They offer a good discount rate to get you to move in and then 3 months later increase by 30%. I went from $300 for 10x25 and there was nothing anyway to say this was a limited price and will increase x $ 100 in 3 months . Just sucks and now have to move out to find somewhere cheaper . I can't afford to pay $420 month and can find somewhere cheaper $200 less a month . Just sucks to move everything again for in the long run , it will save me money annually . read more

Bait and Switch- I rented from this Public Storage location 6 months ago based on their semi-annual 50% off deal. Expecting this to be too good to be true, I spoke to Daniel about the specifics of the plan and was told that I'd be paying half what I'd otherwise pay... for the length of the contract. I expected incremental rate increases but it's barely 6 months later and my rate has increased almost an additional 50% from $58 to $84. I've researched other local locations and have found rates for the same size unit ranging from $87 to $109 with the only outlier being Public Storage, where the rate is a whopping $175. So, they offer a great rate, have you move your things in, then tell you that you're still getting 50% of what you'd "otherwise get HERE" based on their rate which is massively inflated compared to the local market average. More than just a little disappointed, I guess I'm moving all of my things... again. read more

Unit was exactly as promised. It is off a small hallway in one of the buildings. *** Victoria is simply mahvelous! Was given a cart to unload. Lock and keys were waiting for me. Got a text to start using the app with bluetooth to open the gates. App worked flawlessly. The bathroom off of the office was sprkling clean and well stocked. Did I mention Victoria is awesome? Very strict on the hours if you're there anytime past 9pm they reach out to let you know how disrupts the other members of the rental property? Really?!? When you tend to your dogs and you work 8 to 7 Monday through Friday it's very difficult to get down there in time to do any meaningful work before you either have to go to work or the facility closes I don't understand why business hours end at 9pm. It's a Storage facility not a museum or a time sensitive place in any way shape or form. read more

I would like to warn others looking for a storage space to be aware that these folks will significantly raise your rates within 6 months of moving your belongings in. Of course your stuck at that point as it will cost you more to move than to just suck it up and give them a 30% raise so your forced into paying more than you originally agreed to. Pretty crappy way to do business when people are on a tight budget and believe they could count on their contacted payment for longer than 6 months. read more

If I could give this corporate company a Negative Zero I would. This review IS NOT against the manager Julie as she is a wonderful person to deal with. This is warning for ALL public storage customers that are thinking of useing this company. This facility is actually a great place and has been a great experience for me since 2011 until this location was bought out by public storage. For the last 3 years this company has cost me 100s dollars by raising my rent every 6 months, changing me more than the going rate that any new customer would be charged and I have now moved out because of these increases. This is the bad part, Public Storage bought out the location and is now a corporate company. The problem with that is that the company could care less about you. When this location was bought the Public Storage rules were now inefect. So you might ask what does that mean to me? In short if you are renting a storage unit for short term less than 6 months, then nothing. But if you want to rent a unit long term THIS IS NOT the company or location to rent from.. My rent started with PSC was 225.00 for a 10x20 unit. Each 6 months or 12 months the rent has been increased by 25.00 to 45.00 depending ok how greedy they feel. Now my rent has been increased to 360.00 for this same unit. So here is the ridiculous part, If I am a new customer I can rent the exact same unit 10x20 a few doors away from my unit for 225.00. I talked three different times to corporate headquarters to get my rent reduced or to ask that it not be raised. All three responses where the same, sorry but we can't reduce your rate and we have to raise you rent every 6 or 12 months, this is our protacal. It has been the same answer every time my rent has been increased. I called Julie that manages the units and she was quite surprised that corporate was raising my rent to 360.00 when any Joe off the street could rent the same unit for 225.00, She said she would talk to the owner at this location but 3 days later after I talked with her the owner never called me and I had now had 2 days to get out over Labor Day weekend or get charged 360.00. So I spent my Labor Day weekend moving out instead of taking the weekend off with the kids because the Owners refused to call me to address the new increase. Long story short I found a storage unit in one day, a special 10x20 for 170.00 and their policies (East Evans Storage) are the rent will NEVER be more than the current ask price for any Joe that comes off the street unlike PSC. If you want a short term place that is over priced because of its location this is a good place. If you want a long term rental unit UNDERSTAND public storage will raise your rent every 6 or 12 months by 30.00 to 45.00, even if the unit can be rented by any Joe for half the price. My choice was to either pay them 360.00 a month for a 10x20, 4320.00 for the year (the same unit rents for 225 to everyone else) or just move out and rent from any other company at 170.00 a month 2040.00. HALF THE PRICE. Public Storage is NOT your friend for long term rentals over 6 months and ZERO communication ZERO interaction with the owner even when asked specifically asked to have the owner to call me. Seems like they are making too much money ripping off the long term renters. read more

This is a review for public storage and their policies in general. I will say that this facility is clean and well maintained. But, we had several issues with public storage. When we signed up for our unit we were told that the unit rent rates could go up at any time. They say that the month to month helps the customer because you can move out any time, it offers flexibility etc. But they can also change the price on you whenever they feel like it. I rented a 10x10 for $72. I was charged for a renter's insurance even though I have my own separate renters insurance that covers things like this. Unfortunately they do not take email copies of the insurance, even if is the exact same document, they will only take physical copies. So whatever, annoying but not the end of the world. Well a few weeks ago they send me an email saying the price of my unit is going from $72 to $92. The office person has originally said that they don't increase the rate by more than 10-15 dollars at a time and it happens rarely. I've only been in the unit since January 2019 and my rent was supposed to increase in July (we moved out early). But a $20 rent increase in six months seems absurd to me. The other problem we had is that our rental move in was delayed by two days. Our apartment had a leak last minute and they had to do some major repairs. We were originally planning on terminating our lease on May 31 but because of the leak we ended up terminating the lease on June 2nd. Unfortunately Public Storage refuses to prorate their rent. So even though I only occupied the unit for 2 days and they will more than likely rent it out before the end of the month, they are still keeping the entire months rent. When I called customer service she said that this was because they needed 'to streamline' the process and prorating was too complicated. Which is bizarre since literally thousands of companies have prorate policies. Prorating is literally just math. Apparently basic division is way too much for public storage. This will be the last time I ever use Public Storage and I will tell everyone I know not to use them. Their nickle and dime policies are absolutely ridiculous and shady. read more

Communication from Public Storage will recommend you to set-up auto-draft. I did so per this communication and have had my unit with them for years. They auto-drafted my account on 9/2 and I removed my items on 9/4. I notified the person in the office, Dalton, that day and he said he would suspect I would receive a credit for the pro-rated amount. I placed a call to them on 9/6 (no answer, as usual), and then received a call back later from Julie. Julie advised that since my account is set-up for auto-draft, they CANNOT and WILL NOT provide me with the difference. So they basically steal your money. Do NOT sign up for auto-draft! What a scam! Also, I feel like the amount they charge is INCREASED every 6 months. And who has time to continuously move their storage items; you are basically forced to pay the increased prices. BEWARE!!!!!!! read more

If you're looking for a long term solution to store your items, STAY AWAY. I've been a customer for five years now and I'm currently being charged almost three times the typical monthly rent at this location for the unit I have. All I've seen is my rate go up over the years, while anyone else can come in and rent a unit at a third of my monthly rent today. I've been a paying customer this whole time with not a single month of missed payment and they won't even allow me to reset my rate to their current standard. The customer service at the location doesn't have any real clue why my rent is significantly higher than normal telling me I need to contact their district manager to have all my questions fully answered. Stay away from Public Storage as they only rob its loyal customers of their money. read more

This is the third time in my life using a storage facility. I have to say that Julie the manager at this location, was very nice. She was very accommodating when I originally rented the unit 18 months ago and in contacting me when changes have been made. I appreciate Julie. BUT Public Storage as a company is pretty crappy. 1 - the quoted rate is not the rate you pay, as they tack on additional insurance EVEN when you have your own insurance covering your property. 2 - in the 18 months, they raised the rate twice, $15-$20/mo each time. While I started at (approx) $130, the rate has gone up to over $170. 3 - rent is not prorated, so I'm moving out the first week of the month, yet I still owe for a full month. Trying to coordinate moving goods to fit within a calendar month, is not easy. Lastly, I never found any issues with the property itself, gates always worked when I've been there. No leaks... so stuff stayed dry. The HUGE spider on the door that prevented my access was a shock.... read more

The property manager is wonderful, unfortunately she has no control over what corporate wants to charge. I rented a unit and after a few months I got a letter saying they were increasing the rate by over $50 a month. At the same time, they are advertising a lower rate than I was originally paying for new customers. Corporate gives the local property manager no control over pricing so I'm stuck dealing with the corporate call center who is rude and has no interest in helping. They said corporate can increase the rates whenever they want. Avoid this place at all costs. read more
