I spoke with multiple moving companies, at least 5 before Adam, and knew the second I connected with him that their company and team was different. He is down-to-earth, honest, friendly, and proud of his business and work. He believes in building relationships and being transparent throughout the whole process, start to finish. Adam took the time to visit with me at my home and inspected my belongings BEFORE quoting me, none of the blind 2-minute quoting a lot of other companies offer. He also spent a good hour talking with me about my circumstances, wants, and needs without any kind of expressed commitment from me..and that meant so much to me. It also gave me the opportunity to learn a lot more about the company. Hearing their backstory and how the company came about, as well as the many ways they strive to be fair while also helping out those in need as they are able, is phenomenal and something worth hearing if you have the time to listen and chat with Adam or Claudia!! Compassion Movers came to our rescue, they had to come back with an engine lift after a couple of days but they got it lifted and mounted on the stand that it came with. They were reasonably and fairly priced and I was more than happy to support a locally owned moving business.

I was glad I kept after the owner to get receipts because he tried to charge me twice for my deposits - I was told I'd pay the remaining amount when the moving van arrived at my house - I was asked for money all throughout the trip and I'm 95% sure I overpaid by about $2000 - I had a lot on my mind moving cross country ... Time lines were also theoretical - if they were supposed to show up at 8am and were late - this included set up appointments, packing, and leaving - I'd call and got 'we'll get there when we get there ...' I paid for people to pack and unpack my house including helping me build furniture at my new house - thankfully neighbors took care of packing the house for me - the only thing the movers packed was my garage - they seemed unable to understand that if it was in the garage it needed to be packed and I finally gave up and left stuff behind ... of course unpacking consisted of putting things in my house and then leaving ... The only good thing I can say is that the 2 guys that actually drove the truck from my old house to my new house were great ... I got constant updates and knew exactly where they were (even without the AirTag I'd thrown in a box) ... Don't waste your time with this company ...

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - Completely Unprofessional and Dishonest…read more My experience with this company was absolutely terrible. They damaged my brand-new bedroom set and used tape to hold my dresser drawers together--completely unprofessional behavior. They were instructed not to touch anything that wasn't boxed, but still moved items they weren't supposed to. One mover even broke my 64-inch TV by carelessly dragging it across the room instead of properly disassembling and packing it. What should've been a straightforward move 12 boxes, 2 bedroom sets, 2 living room sets, and a few small items took 7 hours due to their lack of organization and failure to follow instructions. To make matters worse, the owner has not responded to my complaints, and one of their employees has been giving me the runaround for over a week, claiming he's "waiting on corporate" to process a payment for the damages. Still, nothing has been done. This company shows a complete lack of professionalism, responsibility, and integrity. I do not recommend them to anyone.
