I spoke with Dora today at public storage on I10 @kirkwood. And she was one of the sweetest people you could ever meet. She was making her rounds in the heat and rain. And I stopped her to tell her that I had called the office weeks ago and left a message about why my payments were increasing so much. She said she would make an inquiry as to why no one returned my phone call. She was just filling in today. She had a smile on her face regardless of how hot it was and my complaints. I have rented storage units here in and off for years. The employees are friendly but don't seem to have any authority to do anything or be helpful. I currently have two roof leaks and I've had roof leaks in my unit before. Current manager has put in request for repairs but still nothing. Changing my 2 stars to 4. I sent an email to district manager and a roofer was at my unit within hours. Unfortunate that I had to send email but happy with prompt response. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Save yourself the frustration and hassle and don't rent here. Access hours are only 9:30-6. This is a storage unit where people can only access during this short time span?!?! How ridiculous is that???? It didn't used to be this bad on hours but am cancelling my storage now bc of the awful access hours. 6 people lined up today to get in by 9:30...horrible. All I can say is "buyer beware." Over a sixteen month period my indoor (climate controlled) unit was broken into TWICE. On the second incident last month the thief made his way into the hallway after hours and sheared off the sliding door handle of my unit and several others. The most frustrating thing is that this could have been easily averted by placing a security camera aimed down the hallway. The management says that they have "asked corporate" for such a device but were turned down. ...so I am voting with my feet and getting out of there. By the way, over the past two years "corporate" has managed to raise my rent two times. I am now paying 32% more now than my original lease amount. read more

Literally the worst customer service experience I've ever experienced. Tried to move my stuff in on my specified move-in day. As we all know, life happens and moves don't always go as planned. There was a huge storm on my move date and delayed me slightly. I got to the facility right at 5:58 (which they apparently they close at 6 and don't allow remote after hours access). The guy in the building saw me pulling up and ignored me and sneaks out the back door and then walks right by my car and I roll down the window to ask him how to get into the storage facility to move my stuff in and he ignored me and got in his car and left. I go to the remote access entry and it tells me to call the after-hours number to get access remotely. I call and spoke with a lady who was like we don't allow access after 6pm for moving in (which personally I think is silly but it's there policy and my mistake choosing this place). I explained to the lady that I had actually arrived before 6pm and that their on-site rep ignored me and left. She told me in the sassiest rudest voice "according to my watch it's 6:33". I explained that yes I was aware of the current time and that I still had arrived before 6 and then waited 30 minutes on the phone to speak with someone. I asked is there anyway they can open the gates so my movers and I can move in my stuff because I was there on time. She said she had the ability to allow me in but wouldn't because it's their policy that no moving in past 6pm. I stressed that I had arrived before 6 but she clearly wasn't going to help. This was some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Not only did the on-site rep ignore me to leave early -the phone rep was rude and had no sympathy for the fact that sometimes moves don't go as planned -and even though I got there before 6 I was still ignored. Terrible experience. Will never use this storage facility again. read more

I had a wonderful experience with Public Storage. A move out date which didn't directly align with a move in date required me to store my things for a pretty short period of time. The team here went above and beyond to accommodate the timeline and offer cost-saving strategies. The only down side was the operational hours, but if you are flexible with that Is recommend them in a heartbeat! read more

Horrible customer service. Bought 9 boxes from them--5 were so old the sides had rotted out. Took them back and they said just tape them up--not at $3.39 per box. They wouldn't exchange or refund. Never going there again. read more

This location has terrible customer service!!! The only thing that made this location great was Michael the manager who is no longer there. If anything goes wrong corporate will not be there to help. I have been trying for over 3 months to resolve a matter and have yet to receive a call from corporate. There are much better storage facilities out there. I have been storing my things in this Public Storage which is on the i-10 feeder near Kirk wood for only 2 months and I already have been charged $20.00 more this month for a late fee of $9.00 for a pro rated fee that was due and I was never contacted via phone or email . I really did not have a problem with the fee just feel they should have at least spoken with me before it reached this point since they have my email. But, after several attempts to get some positive results via the manager at this location the only one whom was kind enough to help me was Tina. The District Manager basically told them to make me pay the fee or else I would be charged Lien fees Etc. The amount of the fee did not make me want to move out but the manner in which this was handle has made me look into other Storage Companies that may render me much Better Customer Service. I work in the customer service business and I know the Golden rule is very simple " The Customer is Always Right ". read more

The manager, Michael, was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help me when I first moved in. I had to come at a later time near the closed hour and he was willing to stay after the business hour to take care of my needs. Michael is very friendly and accommodating, professional and capable. He prepared all the paperwork in advance to make the move-in process extremely smooth and fast. The service I received was extraordinary. It was the best storage experience I have ever encountered. I would recommend this Public Storage to anyone and I will surly keep coming back whenever I need a storage. Michael, thank you so much for you dedication to customer service. I cannot say enough about the excellent experience my daughter and I had getting moved into a unit. Michael was extremely helpful, very professional, answered all our questions, and went above and beyond. The temperature was 100 degrees for our move in...he set up cross ventilation, made sure we had cold water, and checked to make sure we were ok. His attention to detail is reflected in the entire facility from cleanliness, organization and security. I am so grateful we ended up renting here. Highly recommend. read more
