Wow Todd, still a nice way to talk to customers. I was taught that humans had a MOUTH not a MONTH…read more This is how the situation really happened. I called you on October 9, 2023, at 10:53 AM and left a message to tell you that I was pulling my boat out on November 6, 2023, to put it in winter storage. You called me back at 12:03 PM the same day and told me that I would have to pay for the entire month of November. I had no problem with that. You said that you normally get a 30-day written notice of departing your facility but since we were talking, you would accept the verbal notice (this should have been in your notes). My wife accidentally paid you twice and you admit it.  On November 6th I pulled my boat off your property and moved it to winter storage.  When I got home my wife told me about the double payment. I called you at 1:27 PM on November 6th to inform you about the double payment. You told me you posted the double payment for November and December, and I was covered for December storage fee even though I was not storing anything on your property, and you were not giving me my money back. I posted my review on YELP on November 6th to warn others of your corrupt business practice. You called me at 2:09 PM after reading the review on YELP on the 6th and left me a voice mail which included the following: "Hey Bruce, Todd Payne here, I went back and looked at all my records, NOTES, and everything and I don't see anything that you've notified me that you were leaving for 30 days but what I can do is take that EXTRA PAYMENT THAT YOUR WIFE MADE that I posted for December and KEEP IT and hold your spot for you. You'll start back up in the summer and make payments. Just give me a call back".  These are your words, Todd. You are admitting to keeping the extra payment and not returning my money even though you were notified in October. Why don't you have any records and I do. I am warning everyone to stay away, or you will have to shut your MONTH!

Miles of storage recently bought the Bloomington storage facility we use and that is the one and…read moreonly reason we have ever done business with them. Since they have taken over, the security gate remains open, the security cameras are pointing in the wrong direction. Several locks insode the facility have been cut and items stolen. Our locker included. We have reached out to the call center several times with no response other than the rep saying our concerns will be forwarded to a manager. We cant speak to anyone with any authority to fix the problems they caused. I attempted to contact them through their website only to be given an error message stating the site is not safe. When I continued to the site and accesses the contact us link, I was unable to send the message. The company is a scam and only wants to collect the fees from tenants.

And also too expensive, especially on stupid late fees that make no sense to continuously keep adding to the bill. Actually expecting you to pay it off completely, before you can recover anything. They don't tell you when your very personal things are up for auction til the last minute, actually expecting you to magically pull money out of your butt to save it before it gets sold. They all always seem to have nasty attitudes when discussing extensions for the unit, when you're low on cash. It's clearly been hard to maintain work with the virus going on, you would think they would at least lower the price. Make it just half off til the economy and things get better. So as for you won't potentially lose diplomas, multiple work uniforms, family heirlooms, pictures and even identity thieving information. I'm honestly completely devastated, to the point of extreme depression. As if times aren't hard or bad enough as it is, especially after losing family members. This was by far the worst thing that could happen. Literally 20 years and plus of unrecoverable or irreplaceable items lost. I will forever lastingly be affected by this for as long as I live, it is truly like losing all family members in 2020 and reopening the wounds from members prior to this. I officially have no more memorabilia of said past family members. I just wish that there was a way to possibly retrieve the all personal items, from the auction buyers. So you aren't at a complete lost. I seriously may need therapy for this,  being since it has made my anxiety and depression even worse than before, even after the virus started. There really should be a law that you can at least get that kind personal things back, especially since the buyers will technically have or get no value for it. I really hope this saves and helps someone else from making the horrible decision of attempted storage saving at this facility, while you're in between moving from place to place.Don't go here for storage, Its a heartless service that will leave you feeling absolutely  heartbroken and devastated.
