(always just seems on a whim, first increase was just 6 months or so after renting unit, the specials seem so scammy when that rent doesn't last long.) Long story short, the new increase starting march 1st for my unit is $115 per month they plan on sticking me. Totally absurd. If you are renting for 6 months or less then you should be ok. If you want longer than that and don't want your rent per month to TRIPLE in less than 4 years I would highly suggest looking else where. Now off to empty out my unit and get out of this ridiculous payment.

I phoned the site manager and tried to get the company to just do a transfer or give me the rate from the internet. I was told it "wasn't possible". Then I spent an hour moving all my stuff. There was nobody in the office at the location to respond to help with checkout/checkin and closeout of the old unit, even tough it was during advertised business hours. When I reached out to their customer service by phone the next day, I got a totally different story and was told I could have just done an account transfer. They didn't want to give me a prorated month for the unit we moved out of. Just seems like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing here. I called Madge 3 times and got no response...

Fortress U-Haul records the gas from the previous rental, then moves the trucks from inside to outside the gate daily until the next rental. Fortress U-Haul moved my truck back and forth for over two months and expected me to pay for the gas. The tank was empty when I picked up the vehicle. After I returned the vehicle, I showed Cindy the pictures I took of the empty gas gauge right after I picked up the truck, two receipts for gas I purchased before and after I used the vehicle, the gas gauge after I refueled and she threatened to sue me for $5.00... Barbara, the store manager, was calling to welcome me, make sure if I had any questions and to walk me through accessing my unit! It took me longer than planned to go pick up my lock and start using the unit so they called to check in on me and make sure I didn't have any issues or questions!
