Tyrah at the front desk was the best. She was personable and willing to go out of her way to make sure we got the storage size that we were looking for. She showed us several spaces to make sure we were getting the exactly what we wanted and f Within our budget. Highly recommend this location if it's convenient for you read more

Kim was extremely helpful and made my move-in a breeze. Very helpful and insightful. Jackson Street location in Downtown.

My experience at this location has surpassed my expectation, i underestimated the size of the facility. Ms. Kim is who you want to talk to, she helped me get the correct size storage for my belongings, the promo they have right now has helped and i would absolutely recommend the Jackson St location to anyone looking! read more

This company gets you to sign up with a low rate and then after a few months in they increase your monthly bill over $30+ dollars a month. Check the fine print; they can increase the prices whenever they want to and however much they want to. Will never do business here again. read more

Public Storage - Self Storage Near Me - Houston, Texas

Kim was fabulous sale partner and property manager! She was very helpful in finding the correct unit and going above and beyond.

I have been renting from this location for about 5 years now. Kim is the current manager and she has great tot work with. She is always professional, pleasant and helpful. They could a million more employees like her! read more

Stay very far away from Public Storage! They recently took over the company I was renting 2 units from. They recently sent an email raising my rental by 50% on one unit, and 30% on the other. I understand that rental increases happen from time to time, but this amount is exorbitant. I have never been late, have my rent debited and am a good customer. I called the manager of the Morton Ranch facility, called the department to escalate the issue and was hung up on by 2 of the 3 agents I spoke with. The last person I spoke with was a "supervisor" and she said there was no one else higher up than her to speak with, then hung up. Guess she's the CEO. They are just money hungry, and instead of being willing to work with a good customer, they say, well if you don't like it move on. The other 1 star reviews are spot on. Public Storage is a hot mess. If you want to be valued as a customer, and don't want rates raised every 6 months, look elsewhere!!!! read more

8989 Westheimer Rd Houston, TX 77063 (346) 308-9844 The ladies attitude uffff...There are three ladies working at the entrance, they seriously need some customer service training. The sensor of the main entrance doesn't open automatically. These three ladies sitting at the counter looks at their customer problems getting in and out but not offer any type of help. The way they talk to the customer is like they are doing us a favor by talking or renting us out space. It is pretty amazing, also be careful and pay attention of the charges. Because if you don't they may be charging you something that you really don't want or need. read more

My family and I would like to thank Serena @ Jackson Street from the bottom of our hearts for her professionalism and empathy shown during our move in! Our moving truck broke down (in the rain) on the drive from MS to TX delaying our arrival by one day. When we didn't arrive as scheduled, Serena called to check on us and assure us that our space would still be available. The genuine concern and sincerity of her call provided a much needed silver lining to an otherwise cloudy day. I wish there were MORE STARS to give! She was amazing! Even when the facility's elevator went out, she stayed beyond her shift to get us taken care of and our account credited! Thank you Serena and Public Storage! read more

This public storage facility is clean. When I arrived the exterminator was spraying the halls. Ms. Serena at the front desk was very kind, helpful and provided great service any time I had a question. She also promptly called me when she noticed I did not properly lock my door. I feel very comfortable having my belongings at this facility and very grateful to Ms. Serena at the front for making this process easy and stress free. read more

11900 Katy Frwy, Houston, TX Worst Customer service! When my credit card was lost I informed the manager at this location since I had my payments automatically drafted from my credit card. Public Storage charged me a late fee since I had to cancel the card and the manager told me not to worry about it and said they would credit the late fee. After 3 months of Public Storage bill collectors calling me at work 3-4 times a week I still have not been credited. Every time I speak to them they act like they have no clue what I am talking about. Now the manager is no longer there and the new manager just says she will give it to her boss. No one ever calls me back. I will never us another Public Storage facility. read more

I misplaced my keys , my fault no doubt but you have to wait two weeks to get the lock cut ???? Really ...

This facility has roach issues. I found numerous roaches in my storage unit. The staff acknowledged it was an issue and stated they had sprayed two weeks prior and did not know when the exterminator would return. Taryn Cox who is the manager, failed to provide an adequate remedy. In addition, the AC does not work. read more

We have been using the Public Storage on Jackson St. for a few years now; Ms. Serena has been a delight and such a help when it comes to working with us and our multiple storage units. Very clean and friendly environment, also pretty knowledgeable on happenings around the city that are of great benefit to those who are not from the area. Thank you for being a kind person and being a great partner! :) read more

The policies are sneaky and shady. There's no dumpster or trash cans on-site. However, the place is clean and air conditioned. The lady in the office is nice. I don't feel like I got my money's worth. This place reminds me of one of those no-name, family-owned storages not a Public Storage. read more

Horrible service. Reserved a unit online and came to get a unit and the manager would only show me one unit in the back and when I asked if there were any other ones open she said that there were but could not rent it to me because this was opened the longest. Then went to book another one online an hour later and went out there 5 minutes later and waited in the parking lot for 20 minutes because the manager was not there. Then when she gets there I give her the reservation for a 1st floor unit, she was quick to tell me there were none open on the first floor. I was like I made the reservation 30 minutes ago. Then she taps on her keyboard and makes an excuse that the one one the first floor is under maintainance and can't be rented. Also tells me that the online reservation does not guarantee you the unit. It seems as if she didn't want to rent to me and I live right next to it. read more

The staff is great. Serena took the time to make sure I was aware of recent updates to the slight change with the hours of operation (COVID related). She is genuinely friendly and always asks me how I'm doing when we see each other. Anyone who is looking for a place to store some things might want to do it at this location. The loading dock is on a wide and quiet street, the building is just 2 stories and it never seems busy enough that I have any problem gettin in/out or ever have to wait for a push cart to help me access or collect some things. I would highly recommend this establishment. read more

Great customer service, Michelle was wonderful, fast and efficient, good price on the units. Very helpful.

This isn't just the worst Public Storage facility I have ever used, it is the worst storage facility I have ever used/seen in my life. They are the most expensive while providing the least service. The elevator is broken 2 out of 3 times I have been there, and there is no one in the office regularly. When this happens, I am unable to use my unit or access my belongings. I have called to complain to corporate multiple times and they always forward me to a managers voice mail box and my messages are never returned. After having this happen for the 4th time today, I called the main corporate office and the line doesn't even get answered. The only way to access the stairs is through an emergency exit, which is locked, which is a complete violation of local building code and fire regulations. Lastly, they reduced their hours of access but did not notify me or apply any discounts. read more

Public Storage is a hot mess. My issue is mostly With the Organization itself, and not necessarily the on-site manager. The company itself is HIGHLY disorganized, and the billing is a joke. I have 3 units reserved and have direct billing set up for each unit. For whatever reason my direct payment keeps being declined. Then Public Storage blames it on my bank but my bank showed my proof that my payment was sent to them but for whatever reason, Public Storage returned my payments. When I called the 800 number, the rep was completely incompetent and rude. Instead of taking ownership, he blamed it on me for their issues. I was furious! i'm currently out of the country, and I'm having to call long distance on a daily basis to try to get this resolved to no avail. And their app does not work overseas either. I flip homes, I frequently need to use storage units. And I can honest say I will NEVER use Public Storage again. stay away from the disorganized company! read more

I have rented two separate units at this facility over the last two years. I currently have a unit on the 3rd floor. I went today after not being in for many months and the a/c is clearly not working on half of the third floor. It was incredibly warm both outside and inside my unit. There was also evidence of bug feces on top of some of my crates. I spoke with the woman at the front desk (who was very nice and helpful) and she informed me that they have been trying to get the a/c fixed correctly since May! So that means everyone with a unit on at least the third floor has been paying exorbitant amounts of money for "climate controlled storage" that spent the Houston summer not climate controlled. I strongly urge you to check on your units if you rent here and please lodge a formal email complaint like I have. There is, of course, no phone number that connects you to offsite management so maybe if they get enough complaints from their paying customers they'll fix it for real. For everyone else, I'd look to store your things elsewhere read more

We found the best price inside the Loop at this facility--other places nearby were charging as much as double for less space than we received here. Reserving a space online took seconds, and the entire check in/signing of contracts took less than 10 minutes. And first month's rent was just $20! The location couldn't be better--in Midtown, just outside the Downtown core. The security is excellent, and Alicia and the on-site staff couldn't be more helpful. read more

I made a reservation for move-in on Saturday, January 6th online. My daughter was moving from out of town and starting college on Monday, and we had to return the rental van on Sunday morning, so our window of time was limited to get her things in storage. I called the location twice and left two messages asking them to confirm they would be in the office--the voicemail said they were open on Saturday and gave the office hours. Although we didn't get a call back, since the recording said they were open, we brought our movers and van to the location in Midtown, Houston. No one was in the office and several other customers were standing outside the locked office. It is now Monday, no one has ever returned my call. I went online to try to cancel my reservation and have been unable to log in using the reservation number Public Storage texted to me. I called the 800 # and got a recording saying they open at 5 am (it is 6:30 am here). Your service is terrible! I just want to be sure that I will not be charged for services you did not provide. I was able to get prompt help and move all her things in to Big Tex storage within an hour, but Public Storage cost us valuable time we did not have to spare. read more

This place is clean and all staff have been relatively friendly, but they keep the carts in the office, you have to give an ID to get one, and if the agent is busy they lock it. I have had to wait 20 min for a cart, and today I had to wait 20 minutes to get my ID back because the agent ran an errand while she had my ID. She did not put a note on the door about when she was coming back, she was just gone and my ID locked in the office and I was ready to leave. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Also, when I have had issues or questions I call and call and can never get anyone on the phone. I ALWAYS have to go in person. They also hiked my rent $50 after 6 months and did not notify me as stated in our agreement. No email about it, when all other communication is by email. I found their method sneaky. The site agent and the man I spoke to at customer service ( I was only given a # with a person on the other end after going in person to complain) said they could not do anything about it. I am taking my money elsewhere, I suggest you do too. read more

at first - bit of rough start, but I can tell the people working there are really trying. for those who are complaining about horrible service - I feel your pain but I think they are really trying to work it out and so far have been responding to my requests to see that the place is accessible at 6AM and that things like burnt out bulbs are being replaced. will re-assess in a month or two - but I do hope my optimism is justified... read more
