Since I arrived a little before the front office opened, I waited until the attendant showed up. Right when she arrived, Kayla said she would help us out once she finished setting up. Once we explained the issue and showed her my mistake, she looked through the other available units and was able to find one that would fit our needs. There was 6" to 8" of snow and ice in front of our storage unit as we moved in this morning. We had to go home and get shovels and ice melt to clear out in front of our spot. It was easy to rent a spot online and they text you your unit number and the code to get into the gate. read more

Storage was robbed and was not even contacted. I had not gone to my storage for a month so I had no clue it had been robbed and no cops had been called. No report was made and now a month later I'm trying to figure out what happened to my unit. Would have been better to have known when it happened so I could have maybe got my stuff back and or caught who had robbed me. All my stuff that was taken is worth way more then the insurance will cover and I'm stuck with just being out of luck an out my belongings. Really is shitty that people would rob me but worse that I moved my shit across the country twice paying thousands just to have all of it stolen from me. No camaras except the door by entrance. WOW - HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! BEWARE - BAIT & SWITCH Quoted, confirmation emailed and text messaged a price for a 5x5 storage for a total move in cost for $25 in BOLD WRITING. Arrived and showed the 5x5 unit and the attendant Billie said it would cost $49 to move-in. I called the corporate number to find out what was going on and they said that the email had fine print in which insurance and lock (rental?) would drive the price up more. This company quoted me, with no mention of the lock and insurance costs, just to get me in the door & switched the price when I arrived. Their dishonest and unethical business practices should be a clear signal to NOT DO BUSINESS with Public Storage throughout the nation. A complete waste of time. read more

I rented a unit on Monday morning. The guy Chris checked me in was very nice. So I go back to put some stuff in about 7. I drive close to gate one other person in front of me. She puts her code in and then she keeps breaking and inching and breaking. I have a 26 foot truck that can't do that. So was getting ready to back up a bit when she yells out the window back up you dumb bitch I work here. So then I just put my truck in park because she refused to move. She got out of her car Kept yelling did you hear me you dumb fucking bitch. Are you deaf you cunt. She said I work here and can get fired if you don't put in your own code. I said I was going to. She said back up you dumb fucking cunt and just kept name calling. I work here and I can kick you out tonight if you don't do what I say. I said I would if you quit yelling at me. Then she started screaming for the guy upstairs to come down. He came down and said I can make you move out tonight and will call the cops. I said if she didn't cuss at me I would of moved but she said she worked here and she was calling the cops and having me arrested. He just wanted to yell at me and said I was tail gating and I could get evicted for that. I said I would of backed up but she was very abusive with her language. He said well she really doesn't work here she is my girlfriend and she lives here. She was still yelling and yelling at me. He was very mean to me and then said I am not working right now so get your code in and get your stuff in storage I am not dealing with you. I said why did you come down yelling at me then. He said cause my girlfriend was yelling for me. I said I would call corporate in the morning. He got really sassy and said do you want me to call them for you. She also had another person in her car that was riding around the storage units on his bike. It makes someone feel uneasy when we have to have a code to get in but the worker can give code out and have whoever they want in the area. I have never been talked to like this from someone and it's so sad that someone who doesn't even work there can treat customers like that. Public Storage so they reached out to me and because they don't want to do anything about employee and his girl friend and the whole family that lives above the storage unit she says maybe we should move your stuff to a new location. Ya at who's cost. They said they can't do much because it was the employees girlfriend who verbally attacked me (even though she lives on the property ) and happened on property so I guess I'm suppose to just rent another truck and move a 10x30 unit because their lack of keeping their customers safe. This is the problem no one cares about their customers right now. Just their employees who were wrong too. He was yelling at me too and threatening to have me evicted cause I got too close to her car at the gate when trying to go in. This was the district manager I believe her name is mia. read more

Lu was very helpful and friendly and we took care of the paperwork quickly with Lu explaining all the salient points of various parts of the paperwork. Racketeers overseeing cheaply-built, overpriced units, where you have to wonder whether your stuff is safe from flooding and theft. Not a good or secure place to store your valuables, so be forewarned. We had a unit here for almost a year, and we moved here because our previous storage unit was a U-Haul Self Storage outside of town, where the units were literally old U-Haul truck boxes sitting in a field, full of mice and free from any real management or staff you can actually reach on the telephone. The only real benefit we gained was that we didn't have to drive as far, and could actually reach the staff if we had questions. The units are expensive, and even though we got a free month when we moved in ("first month free!") we had to pay the mandatory $11 insurance premium (which does NOT cover flooding), buy a $20 cylinder lock (the only kind they use at this location), and pay a prorated amount to cover the first partial month we were there. Because they bill per calendar month, if you move in on the 2nd they'll bill you for the rest of the month, then give you your free month for the second month you're there. Which you still have to pay insurance for, naturally. The side walls of all the units are hanging walls with a 1-2" gap underneath, meaning you can see between them and if one unit floods, it will flow in between them. Since flooding is not covered by the mandatory insurance, the rep tried to sell us a drop cloth smaller than our actual unit to protect our stuff for another fifteen bucks or so. Should have told me something. Everything went okay for a time, then they locked us out when we didn't have our payment in on time. Which is understandable, except they drilled out the cylinder lock we bought from them so they could inventory the unit for auction if we didn't pay up. So in addition to paying the rent and the late fees and the lien few, we had to buy another $20 lock, which we could ONLY get from them. When it happened a second time, I paid the rent and fees but didn't get another lock (for which the price had risen to $24, much like our rent had also risen). I figured that theirs would protect my stuff just as well until I needed to get in there again. I was wrong. Finally, we came in to move out, and I asked them to open the unit so we could. I was told (by a surly female worker) that if we didn't get everything out in one trip, they would lock it again and I would be required to pay for a lock to get the rest out--for another $24--or they wouldn't open it again. Also, the lock would be non-refundable, so I would have to pay $24 for a lock I probably would not even have to use. We managed to get everything in one trip, fortunately, but you can see where they make a lot of money from their overpriced proprietary lock racket. While unloading, we discovered that our living room rug had been stolen from our unit at some point. Since they sell you locks and don't keep copies of the keys (so if you lose yours, it's time to buy a new lock), it can only be concluded that it was stolen after they drilled out our lock and replaced it with their own. The math from there isn't hard to do, if only their staff members had access to our unit and things were taken. In short, I would strongly recommend against doing any business with these crooks. Some of the staff I worked with was okay, but that doesn't make up for the unsecured unit with unprofessional, unfriendly workers watching over it and STEALING YOUR THINGS when you yourself are locked out of your unit. I'm going to try to make a claim against the insurance I was required to have, but even a settlement (and/or a new rug) won't make up for the fact that we paid them to keep our things safe and they STOLE them. After being in this unit for just over 2 months, everything I stored in my unit suffered crippling water damage. The water did not come in from under the door, it came from the ceiling, as was evidenced by water on top of every item at the back of the garage. The immediate response from the employee there was "well, you should have gotten the water damage insurance", which, well, yeah in hindsight was great advice. Being that I rented a unit with a door that was 6" above the driveway, it didn't occur to me that I'd need it. He didn't seem sure that having the water damage insurance would have helped anyway. After losing thousands of dollars worth of furnishings, I'd recommend folks to find someplace else. read more

I am a easy going girl and had to call my husband to help because I was going to seriously have a verbal row. - So here is the story.... This is not my unit but my husband's (a wonderful, and successful, and upstanding man who I recently married) After paying over 1000's for storing items over a period of 8 years I pull the plug (constant increases via postcard every year). I let them know I'm coming in (doesn't matter) and bring the junk removal people. Here's the REALLY GOOD part! I walk in and pay my $40 for the rent increase. I ask,"My passcode will work now?" I am assured yes. The junk guys follow me to the gate and the code does not work. I leave my car running go back to office and am told they can't open the gate unless I go back to the car and get my ID. "I just paid that girl next to you 2 minutes ago!" I say. The other girl doesn't even turn around. "You must park your car outside the gate and walk in here to show your ID on way out," the dark haired VERY disagreeable woman says. Fine! Do Not Ever Deal with these people. Find a better place as there are many. read more

Nobody has had a good experience with her and she will not help you at all with payments once your late. She is rude, hangs up on current clients all the time and is extremely bitchy. Once she gets your money is turns into a raging bitch and hangs up on you. Save your money at all costs and DO NOT keep your Storage at this unit!!! I'm not really happy with this place. The staff wasn't friendly or even kind of sympathetic. They don't prorate after 6 days. So they are willing to double dip, I am getting my stuff out today, the 13th, but now the unit will stay empty and unused, because I refuse to let them make almost double what I pay for the storage unit, If they would have even been a little friendly, it would be a totally different story, but they are not friendly at all. To make it more frustrating they keep charging me additional charge after additional fee, but they cannot pay somebody to plow the roads, so it's slick in there and hard to get around read more

I have had a storage unit here for 4 years. When I moved in my space was just under $100 per mth. Now it is $148 per mth. I guess that how they treat loyal customers.
