We spoke to someone on the phone prior to going in person. The person we spoke to was extremely friendly and was able to answer all our questions. When we went in person, the person we spoke to was also extremely friendly and we were able to get a spot that day. Not only are they friendly, they do not price gauge you like other storage places. Do not use this business. I paid for a year in advance (big mistake). They told me any portion of that advance payment would be refundable. I had to cancel due to change of plans. So I had about 8 months or so left on my account. I informed them that I need to cancel and get a refund for the remaining months. The lady in the office then informed me they don't do refunds, but she will ask her boss, since I paid all that in advance. I totally understand not refunding partial months. That's no problem. But $130/month x 8months = $1040.00 that's at stake. The lady told me to sign the cancellation form, and she would get back to me in a couple days. They decided not to refund me. So I asked if I can still store my trailer there. They said no since I signed the cancellation form, I would need to start over, and pay again. These guys are crooks. And I am planning to take them ti small claims court read more

I used Ace Storage for 7 years, finding them less expensive than places closer to Denver. Even easier to get to now, as they finish up construction to widen Santa Fe. I appreciated that they did not significantly increase storage fees during the 7 years I had my stuff there. The gate access always worked. And, the front office was always pleasant and cordial to deal with. read more

I was okay for a while with Ace Storage because the site was affordable and was clean. That was 6 years ago. Currently, the management of Ace Storage has been jacking up the rent with little, if any, improvements of the property. Be prepared for crushed asphalt gravel that gets buried in winter months and becomes a dirt field. Yearly maintenance by said owner of Ace Storage that is pretty much like spraying white lines on a football field, except this field is full of other persons property. This paint craps gets sprayed down onto the gravel, has overspray that marks your tires, wheels and trailer depending on how low to the ground your property might be. Owner doesn't seem to care. After all it not his fault you stored your property on his dirt/gravel field. Team these negatives with new road construction and high winds and you are sure gonna regret storing your nice toys, even if they are covered, at Ace Storage. I sure do regret it ALOT! Like many people around this time of year, I decided to purchase a pop-up camper to take advantage of the amazing outdoors Colorado offers. Upon purchasing my camper, I quickly discovered what a hassle storing it can be! I called all the RV storage lots around my house and they were either completely sold out in the size of spot I needed or they were ridiculously overpriced. Some friends of mine suggested that I try places outside of the city on the south end. I called a few places and still found many places were sold out. Finally, I got a hold of a seemingly nice lady down at Ace Storage who said she had numerous vacancies and gave me a really good rate over the phone. She wasn't able to set up a contract via email or on the phone like other places, but she told me to come on down and they'd get me set up and into a spot that same day! I was so relieved that I didn't even pause to think about the fact that it may be too good to be true, or that there may be a catch.. boy was I wrong! After a 45 minute drive down there and seeing the place for the first time, I started to realize why there were so many available spots and why the prices were so low. 1. The turn off of the main highway has virtually no room for you to fully get safely out of traffic before turning onto a very narrow road and crossing the train tracks (which are immediately adjacent to the main road) I was heading south and making a right hand turn, the only way I can possibly imagine this turn being doable with a large RV or trailer would be to drive a couple of miles down the road, turn around, and turn left heading north. Cars travel pretty fast down this road so it poses a lot of safety concerns. On top of that if there is a train going by, you're going to sit poking out into the highway while waiting 5 minutes for the freight train to pass and people flying by or possibly wrecking into your RV. 2. The highway has a speed limit of 55 and most people go 70, so turning out of here (assuming you can even get in) pulling a trailer takes a good 5+ minutes to wait for an opening in traffic to safely pull out, there's no stop light. 3. To call the place "modest," would be a stretch. There's junk everywhere and a muddy dirty parking lot with an office in an old run down house. There are places where the fences/gates are sagging or not standing up straight which doesn't exactly scream "high security," even with their claim of a well lit area and security cameras. I put these concerns aside and figured it's just an RV storage place and it's a bargain, not like it needs to be a fancy 5 star resort. Plus, I figured my camper was small and I the southbound right turn would be easy to manage with my little 17 ft trailer. I had driven all this way and was ready to be done with the headache of finding a place to store my camper. I went inside and got started with the same lady I spoke to on the phone to rent out a spot. She seemed really nice until she asked what kind of camper I was storing. I told her it was a 1999 and her face immediately fell and she suddenly looked at me like I was a particularly unpleasant rodent that had scurried across her desk and said: "oh.. no. nope we don't store anything older than 2000, we have problems with people abandoning them here." I told her that I would be happy to make a security deposit or have an inspection done of my camper because it is in immaculate shape. She wouldn't hear it, she went from chipper and friendly to condescending and unhelpful in a split second. At the very least she could have said "I can't do anything about the policy, but perhaps I can talk to someone to see what we can do to accommodate you," or "I believe you aren't going to abandon your camper here, but we have this policy and I can't do anything about it. Let me call another couple places nearby to see if I can help you find a place after driving all this way." But instead she just simpered and waited for me to just leave without an apology. They rushed me in there to sign a lease but didn't even bother to give me a heads up of any special conditions that would prevent me from storing at their facility. I also find it a little bit rich that they could be so smug about my 1999 camper. It may be old but it's in outstanding shape and they wouldn't even look at it. It is most certainly in better shape than the shanty they are running their business out of anyway. I ended up striking gold down the road at Superior RV & Boat storage. $5 a month cheaper than Ace and much better service. They were able to do my lease completely via email and payment online. So I am glad I hit a snag in the process early on with Ace, bullet dodged! Short story long: STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!!! read more

Ace storage is wonderfully convenient, safe and easy to move your RV/ trailer in and out of its space. I have used several other storage places in the Denver area over the years and have never had a problem. I bought an off-road utility vehicle in 2017 along with a trailer and a variety of other items to upgrade the vehicle and trailer. I even bought a hitch lock from Ace Storage that they said would deter anyone from stealing it as you would need a torch to get it off. I dropped the vehicle and trailer off in early Oct of 2020 and didn't go there again until early Dec at which time I learned that it had been stolen from the property; in spite of the fact that the owners/managers gave me a song and dance of how secure the facility is. Well...that was a bunch of BS. The perpetrators used a "guest" code to get into the facility and were able to ramble around the area for some time and decided to steal my trailer and vehicle. Since the owners won't speak to me I have numerous questions such as: Why would they have a guest code? If they did, how did they obtain it? If the owners gave it to them do they not check and verify ID? But, as I stated, they won't speak with me. The sheriffs department has the video of them keying in the code and entering as well as leaving the premises with my trailer and vehicle. They of course removed their license plates. Now, to top this off we just found out that another party, early in 2020 had a similar thing happen with their ski boat. Guest pass and all. You should NEVER store anything of value in this place. Their security is non-existent. There are many more places with far better reputations. If you are already using them just call this a warning to move your property out of there. read more

This is not just an RV storage location, I had a large storage trailer there that held all of my home's furniture for an extended period of time because of relocation and construction.
