on December 22, 2025, with a scheduled move-in date of January 11, 2026. On December 29, 2025, I called to cancel the reservation and request a refund since my plans had changed well in advance. I was informed that I would only receive a refund for the lock cylinder/merchandise, but not the $30 administrative fee. When I asked what the $30 admin fee covered or what service had already been performed, the representative could not provide a clear explanation. Given that my move-in date was still weeks away and the reservation was made only a week prior, this policy feels unreasonable. I also asked if the $30 could be applied or credited toward a future rental (as I may need storage in February), but customer service said no. To make matters worse, the representative I spoke with could not transfer me to a supervisor or anyone higher to help resolve the issue amicably. This has been a very disappointing experience for a first-time customer. Based on this interaction alone, I will not be using Public Storage in the future and would not recommend it to others. Terrible price gouging. 440% increase in 7 years at this location, on a 10'x10'. Just try to speak to a person from corporate. They charge a $20.00 convenience fee just to talk to a person other than the property manager. Ridiculous! I also got charged for inadvertently leaving two 5 gallon water bottles on the curb while I was helping my daughter remove some of her items. When I realized it and returned the bottles were gone and I was charged $25.00. Then they said that they could not return the bottles because they destroyed them. I just wonder what they would do if a really valuable item was inadvertently left behind? Would they destroy it also just to collect a$25.00 fee? I was told by the property manager that this charge was non-negotiable. I had previously rented a unit at another less convenient location for years. I have been renting from Public Storage for a total of 11 years (all on Auto-Pay) and this is the kind of friviolous action they choose to use for a long term renter. Although it is a major inconvenience to move to another storage company, I am moving out by the end of the month and will never rent from them again, nor will I recommend them to any one else. I stored items in sealed containers, wrapped in clear protective film, and still suffered catastrophic damage. Rats urinated on the wrapping, chewed through appliance wires, and destroyed furniture. I lost nearly $10,000 in property--including a washer and dryer--because this facility is infested and structurally compromised. When I opened my unit, I found two large dead rats, the stench of feces, and visible contamination throughout. The foundation is unsealed, and the building was clearly thrown up quickly without proper pest control. The insurance they offer? It doesn't cover rodent damage. I received only $250 for thousands in losses. They moved me to another unit near the elevator, farther from the exterior wall--but even there, rat feces were present. At night, you could hear them running through the units. I had no choice but to move out. The staff offered no meaningful assistance, just a quick relocation and silence. Please--don't put down a deposit. Don't fall for the snacks in the lobby or the polished sales pitch. Walk the facility yourself. Smell the air. Look down. Look up. my experience here has been great! I've rented at this location for over a year. I had a concern with pricing recently and Rhiannon was super helpful. She was able to give me information that helped keep my monthly service fees low. She even called me back later in the day and walked me through some suggestions to help me in the future. They have mice I have seen droppings in my unit , I have not found anything damaged but I still am trashing items were I think they were housed at the most which was in the back corner were most of my items were. They don't care to contact the customers to let them know remove food or trash even come check your items, I pray I never have to use another storage in my life. This location sucks just like the others all the nasty buildings need to be shut down. I will be moved out by end of this month they charge all that money for you to have mice living in your shit. But God still sees y'all sorry axx. I rented 2 large units at this location. - within the first 3 weeks someone tried to break into my unit and failed. my locks need to be changed - I experienced a rate increase on one unit within 2 months. they give you one rate, so you move in then raise the rate. - I had a rodent infestation in one of my units and reported it to the office. i was told they would get an exterminator out there, but they never did. - I moved out of this unit this month and 90% of my belongings had to be thrown out due to rodent damage. management has not even tried to make things right. There needs to be a negative star rating! Rented 3 climate controlled units for my mom (her house flooded and all contents had to be stored in order to remodel). I thought having climate controlled units would prevent damage...wrong! Here are the problems (left at least 5 messages with management to call me back- no call...stopped by the facility 3 times to talk with someone- no one there, office locked). - Reserved 3 units by phone and was given a price...BUT since they did not show a "record" of the reservation, I had to pay a higher price). Was not in a position to go to another facility, as moms house was packed up and movers waiting for keys) - Rate increased with no notice - Purchased "forced" insurance (would only deduct If I brought home policy that showed coverage). - Rat infestation in one unit (had to fill a full dumpster with damaged items) - See above, there is never anyone to talk to, and they will return calls. - They do not prorate rent. Moved out on the 7th, but had to pay for the whole month. - Locks removed- I think the facility cut them off since we moved out, but can't prove it and there is absolutely no one to talk to! - The only way I got to talk to a real person (to find out how to file an insurance claim) was to call the Public Storage phone number and press the option "rent a unit"...then miraculously I got to talk to a real person! - Due to rat infestation, I filed a claim with the "forced" insurance coverage. Guess what? Rodent damage is limited to a max. of $250 with a $100 deductible!! So an entire 10x20 unit is damaged, but he max coverage is $150!!! What a joke! Homeowners insurance does not cover rodent damage. So due non-existent rodent control at this facility- mom is out thousands of dollars!! DON'T RENT HERE!! I wish I would have read the horrible reviews for this facility before renting! Maybe someone with corporate will call regarding this horrible review- but I'm not holding my breath!! read more

terrible experience. firstly, I made a reservation one month ahead of time. I received email, text, and phone call confirmation of this reservation., when it came to moving day, suddenly they had no record of my reservation (should have been my first clue). we were able to secure a different space on the third floor (same size) for more than my initial reservation was made for. I believe they do this on purpose to upcharge. I was told that moving out date would be prorated, we moved out on March 1 before noon and now they're trying to charge me for the whole month of March (monthly payment is in the tiny print but when someone verbally tells you it'll be prorated you should be able to believe them. not only are they charging me for the whole month of March, March charge is three times as expensive as the two months prior, COMBINED. I try calling the facility and corporate and all they do is say "there's nothing we can do". terrible customer service, may as well be non existent read more

Our funiture recieved major water damage due to PS vendor contruction on thier property, July 2022. Four months later our funiture has not been replace or monetary compensation has not been resolved. We are getting the run around and provided misinformation. No one is taking responsibility. PS staff is not aware of how to assist us to resolve this matter. We have been directed to call the insurance company, but the insurance company is oblivious and will/can not assist. As customers of PS it is disappointing they appear unconcerned with resolving this matter as is relates to the customer belongs while utilizing thier facility/services. So disappointed on how this situation has been handled by PS, which has led to our countless time and effort to resolve this matter to no avail. read more

We have been renting here for about 4 years. They started raising the rent after year 2. We had to have it so we paid. We finally moved to a much smaller unit about 6 months ago because they were getting exorbitant on raising our rate. Now, barely 6 months later they are raising our rate by 30%. We're going to move our things out. Don't rent here, you'll wind up being charged ridiculous rates. They use a bait & switch method by offering a normal rate & one free month to begin & then continually jack up the rate until you are spending a fortune. RUN from this company. read more

The process of renting a unit was simple enough. The staff was friendly. However, unloading was problematic and the most stressful part of the move due to the fact either a 10 digit code or the app had to be used every single time you needed the door opened or the elevator to ascend. The app only works when you are very close to the entry pad and if you walk away and need to use it again it has to reload. Entering the numbers each and every time is a royal pain. Wish this was better explained when I toured the facility. When you are paying movers by the hour the delays are costly. read more

Before signing anything I asked the woman how they raise the prices. I told her that the unit that we were currently they raised the prices from one month to the next without warning and it was too expensive. She told me straight to my face that they only raise prices every quarter and before they raise the prices that they would send us something. She made it seem that we didn't have anything to worry about for a while. Based on that, we signed. 2 months later they raised the rent from $130 to $178 and with no warning. When we called to ask about the price increases not only did they not answer, we left a VM and they still NEVER called us back. It's just a bait and switch company. My experience with this facility has been awesome. They made it super easy for me to get my unit completely contact free. My key and lock were left in the unit for me when I arrived. The unit was very very clean as was the rest of the facility. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 is because there is no where dry to unload when it's raining. I shopped around for a storage facility for a while. Public Storage was the most affordable compared to smaller storage facilities. I really liked that they had later hours available for move in and better technology and security. I feel safe leaving my belongings there with the locked gate that can be accessed with my phone. I also liked that the inside was climate controlled and had motion lights. I work late and was able to get my stuff moved in at my convenience. Definitely recommend as of now. I am a new customer and will update if anything changes. read more

The unit was fine and not problems. The issue I have is the unit price kept going up . You just lost a customer that paid a year ahead and autopay. So you never missed a payment, but would not work with me on keeping my price down. Started at $19 and moving out at $42. Should have worked at keeping it low and would not be leaving and going to another place. new place moto is to work with customers and especially ones on autopay and pay 6 months ahead. Also, larger unit climate control same price I am paying you. To me its best to keep someone at $19 and get paid then to loose a client. I had the office try 6 or 7 times for a better price and was always turned down. Will not return here even if better price. I use for storage and always have one. Your loss!!! Office was helpful when I could get in. Seems like they are always at lunch. One girl was in her car eating ,but could not roll down her window and say hey I work here, but at lunch. Ever since Public Storage took over All Storage, it's been chaotic. Can't get anyone on the phone. Managers don't return calls. No one knows anything. To top it off, we were asked to switch units due to construction. We had to hire professional movers and it cost us $726 and we have not been reimbursed for the expense. If I could give zero or negative stars I would. Rude customer service person named Brian. I did not have time to look around. The mover recommended this storage location since it was close to my former address. Big mistake. I discovered the one unit had rat droppings. I've rented storage from many places and never had a location that had rat droppings which is unsanitary and a possible health hazard. I went back the next day on the first of the month to sweep the unit, I am being told because I "logged in" through the gate, they are trying to charge me the full month's rent for both units at that location. I filled a complaint, will see what that does. Like the other units I've had in the past someone went around checking to make sure the units were okay. Don't rent from this location unless you understand you will be charged because you entered a code in the gate. Just like they make sure you know how much the unit will cost, this gate should be clearly explained. One should not have to go digging for small print which I am still trying to verify is in the contract. Why can't you be above board and honest. I paid on time and keep the units clean. Initially I had an issue where I got a smaller unit that I needed and the only person who can upgrade Ruiz would be the property manger, which currently has still never called me back two days later after my 4 voicemails. I eked il getting my reservation canceled by customer service and got the right unit and my money refunded. The gentlemen who was working that day at the location was very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure I was set up. They are expensive but inside the unit is nice and clean. read more

This storage facility is the worst place I have ever been to. I have traveled the world for over 21 years with the US Army and dealt with many storage facilities I rented a unit here and in May , and by October of 2022 , my unit was broken into , the lock was changed. I went to the front office , and they said its nothing they could do about this. The police were called to complete a police report. The front office stated that there wasn't a camera in the area where my unit was located. At the time of my storage unit break-in ,the front gate was not working and was open freely for over a week off and on. As I was clearing the unit, I noticed the gate was getting completely replaced I feel that this company could have at least picked up the phone and called me since it was their lack of security that caused my unit to be broken into. I will never rent from public storage again or recommend no one to this company. I lost a lot of money with this company. read more
