Update to review:…read more Just got a rate increase in the mail, not even 6 months into my rental. I was paying $80/month, but the new rate is going up to $143/month (a 78% increase!). This is about the lowest form of bait & switch that I've come across. The good news is I only got the unit to clear up some clutter and not much in it, so easy to remove out. Bad news is that this tactic leaves people dead in the water if they have heavy or large items in there, and can't move easily. This is a preying tactic. I have some choice words regarding this practice (I've been in sales for 16+ years) but I know I would NEVER do this to a client. Shame on you, Extra Space Storage! You will no longer be getting my business after this insane rate increase. Original review: Online promotion drew me in, along with location. Sales associate was friendly and professional, although semi-cheesy with his sales tactics ("we've only got a few of these units left", "we have more reservations than units so don't delay" ... and my favorite, "you're in luck, we have one left and the sale ends today"). Signing forms and getting my gate code was super fast, and move in was easy. Loved they provided a map, and that the carts were where they should be. Unit was clean and easy to get into. My only complaint is that they should have an asterisk by any online promotion, mentioning that rental insurance is needed. I'm not a fan of bait & switch tactics. Decent experience, overall.

I gave them notice & within my move out week my next payment was due for the month which was paid up. I STILL had about 25 days left in the month when I moved out. I asked for a refund of those days since I moved out early but was refused! What kind of business doesn't refund you for a service you don't use anymore or don't need?! Never heard of this! That's almost $400 down the drain now! Money doesn't grow on trees!! Anyway I'll give them 2 stars for being a secure place to hold my things but it would have been 5 if I would have received a refund. If you rent a unit here make sure you move out on your exact move out date or as close to it as possible or you'll be out of money. SMH!

So my wife and I stopped in and was greeted by Ann & Rick, what an absolute delight, Rick and Ann were so welcoming and friendly, great sense of humor and we connected immediately. it was very humid on the day we were moving into our climate controlled unit. Ann and Rick were driving around and stopped to see if we were ok. We lwere so hot, sweaty, and miserable, Ann's warm smile and Rick's quiet but friendly demeanor made us feel better and in a on few minutes Ann brought us each a cold bottle of water, we were so taken back by their kindness, and concern. Since then, we have had several major expenses come up which has resulted in us having to pay late. They charge a huge late fee (around $50) which we have paid. My complaint is the insanely high late fees and their lack of willingness to even consider waiving a single fee. They've made roughly $3000 in late fees off of my hardships. Even worse, without warning, I will receive a bill periodically with a new increase. Last month, my bill was $344 and I logged in today to pay and it is now $399. I don't know how a company can not only increase rates without any notice but they have no compassion for anyone who is struggling. Their late fee is 20% of the bills total which is way above industry standard. Lastly, when I moved into the unit, I was told there was a 10 day late fee grace period. This is not true as my bill is due on the 3rd and the fee was already assessed on the unit today (11th) They make up rules as they go, add new charges when they see fit, and lack compassion regarding their clients hardships causing them to continue a viscious cycle of late payments since they can never catch up with all of the fees and increases. ​

When we arrived she had just finished cleaning and treating the unit to be rented. We started the paperwork, she explained everything and later delivered an envelope to me knowing that we were on a time schedule. If you need a storage unit call about availability Ark fills up pretty quickly and the "special rates" are "good for six months only."

Location and price are important but being able to access my unit at anytime and still feel safe is huge for us! The lock was drilled out and several carloads were stolen, including a couch requiring multiple people to lift. My partner found out when he came back to his unit and the instantly lock fell out. His unit was right in front of a security camera and required two passcodes to enter the facility. We have been unable to contact the property manager. After we reported the issue, his unit got broken into again! The unit is not at all secure as the website claims. Also, he's had issues with leaks and had been stuck in an elevator. The police did recover one item from a pawn shop but have not turned over the identity of the culprit(s) based on the pawn shop record or the security footage. They also have not released the name of the pawn shop where the item was found. Please do not rent from here if you have unique values. My partner is a musician and will likely never recover the creative property that was stolen from here.

My review is for the Uhaul Dealership here…read more I rented a smaller uhaul truck from this location and did the after hours pickup/dropoff. It was the first time I had ever scheduled after hours so was worried how the process would go. In my request, I put in for furniture protection cloths. When I arrived, the process was easier than I thought. I dloaded the Uhaul app, and they had 5 lock boxes near the front door. Through the app, it gave me a code for the key and also a photo of where my uhaul was. Everything was all there! The drop-off process took a little longer (had to take like 8 photos) but the convenience and ease of getting/returning Uhaul was much simpler than I expected. The only complaint I have is that the small uhauls don't have a ramp and I "think" the Uhaul we had contained bed bugs. Please thoroughly clean vehicles after each use.
